My ECU was coming up with code 13 which was the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor - i read up further on it and it seemed to be controlling the amount of petrol flow depending on the car's temperature.. I checked the plugs and they were cooked..So i rectified it and ECU came up with code 55 but the car still stutters/starves up top end.. I remember someone saying that one his tuners grounded one of the ECU pinout's as a 'temporary' fix..which? I have no idea.. Im going to get my car put on the dyno to diagnose the problem..I'll let you guys know how i go.. RB20DET Silvia - i suggest you check your plugs/sensors as they may have corroded etc; over time..As a rule of thumb, as soon as the ECU comes up with a fault, it should be looked into ASAP and not be put into the "but i dont think this would be the issue" bin Merry Xmas

hey mate - i have a CA s13 and i have the exact same problem - i've rectified all portions to the point where my ECU is spitting out code 55 but still no go It feels like it's starving up top end yeah?

Hey all, i've got a Trust RSPL intercooler up for grabs that i was going to mount upto my silvia but it proved too large for my application so im looking to downgrade to an 80mm core or so. As can be seen in the pics, there are a few bent fins but nothing substantial enough to restrict airflow (or will it ) The dimensions of the cooler is 600x300x100mm with a 3" Inlet tank and 2.75" outlet tank. Please note that the 2.75" tank was initially 3" but i got it replaced to 2.75" to suit the VSPL piping kit. In the process of replacing the 3" tank to 2.75", i made it clear to the alloy welder that the genuine Trust tanks are not to be tampered with. Hence, the alloy welder had only replaced the section housing the outlet pipe, both inlet and outlet still have the genuine Trust tanks Price: $550 ONO OR STRAIGHT SWAP FOR A 76/80mm CORE!!
