  2. Hey All, Thanks for the replies... I wanted to avoid putting in a computer if i could because of the cost... Does anyone know where i can get a Power FC and controller at a decent price, i can only find them at modyourcar.com.au for like $1300 or so. I want to run 12psi safely and even up to 14psi if needed, and i plan to get the larger injectors and fuel pump, and i heard that a Z32 AFM from a 300ZX or something is required for a bit more power also? Thanks.
  3. Hey all, Just wondering if replacing the stock 330CC injectors with some larger 550CC on an R34 GTT will work without hassles or will i have problems??? I still have a stock ECU and wasnt sure if doing this will screw it up? I want to run 12psi safely and was thinking of upgrading the injectors and fuel pump, but didnt want to if i'll need an aftermarket computer aswell as the cost is getting too high then... Any comments are appreciated! Thanks.
  4. Bass Junky - Thanks for the closeure!
  5. Hey all, Here is a pic to show you what i mean... [see attachment] There is no "stock oil cooler" on the left... and the chrome sticker on the radiator has "71" on it where the other 5 or so R34 GTT's I have seen had "74" on them. See on the right how there is a thermo fan connected to what looks like a cooler or some sort which has been determined to be something for the air con... Comments?
  6. Hey, Whats this FAST thing for skylines? What is it used for? Is it able to be downloaded? Thanks.
  7. Hey, The photos in the mag i am talking about are in Hot4s Mag Issue 139 (Latest issue) on page 151. I have a MANUAL R34 GTT and i do NOT have the small looking oil cooler they claim is standard so i dont know what is going on. I cant even see any oil lines or brackets anywhere for where it MIGHT have been... lol. Any suggestions? Thanks.
  8. I also forgot to mention the reason why i was going into the temp guage is because the guide in the mag said its common for a mildly tuned car's oil temp to sit around 120 - 130 degrees and thought that mine was sitting 30 degrees lower due to the large oil cooler... ??? My car is a 1998 model, but yeah, all the guages read fine and are quite resposive quickly... Is there any way of getting rid of that annoying 180km/h speed restriction, or do you have to replace the computer? Thanks again.
  9. Drift_Limo - I just checked the kickpanel and it IS a factory computer It was a recent (even latest?) copy of either FastFours or Hot4s mags. I'll double check tomorrow coz its my mates mag. Only reason we got into investigating my car in the first place was because of the oil cooling guide in it. They recommend an oil cooler but then have pics of a stock R34 GTT as a sample WITH one fitted as stock they claim... I just had a look of some other R34 GTT pics i have saved and none of them seem to have the oil cooler fitted either... maybe it was a typo in the mag and they meant to say R34 GTR? Anyway, on the subject of aftermarket computers, would you recomment a microtech or power fc??? I found microtechs for $1450 and power fc's for $1349 so im leaning more to the power fc moneywise (only $100 i know), but have heard microtechs have more in-depth capabilities of tuning and have more functions, and are more commonly able to be tuned by more people than the fc... Thanks all.
  10. Drift_Limo - Ok, thanks for that! So the pics in the mags were of GTT's without air con? Or was that fitted as stock without having to be an option? Why would i NOT have a oil cooler then, because there is plenty of room there where it should be... And my oil temp never rises much above the line BELOW half way (about 100 degrees i think it sits at when completely warmed up) It stays there from the long drive from Sydney and when i give the car a bit of a flog... I'll check about the ECU tomorrow in the kickpanel. Stel - No, the car felt and sounded fine at high boost (1 - 1.5 bar) and just kept pulling... More info/comments would be good! Thanks for the replies!
  11. Hey, I just found out today that my R34 GTT has been fitted with a HUGE aftermarket oil cooling system that i didnt even know about! My mate showed me some pics in a mag of a stock R34 GTT oil cooler setup and asked where mine was and I got very pissed off that my car didnt have it. Then we took a look under the bonnet to double check that it definately wasnt there. I asked him where all my oil lines were and he searched but couldnt locate. Then he stepped back in disbelief and pointed to what i thought was my radiator. He went and grabbed his mags again and compared my car to the stock photos. It turns out my car has a HUGE 600mm oil cooler infront of my radiator along with an electric thermo fan bolted onto it, then my radiator sits where it should with another thermo fan bolted onto the other side. Then after closer investigation, it seems i may have a larger than stock radiator also... mine has a "CALSONIC" radiator with a chromish sticker saying "74" on it, but all the pics of the stock radiators in the mags had "71" on their sticker, so my mate thinks it may be a larger one... it also has nissan stampped into it... so we are not 100% sure. This got me thinking more about my car, as I imported it directly from Japan only a few weeks ago, but I was told i was purchasing a fully stock one, but when it arrived, it was modded up nicely. When i got the car home and got fomfortable with the handling etc, i switched my electronic boost controller over to high boost and planted it, and to my horror, the boost guage in the dash which use to go up to .5 bar (7 psi) shot up past the 1.0 bar (14 psi) line and stopped at the end of the guage. I thought i had blown the engine or something but then tuned it back to run 12 psi on high boost for safeguarding the engine till i know what is going on etc. Would it be possible at all to run at least 1 bar (14+ psi) using my stock injectors/computer etc??? I thought they were limited to 14 psi then they get a fuel cut to prevent damage etc? What would i need to do to see if i have larger injectors and an aftermarket computer without pulling the engine and car apart????? Any help / comments / info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

  15. Hey, Im new to the site. Looks sweet, good work! Im thinking of buying a skyline as my next car and just have some questions about them. Im looking at getting a manual 1993+ R33 GTS-t and maybe as an M-spec. Here are my questions: 1. What is the differences between an standard R33 GTS-t and an R33 GTS-t M-spec? Details and a full list would be appreciated. 2. What are the common problems with R33 GTS-t's? 3. Are there any differences at all between 1993/1994/1995 R33 GTS-t's? 4. How much psi does a stock R33 GTS-t produce, and what is the maximum/safe amount of psi you can run on stock internals? 5. What main components are required to double the stock psi output of an R33 GTS-t? Like gearbox, CVs, pistons, etc... Thats all I can think of at the moment, but im sure i will think of more as the time comes closer till I finally get my Skyline. I will be looking closely at the cars for sale on the site and hopefully I might find one that im looking for. Thanks.
