  1. What are the spec of the standard garrett turbo?
  2. Do I need to get a BKC if I have an SBC-ID already? I dont understand, Are you saying I can run a map sensor with an apexi power fc?
  3. I have a 200sx running an rb25det that I'm currently taking to about 500bhp. I was going to run a power fc but sold it to go for a map sensor. I then bought an AEM ecu, but now it seems that after a lot of problems between aem and rb25's that some issues are not going to be resolved, at least for the time being and as the car has been off the road for 3 months now (again), I'd just like to move on. I have heard of cars suffering random unexplained miss fires etc... (anyone who knows more let me know please) I am now thinking of returning my AEM ecu and have been considering my options.... there is not an rb25 d jetro so the power fc is a no go. does anyone know if the link ecu's run map sensor?? wide band? what price is motec or omex? I am interested in the motec M48, has anyone used this? any links or info would be great. I need to stay wwith the map sensor really as I plumbed in my new plenum for the map sensor and dont want to start again to stop unmetered air issues with a maf. by the way, I'm in the uk so i'm not sure if anyone here could map microtech etc..... thanks Tom
  4. yay , progress! thanks mate How much are these over there?

  6. Ok mine is a series 1. it has the ignitor at the back on the top. I'm thinking these are series 2 cams as I cant see how they woulb send r34 ones and i'm sure the box said r33 rb25det. Is it ok to swap series1/2 cas. how much are they on here as I only found one tuner over here and they want nerly $1200au . that was for the r34 though. I still would like to find an image of what cams / cas haved what drive, just to be sure what I have. If they are 34 cams i'll just sell them.
  7. 143050 ECR33 Series 2 (RB25DET) - Duration: IN, EX 256 Lift: IN,EX 8.5mm Thats what its says on the nengun web site. So if I have these cams and they dont fit???? I must have a series 1 motor? unless thery sent the wrong ones... but i chucked the box now. How can I tell quickly if i have a series 1? Can someone post a photo of series 1 and 2 or r34 cas? I just want to know what car has the cas driven by these cams. thanks Tom
  8. The month and year of the car is unknown as its in my s13and I forgot he car I got it out of...... oh well... I do know its a series two, I think it was a 96 or 97. The cams came in a box that I chucked out, but they were for an r33. Maybe a late on with the r34 cas?? I have spoken to some guys here in the uk and I'm sure I have r34 cams so I'm going to fit r34 cas. Thanks for the help lads. Tom
  9. I was trying to fit my tomei poncams last night and everything was fine until........ I tried to fit the Cas unit to the front of the exhaust cam, its got a different kind of 'conection'. Is there a difference between some of the rb25's cas unit? Mine has teeth and one locating lug that sticks out, the cam has two locating lugs... I live in the uk and bought the cams from nengun so I am going to have to find some way of making them work, even If i have to buy a different Cas unit. please help, anyone with photos of diffenert cas or cams? thanks Tom
  10. Got myslef a CPC plenum to go on my rb25det along with a bunch of other stuff. There is no fitting for the IAC valve, what have other people done with regards to this? I was thinking about using a fitting and making the IAC valve remote. Any one who has fitted one of these, or a smilar one, could you let me know what issues you had and what you did to solve them. cheers Tom
  11. I'm currently taking my s13 rb25 to 500ish hp and have run into a brick wall. I had bought a tubular manifold with t3 flange off ebay. But then my turbo choice changed (gt3076r with t28 flange). I got myself a flange adaptor plate to go from t3 to t28, but it seems the manifold is a pile of crap and the flange is more like T3ish.... serves me right its the only part I skimped on..... I am wanting to buy another manifold now, but rather than go t3 and use this adaptor, I was wandering if anyone knew of a half decent rb25 manifold with a t28 flange on it? I'm using internal WG but if the manifold is for exturnal I can block it off so this is not a huge problem. Any help would be great as I now have a car with a head, no cams, no plenum and no sign of a fitting manifold. thanks is advance Tom
  12. I hope they fit.!! I just spent £850 with nengun on a twin plate + ultralight fly.....
  13. I now have just about all the parts I need for my next upgrade to my Rb25det s13. I have GT3076r sard 550's 1.5mm head gasket New extra strong belt CPC plenum 80mm TB Power FC Tomei cams Greddy cam pulleys to go with FMIC filter and exhaust. As I have gone for the CPC plenum I will not have an idle speed valve on the plenum. How can I controll the idle? I havent run a set up like this so its a bit new to me. I worked on a supra like this but they are map from stock. Im sure the AFM would need changing for this power (350-400ish rwhp i hope) anyway for a z32, but would I be better off getting a map sensor with regards to the idle? Can anyone point me towards one that will do the job i need it to? Cheers Tom
  14. no im being thick and need to learn to read. ignore me......
  15. I am looking at either greddy or hks cam pulleys. The hks pulleys are sided, one for inlet and one for exhaust. The greddy ones I have found on nengun are not sided, just two identical pulleys. Is this normal? just dont want to buy something wrong and I prefere the greddy ones. thanks Tom
  16. cant make them on my driveway though....... will be getting some nice bent pipes oonce I fit my CPC plenum. I think the CPC one is the best, thats why Im having one shipped all the way to the UK!
  17. this is my current set up, theres no room over the top of the engine for the pipes, the hood would never shut. This gives a long way for air to go, but i made it from narrrow exhaust tubing to keep the volume down. its only running 0.7bar on stock tubby now anyway. (sorry huge pics) I am going to run gt3071r with supporting mods in a couple of months so have recently ordered a custom plenum creations rb25det plenum. Its a very good price and very good plenum, can run nice short pipes then, yay.
  18. I have an RB25det which I put in my s13. I am now planning to go GT3071R, 550cc injectors etc.... I want to use the apexi poweer fc as management, but I can find 3 different listings for the rb25det. As far as I am aware, I bought the engine from an r33, its series 2 i believe. Does anyone know whihc power fc serial number I would need? Thanks Tom
  19. Very interested in the cams and the manifold. Could you give a price by pm for the shipping costs to Cambridge England.
  20. Inerested, but confused. You say its exturnally gated and comes with wastegate, But the picture shows an internally gated rear housing? Can you confirm either way please? Cheers Tom
  21. Having seen your work and prices I am looking forward to getting one of your plenums for my RB25 s13 and one for my old mans supra. On the s13, you need to change the plenum to shut the bonnet....... p.s Ariel, I will sort payment out soon and send runners over from the uk
  22. very interested, can you get a price for shipping to Cambridge England. Thanks Tom
