Thanks for the replies..... With the AVC-R I am planning on having the two presets at something like 7 psi for normal driving which should be what I am running now I guess.... and the second preset at about 12 psi which I only want to use when I want to blow someone away at the lights So I dont really have to worry about running too high a boost over a long period of time as it will only be used in short spurts....

Hiya, I am currently running my 95 R33 series I with the only mods I am aware of being A full turbo back HKS exhaust and HKS air pod.... I am very happy with both of these ...... I am looking at buying a second hand GTR cooler and an apexi AVC-R to install at the same time... My questions are if I install both the cooler and boost controller along with my mods I already have what could I turn the boost up to safely ( still wanting a decent increase though ), I was thinking around 12 ish???? ( its around 7 standard isnt it??? ) ... Is it worth turning the boost up that much ... ie will I get a noticable increase in power ???? .... And is there anything else that should be improved if I was going to go ahead with the increase in boost???? Thanks Brett

Hmmmm..... I would also have to say that Good Trade stalls with good deals ( the word good there is important ) is a good start. A nice selection of driving events perhaps, a selection of different cars ( RICE and PERFORMANCE ) and of course some nice girls to ogle at :uh-huh: Cheers Brett

Hey!!! I got my skyline from DC Imports!!!! I can also vouch (sp?) for them..... I am very happy with my purchase I don't see many skylines there these days though ( when I got mine from them there were heaps ) Never did notice the shop next door though :confused: Brett

Haha Boostzor.... What I was getting at was that I wouldnt mind having lunch as a way of meeting you guys!!!!! I havent met many of you guys in the past and I cant make the cruise this week so the lunch is my way of saying hi!!!! Actually I beleive you were about the only person I spoke to at my last cruise.... If you remember it was at the start of the cruise at the OMNI building that night it got rained out really badly... We went up the coast then back down the freeway.... then we lost everyone because we didnt have a map :uh-huh: I had the black R33.....anyways ..... Hey!!! I also work in West Perth...... just a block down from the IBM building and parlament house..... do you guys actually drive your lines into work??? If so that would explain why I am forever seeing them going past parlament house at lunch time!!! I'm lucky cause I got a company car so I can save my line for the weekends .... Hehe ... yeah I must admit that 3 out of 4 times I go to pay my token gets spat back out at me then so does my money!!!! The only problem I really get there oftern though is that the ramp between floors get get rather step. There have been many times where I have bottomed out my front spoiler on those ramps.... I am forever repainting the bottom of it :lol: Brett

Hiya, It depends on what rear lock your skyline had...... there are two types ..... a pewter style finish with the word nissan ( I think this one is more common ) and a crome style finish with a black circle and nissan written on it. Mine was the pewter style finish and I managed get get the only one he had. So if your is the same I think you will be out of luck... But if it is the crome looking one then I can probably dig up his details again.... I know he is located in Malaga, but I will have to find his details... I am at work at the moment... Brett

Hiya Guys.... I was parked at one of the multi stories on Murray St and I was there about mid afternoon .... I have parked there many times before and never had any problems. When I came back to my car there was a VL that was modded next to me ( done badly ) that was looking pretty grubby ( had yellow sticker and all ) .... I know its all theory but I have a feeling it was those guys driving that..... I do have a high spec alarm and I thought it was strange because when I came back my alarm has in a weird state.... Anyways .... after a good stroke of luck I managed to get one through a wrecker here in Perth... and with a bit of work I got the nissan badge portion of the new one ( 2nd hand of course ) and attatched it to my existing one .... The best thing is after doing that I now dont have different keys and dont have to pay to get the new one recoded for my key.... at least I save a little there... This is the best outcome I could have hoped for ( No waiting to have it shipped .... my existing lock ... and not having to pay full price through Nissan ) Again a big thanks to everyone that took the time to reply and help out... A very relieved Brett

Hmmm yeah I thought about removing the lock... but then you run the risk that if your boot release ever fails you will have problems getting back in the boot .... yeah I have rung Nissan and the best price so far is $155 and two to three weeks from Japan... Ok.... so does anybody know where I can go and buy one in Perth.... Does anybody stock these on the shelves??? I want to get a replacement as soon as possible ... I have pulled the old lock out of the back already and it really ruins the looks when you see a large gaping hole in the boot They also stole my caps for the tires but I buy another set of those easily enough ( Funny thing is they only took three of them ???? ) Brett

Hiya Guys.... As the title indicates I am in need of a new lock for the boot of my car..... Some little b******* ripped mine off yesterday in the city.... My first problem is trying to find a replacement one in Perth. Does anyone know where I can go buy a new one? How much I am looking at ? Can anyone confirm that the lock barrel is connected to the rest of the lock so I will need a new key too??? I have heard this and it looks this way on the lock but I would like to confirm it... Also In response to PVA Glue's concern ..... 8) ... I have been on SAU forums for a fair while now and have been to one cruise so far ( Hey its a start 8) ), the cruise that got rained out pretty badly ( night cruise astarting at the Omni going up the coast then back down the freeway until we got lost after the Tunnel due to not having a map 8).... Anyway is ya can remember back that far I was driving a black R33 with GTR rear wing and a nismo front bar. Brett

Yeah you can get the add on wiring harness.... I just went down to my local car stereo place and picked one up off the shelf, it cost me about $30 but as you have already said, you dont have to cut any factory wires and all the new wires are colour coded and labeled correctly. Just get a nissan one ( obviously ) it seems like all nissans use the same wiring connections so you should be fine. MrGTST

Hiya Guys ( and Gals ) I know this belongs in the car audio forum but I post it here for a more speedy response hopefully ( feel free to move it there later ) I have a question.... I have an alpine cd player I want to put into my R33, I need to get some information about the wiring for a head unit in an R33.... I looked around and found the R32 in the audio forum... Would the R33 wiring be the same as the R32?? Or are there changes to look out for??? Basically I am looking out for a confirmation on wire colours and any other tricks I should be aware of. I want to attempt this tonight or tommorow and dont want to put my car out of action over the weekend... Thanks MrGTST

Yeah well I have a 55% NCB ... Thats the biggest RAC will give you and I am insureing my R33 for $26000 I believe.... so I am pretty happy with $1200 per year MrGTST

Hey Guys, I am with the RAC .... I am paying just over $1200 a year to insure my 95 GTST... Oh yeah and I am 23. I am pretty happy with it considering SGIO was charging me $1200 a year to insure my VL Commodore.... Which is for sale if anyone is curious :uh-huh: Now that I got my shameless plug out the way....
