  1. I highly doubt there's a nation wide conspiracy between skyline owners and dyno operators. Seems you're the odd man out..
  2. If you have no budget constraints it might be possible at a stretch.. Guaranteed, if you do work it that hard and it would have to be "fully worked" it'll be a temperamental pig of a thing to drive. A much better idea is either more cubes or forced induction. Been there, lost that.
  3. Berjiggity.. Damn double post
  4. Hey Knob end, pull your head in. Opinions were asked for and my opinion was given, from the info on ebay and the op most would say what I posted was a fair assumption. The post wasn't rude to you or your car...just my opinion on whether to purchase or not You've owned the car 6mths, driven it once, bought it with stockers on the rear and state it's not been thrashed??? Clues? Would anyone here think differently? doubt it. I stand by my original post, I'd pass.
  5. Young owner, stockers on the rear...I'd pass.
  6. Tap a nipple (coz the chicks dig it) instead of welding one on. Add rubber o ring or sealant and tighten... You'll need.. Threaded nipple o ring and/or thread sealant Thread tapper/tap. 10min Done.
  7. Stock car should pull around 160rwkw-214rwhp Tuned stock car 175-185rwkw 235-248rwhp @ 11psi The dyno might say higher, but that's about all a stocker is good for. Add inj & a pump then 200rwkw should be possible.
  8. Lol what ever fella.. I gave fair warning that caution must be used when burning off the wd-40 until full braking returns, maybe try reading my post again. Vibrations causing your brakes pads to squeak/squeel? It's the brake compound (too much brass) this has been an issue since asbestos pads were outlawed. To the OP, if you try it let me know how you go...many people have been using this method for many years (myself included) Delta, I understand it's a bit too much for you to get your head around, so you keep doing what your doing then wonder why the results never change.
  9. Science? Lol gtfo..... it works, there is your science, there is your solution. I'd assume it's because a part is squeaking, you add lube...burn off excess and embed enough into the pads to stop the issue at hand. Use it or not, makes no difference to me. It's your money Ralph.
  10. If you're a lazy bastard and enjoy a good short-cut. Spray a small amount of wd-40 on the rotors, then drive slowly around the block a few times with your foot on the brake (until you get full braking back) be very careful at first because you won't have a huge amount of stopping power until you burn the excess wd-40 off...Bob's your uncle. You might have to do this a few times for a permanent result. Screaching bakes are generally caused by too much brass in the pad compound....never had these problems with asbestos pads Ahhh the dangerous old days.
  11. 175-190 rwkw depending on condition. You may get a higher reading from a hp happy dyno...but that should be it or close to it anyway.
  12. Orbit, orbit...It's an Australian car/company! Hehehe, goes to show the H tagged onto the end of GM really is superfluous. American rubbish.
  13. The laws are just, it's only the people who place themselves outside of the law that have issues with it. Some people seem to think they have been individually targeted...No...The rules apply to all road users. Remove thumb from mouth, accept the law for what it is: THE LAW. Nobody is being persecuted, some people are just too stupid to accept things for how they are. They appear to not have the capacity to play within the rules. Get over it, get on with it! A.Hoon

  15. Ok..if you think it doesn't matter. That's fine.. or you could take 20 seconds and put the hoses on correctly. Goodluck
  16. cbf reading the entire thread, I changed one of these back to a stock setup last week... Looking at your pic the orange and green hoses are arse about.
  17. An extremely irate southbound duck with ibs?
  18. So many good quotes, Heres some funny ones.. Tropic Thunder Kirk Lazarus: Check it out. Dustin Hoffman, 'Rain Man,' look retarded, act retarded, not retarded. Counted toothpicks, cheated cards. Autistic, sho'. Not retarded. You know Tom Hanks, 'Forrest Gump.' Slow, yes. Retarded, maybe. Braces on his legs. But he charmed the pants off Nixon and won a ping-pong competition. That ain't retarded. Peter Sellers, "Being There." Infantile, yes. Retarded, no. You went full retard, man. Never go full retard. You don't buy that? Ask Sean Penn, 2001, "I Am Sam." Remember? Went full retard, went home empty handed Kirk Lazarus: I know what dude I am. I'm the dude playin' the dude, disguised as another dude! Kung Pow Mayor: That tiny net was sure-fire master! Master Betty: Yes, a tiny net is a death sentence, it's a net and it's tiny! Death Proof Stuntman Mike: [as he drives] Hey, Pam, remember when I said this car was death proof? Well, that wasn't a lie. This car is 100% death proof. Only to get the benefit of it, honey, you REALLY need to be sitting in my seat. [slams his boot to the brake and sends Pam flying face-first into the dashboard] Stuntman Mike: Because it was a fifty fifty shot on wheter you'd be going left or right. You see we're both going left. You could have just as easily been going left, too. And if that was the case... It would have been a while before you started getting scared. But since you're going the other way, I'm afraid you're gonna have to start getting scared... immediately!
  19. * Ponders what 2 vl commondork wheels could be used for... Ahhh.....Smoke em if you've got em hey, I bet they were popped before you even noticed them missing.
  20. Cool all sorted then.. So it's agreed, you need to change both of your rides? It'll be interesting to see what you end up with, sell and start again I say.. Easier, cheaper, better resale...ect..ect
  21. What no Doof Doof for increased downforce for high speed partying ? IBTMFL...
  22. Item sold pending payment, thanks all for your interest.
  23. If the penalties for all traffic offences were just demerit points do you think the system would still be as effective a deterrent? The majority of people are inherently dense, you have to spank them just like their mummy and daddy used to for any lesson to sink in. Public floggings are unfortunatly illegal so hurting them financially is the only way to assist people in a lesson well learnt. Now you don't want more fines do you? So you'll do what needs to be done to avoid receiving any more fines.. Message received? Govt gains revenue from the stupidity of it's residents = Bonus. When you look at it without an irrational bias it makes complete sense. Got it?
  24. These are indicators of a blown h/gasket Car overheating? Oil in your coolant? Coolant in your oil? This will give an indication of whether your compression rings are doing the job or not Is it blowing the dip stick out when revved (compression in the sump)? Like always without seeing the car it's a hit and miss diagnosis. But with your compression test results odds are it's time for a freshen up. I assume you've removed the coil pack and plug then cranked the car visually inspecting the spark or lack of?
