im thinking a custom is the way to go. and just wondering besides durablity does S/steel have any other benifits over mild?? and what kind of durabilty diff is there??
-

ok heres the deal i beleive the car im getting from Japan has an aftermarket exhaust system but i want to get a new one for it when its here in Aus. I know there are tonnes of threads on this shit, but its mostly diff questions... I think Q1:Im tossing up whether its worth going an Aftermarket Exhaust system or go to ET(or other SA exhaust specialists) and get a custom done? i know customs are cheaper, but performance and sound wise what are these like? Q2: Does having an extra 50mm in length from the 4 doors, cause any trouble with aftermarket exhausts fitting wise? Q3: I am wanting to have about 150 to 170rwkw as a goal, what is recomended to get done to the exhaust system, how much should i spend on exhaust system instead of other performance parts?? I think there is other stuff but ill put it up later.

yeh just another quick Q, i was looking at a list of mods recomended by Dr Drift(from ns.com maybe on here aswell) and he rekons to go exhaust and fuel pump (bosch 040) first, and then intercooler after those 2. just wondering about the fuel pump, he recomended about 400 dollars new, i have seen a few used for round 200, i beleive these pumps also need mounts. and my question is if these pumps dont come with mounts or anything but the pump, what other costs are involved, mounts etc? and will i need to get it put in or can it be done by someone of average maechanical skill.

yeh i wasnt sure if the m-spec came with a different front bar. thanks, anyone else know for sure?

i mean like u get a run down of condition of the vehicle and stuff, and they organise and consult with the supplier which in turn organises it. why do people have to be such d*cks on forums. if u were like this in the real world ud be laying on the pavement with a foot in ur ribs. owell be a pathetic little chum. -

because people in Japan have actually seen the car, not like blindly buying off some site and hoping it isnt a scam. And by piece of mind i also mean they take care of all the work for u, shipping etc. and seriously have u been through the process u twat?? if u have then u should know that they take care of shipping, payment and they give a slight inspection of the car in Japan, not just send a few emails. -
can someone tell me what front bar that is on my skyline?? it doesnt look like a regular gts-t front bar, neither a GTR or after market bar??
-
cheers for the advice guys roughly how much for GTR bonnet?

prestige motorsport and import101(and others probs) have still got cars eligible for import under the 15 year rule. better hurry thou cos once these few run out thats it. EDIT: the service fee for these 2 is around 1000 dollars which isnt anything for peace of mind and having it all done for u. -
yeh thanks, i think i might be covered on the compliance, i have got a quote for around 700 with RWC at a shop. sorry but some of the Qs have already been covered in the NS.com thread. yeh do u know what size stockies are, 16's?? might get them powdered, or just find some real cheap 17 5spoke alloys and powder them.

Hey guys and girls, i have just bought a car and need some help on mods and compliance. The car is a 1989 Nissan Skyline R32 GTS-t 4door. These are of the car right now in Japan This is a quick chop i what i would like it to look like the mods done in the chop are Removed Rear Spoiler: whats involved in doing this, cost? Rims: looking at 5 spoke around 17inch, which are either white or can be painted white. whats involved in painting rims? is it something is shud do or shud i get pro, powder-coat etc etc??? Suspension: i would be looking to lower the car 40mm at the front and 50mm at the rear(going by pictures, will have better look when the car gets here), whats a good cheap option? looking for increased handling aswell as look. Bonnet trim: i have looked at cutting the little lip on the bonnet that hangs down between the lights. it would then be filled with black mesh. method?? as for Compliance: is it worth doin it myself, whats the cost difference on average? thanks.

just having a look at the two as possibilities to buy. Just wondering what the difference between the stock performance of the two is? how much money would it take to get the dr30 to the same performance level as the 32, handling, power? cost differences between maintaining and etc? and a last thing, id like to probably get a conversion to a silver rb20det if i got one, how effective, reliable is this? what must be replaced along with the engine? anything else wud be appreciated. cheers.
