Hi all.. Well I'm off travelling for a while in a month's time and thought rather than store the beast for that time I'd better find him a new home with an owner who will love him as much as I do. As the title says, I'm in Perth. Price is $22,500 for the lot (negotiable) and you can contact me at [email protected] This is a good condition R33 with minor mods and a bomber stereo. Details of the car are as follows: 1995 R33 GTST Skyline White Tommy Kiara Front Bar Works Rims Drift wing with optional bolt on mega spoiler Front mount intercooler K&N Pod Full exhaust with Dump and Highflow Cat HKS EVC IV boost controller with dual boost settings Apexi AFC Apexi ITC Pivot turbo timer Alpine CD Tuner Neo MP3 Player with 40Gb HDD (from ssi america) 2 x 12" Orion Subs MTX Black Gold splits Alpine amp - for the splits Crossfire amp - for the subs Power - 260rwhp at 0.8 bar Pic..
-
his 660ft speed is bout 10km/h faster than my terminal speed!
-
l3thal - what operating system and player do you use with your xbox? I've been using mine at home for movies and mp3's with much success and it seems a good unit for the car - though a little bulky and possibly prone to damage from vibration?
-
my unit - http://www.ssiamerica.com/products/neo35/ I bought it about a year ago for just under 1k.. mine is the 40G model... It has no amp built in so you have to run at least one or find a head unit that accepts an auxillary input.. don't try to use the fm modulator as it is crap.

Hmm - while he was a bit silly for not getting the DPI to state in writing that he was allowed to get his license back, there are govt f*k ups that work in our favour. Unfortunately for him it did a backflip and caught him.. Dan/Rob - you guys are probably right in some respects, but are also being pretty harsh in others.. we've all done stupid things when we were younger, I think there's alot of luck involved.. It's the old - "I got away with it, know I was lucky & know not to do it again" syndrome.. hindsight is a wonderful thing.. and Rob - someone like you or me or Dan could probably have about 5 std drinks and not blow more than 0.02, but a 17/18 year old without as much around the middle as us would be a different story.. I think Joe has come up with the best way of attacking this. Write to the Ombudsman for unfair/inconsistent treatment by the Police/DPI and get a good Lawyer. I'm sure they're just trying to throw the book at him, but once the real circumstances are found out by a Judge things may look a bit more favourable for him.. That said - he still has another 7 months to serve on the suspended license - if he gets away with just having to do that and nothing else he should count himself lucky, not be pissed off at the system that made a paperwork muckup that he took advantage of.. My 2 cents anyways for what it's worth..
-
Rob - pull your head in... if you've got a problem with someone mention it to the mods or pm the person in question.... why read the thread by someone you're sick of anyhow? sorry for the off topic but someone had to say it.. back on topic - if you want that much power man, you gotta go an ecu.. an safc just won't cut it.. also remember that the ecu is only as good as the tuner - so get something that is widely supported and that is supported well.. both the power fc and wolf have good support in Perth..
-
in the pocket behind the seats... but the best way is to buy a 40G MP3 player and you won't need to carry cd's ever again.. 7500 songs so far and 10G left! Yea baby!
-
Do you have an atmo BOV? If so - that'll cause fuel to be dumped in when it vents and it'll come straight out the exhaust causing the backfire...
-
Summoner - I think he'd be giving the whole car to the insurance company and getting a cheque back by the sounds of it...
-
Dan - shit man.. what happened? As Ras said - get your ass to a doc and get yourself checked out..
-
No issues with balancing - it's a stocker.. A light flywheel by design will make the car rev harder and faster, but will also loose momentum easier than a stocker if not taken into account when launching and during normal driving.. Anyways - a high 13 should easily be within reach with some or all of the mods listed..
-
Lightened flywheel is one way to go - but can make the car harder to drive and hard to launch properly.. another way is a full turbo back exhaust, pod and a bit more timing.. that and perhaps a bleed valve for a bit more boost should see you with a late 13 easy....
-
Looking at the photos I first though "wonder why they wrote that one off?".. but then after looking at the rear wheel in the last photo I think I know why... as for that guy's comments.. don't stress.. only 1 wanker out of the lot ain't a bad ratio...
-
Liz - fantastic news mate.. all good... Where did they store it while it was in repo?
-
Congrats on the run, good to hear the gearbox lasted.. also good work by the photographer Matt Poon - that last shot is excellent..
-
handbrake..
-
Devil - the difference between using the handbrake to hold the car and the clutch is that the clutch is wearing the whole time you're balancing it.. I think thats what you meant to ask? Boost - love the generalisations.. works well enough for law enforcement.. there I go again... Back on topic - Silwa has a pretty good thread on this going with some input from a few cops on the list.. well worth the read for different opinions...
-
Devil.. not having a go - but you comments show that of an unexperienced driver... 1. You'll burn the clutch out in a week without the handbrake.. 2. You wouldn't keep track of whats behind you, hence becoming a victim of "truck couldn't stop behind me and ran me over" syndrome sooner or later... Most of it is relevant - it's just that people get lazy and complacent and get away with it... Which is what should really be targeted along with people driving flat out like an idiot in crowded places..
-
Boost - excellent! I've got one already! Seriously though, the power/weight ratio thing sounds great in principle and I completely agree - BUT - how do you enforce it? The only way to check would be to do dyno runs on each car to see if they have been changed from standard... I think the easiest way would be to go on engine capacity and induction.. but again - unfortunately not as satisfying to the Today Tonight public as confiscating cars... Damn I'm getting cynical.. product of a nanny law state perhaps?
-
I still wanna build my own city complete with a drift track..
-
Typical Perth lawmakers knee jerk reaction designed to put fear into all drivers - much like their crappy advertising campaigns about drink driving and fatigue and the rest of the nanny s-hite that we should know not to do anyway... It'll never get off the ground - if they can't even confiscate property from drug dealers properly I find it hard to believe they'll be able to confiscate cars from people who break road rules... Nanny state? Definitely.. I think I'll go find a nice place in the country away from these politically motivated idiots and build my own city... complete with a drift track of course! Who is with me?!?
-
Manual - check out insurance before you get too excited about the car man - it may be a deciding factor for you...
