Just Engine Management (JEM) UNIT 3, 10 HELLES AVE MOOREBANK, NSW 2170 (02) 9600-6567 http://www.justenginemanagement.com/ -
Ok guys, I have been doing some extensive research on fuel pump upgrades and trying to compare all the options for an RB25DET aiming 250 - 270rw/kw. I have seen many mixed comments on most of the major brands and thought to make a decent thread strictly on fuel pumps. This hopefully will help others too. 1. Please Poll your preference. 2. Please list your engine and specs (inc Fuel Pump) as well as power output. 3. Please comment on your personal experiences with various fuel pumps including: - Ease of installation - Noise level in cabin - Starting issues - 1/4 tank syndrome Regards, Sarkis

will do... ill write up a thread with Dyno and all info once i have completed the work and tune... Cheers -
Hmmm could be injector related... id run a decent injector cleaner with a good batch of Shell V-Racing and down shift to 2nd while doing 60km/h going down a steep hill and let it roll while revs are up... that will open up ur injectors and clean out most crap... cause injector issues usually happen when they cold and sort them selfs out as the car warms up... happened exactly same to my SSS Let us know how you go... Good luck Regards, Sarkis

Thanks for the advise Ronin ill keep it in mind, although for $50 or so, a Radiator repair shop will spray it with their thermal paint and will also aid in cooling... Cheers -

Yea i was considering a GTR cooler.. but for the total cost of cooler + custom piping + fitting, might as well get a TRUST FMIC kit ($795) and get it sprayed black... Cheers -

Hahaha always the odd one out ay Paul? :laughing-smiley-014: By painting it black, it will make it LESS obvious to spot and not to mention when driving at night will be virtually invisable... Cheers -

QRI05E replied to QRI05E's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
yea on the stock turbo the R34 SMIC was the best investment... read my thread on the R34 SMIC upgrade... http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=142510 Yes, now that im chasing more power ie. highflow turbo, injectors, fuel pump, ECU... a FMIC will be required for the 18 - 20psi boost level... im aiming for 250+rw/kw If 200rw/kw is your aim, then the R34 SMIC upgrade is the best option! Well i service my car every 5000km with Royal Purple 10W40 and ALWAYS warm up my car before i drive and ALWAYS cool it of for 3 min before i turn it off.. so these precautions should maximise turbo life... I want to stick to BB highflow cause of quality, longer life as well as proven earlier spool which is what makes it more streetable... im still waiting on Trooper to PM me the specs and price for this new bolt-on Turbo from Garrett... One more thing guys, you think its work upgrading the stock manifold and cams?? how much increase would they give with a decent high flow? Cheers -

Yep they sure do Dave, and even less for exchanging your turbo.... thats why they have best bolt-on turbo package you will ever find, however for those who are wanting a BB highflow, GCG was thought to be the only decent place to get it done... Now i have Precision Turbocharges and have an excellent reputation with all the top performance shops in the area as well as offering a better price than GCG... all of V&E Rigoli's cars are using their turbos... Cheers
