I checked and made sure the AC compressor is working, and never had this problem in the past few summers up untill i got it re-gassed a while ago due to changing my AC Condensor (brand new)... so i dont think its got anything to do with the AC pipes being too close to the turbo. I'll take it down to an Auto AC place near my area and will keep you guys posted. I think just needs a decent re-gassing Cheers

Hey guys, as all you sydney boys and girls know, today was friggin hot! on my way home from uni i turned my AC on and even when set at 18 deg, windows up (dark 15% tint) i was getting warm air coming out of the vents (approx 25 deg)... i tried using the recycle mode, i tried all fan speeds and no difference... The AC is working for sure but isnt nearly as cold as it used to be... i got it re-gassed about 1 1/2 yrs ago and ever since then the cold temp hasnt been the same from the AC... crap gas? Any suggestions? Any recomended types of gas to use? anywhere in Syd that does it? Pricing? Thanks Fellas! Regards, Sarkis

hmmm possibly, how ever im running 8psi only and full exhaust... even on the dyno my car didnt make one puff of black smoke so i dun think its running rich... AFR was 10:1 from memory... But you guys are right... its quite expensive Unleaded: $1.10 per L Optimax: $1.21 per L Extreme: $1.36 per L Cheers

Josh i think ur source of ticking might actually be the thrust bearing on your clutch... quite common in skylines...

Hey Guys, I just filled a tank of Shell Optimax Extreme in my SII R33 and i only got a full exhaust... without even resetting the stock ECU i felt my car run 10 times better then BP ultimate and regular optimax.. not a single cough or stutter as others have stated... idle and acceleration feel much smoother... Sounds like lifters to me... what oil viscosity you using? mine does the same... a real light gentle "tick tick tick tick" on idle when cold and so do MANY other RB motors.. its heard right near the rocker cover... its normal Cheers

I have always known the RB20's needing quite a bit of work to push them over the 200rw/kw... Thats an excellent figure for such little mods... would love to see the dyno print out with AFR... how does the power curve look? Cheers

I got a silver R33 and the engine bay looks more silver then that even in photos... even compare the contrast of the crossover and plenum, the darker areas of the engine bay look white... but u may be right...

If this is a silver R33... why is the engine bay white?

yea unfortunatly there is no dyno sheet, might be able to convince him to get a dyno run hehe... would be a good idea... comparing to my car, i can approximate 100fw/kw... ill keep you guys posted if he gets a dyno run... Im pretty sure he has slightly larger front disc's at the front and the stock drums on the back with bendix sports pads and rear shoes... it pulls up quite well acctually... Cheers

You maybe right in a few points there GTST, but i have spoken to a few tuners and am going by what they say. All those kw figures dont really mean anything, there all estimates and will vary from one car to the next... its like saying all R33 gtst's will push 150rw/kw stock which is not true (they will vary)... thats why i wrote up how i have witnessed this car perform... I can truly say it is a quick machine and very impressive... Its unfair for you to point the dirty end of the stick at me and state my words are "constant lies" especially if a few minor details maybe misunderstood by myself, they can be rectified by a simple PM with the right facts... I would appreciate that in the future.. I appreciate your honesty and info, but all up this is an amazing car and is in absolute "micky mouse" condition... First to see/drive will buy 100% However... I have seen the dyno sheet of a Toyota Sprinter with the EXACT same settup as this corolla and it produced 102rw/kw and ran a 14.2 on slicks at WSID This conversion was done professionally... and utilized the original ECU, Loom, CV shafts, Gearbox, altenator, starter, radiator.. etc The price is negotiable guys! so feel free to make an offer... Honestly Nick i have been in this thing when we nailed a stock 2001 Type R off the lighs on Elizabeth Dr in Cecil hills... 1st was pretty close... pulled 1/2 car infront of him in 2nd and backed off half way through 3rd... we were already bout 3/4 car infront... My mate doesn't even bother running SSS Pulsar's... lol You gotta drive it to believe it... Cheers
