i have an rb20 with a td05/06 mine was originaly internal gated all u need to do is weld it up.. thats what i did and put the external gate on.. but yeah mine doesnt come on full boost till 4000 rpm as well..

oh ok that makes sence.. yeah it is genuine, i got into contact with turbo smart coz i thought by looks of it the bolt was some sort of ajustment. but they told me it was for balencing.. that would be great but for some reason i think my standard injectors would be quiet maxed out.. haha

hey if any1 is interested next thursday at the newish village cinemas in karingl (off frankston-cranburne rd) autobarn frankston is holding sorta like a car show in the carpark from 1pm - 9 pm there will be about 30 cars on desplay so if any1 want to come down n check it out feel free... we are all going to c the movie at the 9pm session then there will most likely be some sort of cruise afterwards..

there is a pic of the wastegate.. the screw is on top as u can see.. but i found out that apparently it is a balancing bolt or something and it already has the biggest spring in it. so i will just run a bleed valve.. the gate is not ajustable.. still waiting on the info for the turbo apparently it hase a 20g exhaust housing..?? means nothing to me.

There was some markings inside the exhaust housing but i cant really remember what they were. I was told that ADVAN sell the turbo new so i emailed them and i am waiting for a reply. and that JMS had one for sale a while ago and they advertised it with a rating of 470hp. here are some pics before i put it on.. i will keep trying to get info. do u's want me to get the numbers that are engraved on the front comp cover?

before i got it tuned it came on full boost at about 4200 now it cames on at about 3900 - 4000, a little laggy but oh so fun when it comes in.. haha. i am still waiting to find out what the specs of the turbo is and i am taking it back next week to boost it up to 17psi.

nah i dont i emailed the guy i bought it off so hopefully i will get the info soon. and i still want to boost it up to 17 psi. my tuner said he would re do it for free when i up the boost. he said i have a lil left in the injectors and 17 psi will be close to what they will handle

hey every1 i have finnaly got my car tuned today!!!! when i took it in, the air/fuel was on 19!!! so i am lucky i didnt melt the thing!!! any way here are the mods: 240 000 km Front mount 3' exhaust malpassi (r31nizmoid: "bandaid") standard internals standard injectors trust tdo5/06 turbosmart 45mm pro gate screamer bosch 040 pump safc ( the first 1 with the nobs) thats about it off the top of my head on only 15psi it made: 198.7 RWKW 707.7 N.M i will try and get a graph tomorrow that shows the air/fuel but when i looked at it it was perfectly straight on 12 wich is good. i wanted to run 17 psi but the wastegate was screwed in as far as it goes... i dunno if its the turbo or weather i need a stronger spring or the car just cant produce enough exhaust gasses.. i will put a bleader on the air line to the wastegate to c what happens.. all up so far this car only owes me $10000 so i am very happy with the result.. please tell me your thoughts.

nah u dont leave the stock one there. look in the first pick i put up.. i got a dodgy second hand reg from a wreckers for like $20 and cut the top of it off then welded a small pipe on the top of the plate to connect the fuel line too... if you keep the stadard fuel reg on it will hold the same pressure and all the aftermaket reg will do is raise the pressure in the fuel line back to the standard reg... so it makes it pointless.... my malpassi didnt come with a guage either so i just bought a $25 one from auto barn which screws straight into the side of the reg.

if you dont get a reg that bolts into the end of the rail like a malpassi, sard, etc. u will need to make up an adaptor to replace the old reg: like in this pic of mine then if u have a malpassi (like mine) u run the the fuel line fom the adaptor into the side of the reg. then the line goes from the bottom of the reg back to the fuel tank. the fuel line that does not have the fuel filter on it is the return line to the tank. standard fuel pressure is 38psi on idle.. hope thats what u were after. for some reasons the picks aint workin"???

haha yeah that was me... i remember.... u have a big bresciani sticker on da back window... hahaha i have no ploblem having to fabricate a new adaptor where the old fuel reg is, i can do that at work... the issue i have here is if what i showed in the pick is another fuel reg. and what i have to do to get around it (if i need to get around it)... thanks leigh

ok, i have: - trust TDO5/O6 round 450-470 hp?? unsure - turbosmart 45mm pro external gate - cooler - safc - bosch 040 - 3 1/4 inch exhaust from turbo with no cat. - think thats bout it i have done all the work my self from bolting the turbo on and making the cooler pipes, etc. the car is running fairly lean atm.. and as i dont have enough $$$ for larger injectors or management. i am going for the cheaper alternative of a fuel reg and tuning it with the safc and reg, and maybe backing off the timing if need be, but doubt it.. i have already purchased the reg so i might as well put it on. if u have any other sugggestions please give... i just want the car to be safe. me and a mate will be dyno tuning it once we have the malpassi on. i have seen in the rb20 turbo upgrade results that a few people have regs so any help would be good. i wanna get this on the dyno!!!! thanks leigh.

pfffft.... yes i do need one!!! here are some picks that sorta show where the second one is..... u can c it if you follow the fuel rale towards the rear of the car. i circled where it is. under the plenum.

hey all, just went to put a malpassi on my 32 with an rb20 but noticed there is, or appears to be 2 fuel regs. 1 in the normal place like on 33s etc. but another on the other end of the fuel rale... is that another reg? if so how do i go about getting around it and putting the malpassi on? i am sure there are a few that have done this before. .. also does any1 know what the standard fuel pressure us? thanks 4 the help. leigh. i can post pics if needed.
