yeah the guys good. I wasnt to fussed about the warranty either. my uncle said that if you get the car checked and there are no major probs it probably wont have anything go wrong in the first year wnyway. ill ust get it checked by niscare and then take it from there. it the alarm and the central locking unit as well. something like keyless entry

i sent him an email this morning and he said it doesnt come with a warranty because the car is over 10 years old and isnt covered under statutory warranty. He said he can offer me extened warranty for a price though. How important is the warranty? he said he is willing to drop the car off at the testing place to get it inspected.

thanks again for all the help.. i found a place down the road from where the car is that is able to test the car and is not to far from the car yard virtually down the road. its called NISCARE on sydney road fawkner it is recommended by VACC. the guy is really good and so is the car exactly what i want. The only reason im looking at car yards is i have a car that i cant sell and he has been the only place thats got a car i like at the right price and is willing to give me a trade in.

ok i went to look at the car. and now im even more undecided.. it doesnt come with a cd player or speaker. does come with original skyline mats exhaust and rims. He wouldnt let me drive it but he took me for a drive and it was awesome. well it doesnt come with a warranty he said it will cost more for a warranty. i asked about getting it racv tested and he said he doesnt take the car any where and that they would have to come to him. and oviously RACV dont come out to check these cars. do you guys know of anyone that can go out and check it for me. is there any other way of getting it compression tested.

I have been reading up on the alarms and there is a guy in sydney who fits one in with a TT and it isnt to badly priced i think $500 supplied and fitted. Do you know if they do something like that here in melb

Hello i have found my car its a white 95 mspec. it has a sunroof, exhaust and rims everthing else is stock. Im going down tonight to have another look and to talk to the guy about finalising things. Im gonna get it RACV tested soon. My questions are is HICAS a major problem or is it ok cause he said he can lock it for me if i want. i got quoted for a 2 imobilliser cyclopse alarm $530.00. thats from tower audio. do you guys know anyother places in melb prefarably west that can do a good job. any help would be appreciated. First time skyline buyer.

hey everyone I went to a place in fawkner called Japcar they had a car i like. The guy was help ful but me been a first skyline buyer i didnt know what to look for. i had a look at a White 95 R33 series 1 with 80k it was stock but he said he oput it back to stock to register it. He said he can leave it stock for me or add rims and exhaust for no extra cost. I also have a car that i cant sell so i asked him for a trade in. He would give me $6k for a 99 Magna with 160k on the clock. he gave me a price on the car. So his overall price on the car was $16,650 that includes all on road costs. thats not including the trade in. its only the first place i have been to i called Power road and they dont take trade ins. What do you guys think i might try the Holford motors they seem to have ok cars. what do you guys think. has anyone else bought from japcar.. sorry for the long post and reviving an old tread

Thanks for your help. Tried calling for the silver one and there was no response the phone is always engaged. I even tried sending an email enquiry no responce. I might give up on the siler. I have found a white 95 series one that is stock nothing besides a filter for $14350. with 93000 on the clock i might have a look at it.

Hello Everyone im looking at buying a skyline in the next few months. There are a few more but i wont clog up the system.

i thought that that included compliancing and everything. No wonder he dropped the price straight away it was $15,990 he then dropped it to $14,990. Ok i learning so the total price would be $17,990. Now i understand so that how you get the better deal privately.

When i went to Sei they had a 94 GTS-T with mags, sway bar, exhaust for $15900.00. It wasnt complinced yet but i could only see one scratch on the car and that was on the front bar. Everything else was stock. There was no CD player but it did have a turbo timer. and some speakers the parcel shelf was crap though. He said if i was a serious buyer he could drop the price even more. He also showed me all the things that need to be changed for it to be complinced. it has 77000 on the clock. I have also seen a few private ones for $14000.00 it had the same mods but it had 112000k on the clock. it was also a 94 black GTS-T. Another was silver with similar mods for $13800.00. but it had a series 2 front. Do they all come with four wheel steer or is that an option. most of the private one say four wheel steer. The reason i ask is because i have heard there are a few probs with the four wheel steer. thanks again

Hey Guys Im new to the forums. I am think about buying a R33 skyline GTS-T. THe delema im currently having is wether to buy from a dealer or private. I went on the weekend and had a look at a few dealers the best been SEI motors in Dandenong. They had a good selection and i found one i liked and a good price as well. I just wanted to know what was the best way to go. Im trying to way up my options and at the moment it sounds like the dealer is the best way to go because of the warranty. thanks for your help Wes
