Hey folks, I just put a rb25 box in my 4door 32, its the old hpi drift project car...Box works fine but now the clutch seems to slip near the top of the revs! Its a os giken twin plate, is it just coincidence that its gave up the ghost the same time as the box? I got a small oil leak at the bottom of the box, could this be leaking on the flywheel? Anyone had this problem? Any help is appriciated!!!

O.k got my mate who is a mechanic to check over everything i fixed, He adjusted the pedal play and its all good! so stoked thats all it was, car is on the road again! Thanks for all your input guys it helped heaps and best of all it only cost me $20 for new pedal box off my mates wrecked r33....sweet. Later Joey.

Was like a metal popping sound....Ok, yes i broke the pedal box! It was cracked on the fire wall side and also the bracked on the side where it is welded had broke off also... Have replaced it with a r33 item! Started the car thinking all would b good then no deal! Car still wont go into any gear...thinking it must be the bearing???? I guess its time for a real mechanic......

Yeah there is a bit of sideways movement also.....Hopefully get it welded then! Thanks mate, nice car btw!

Yep i think its the pedal box! The metal frame that the pedal goes through has a crack in it and there is another piece that doesnt look right, kinda looks like it should be connected to something? My mate has a wrecked r33 anyone know if it would be the same as my 32 pedal box? If so might steal the part off him! It looks like a rectangle frame that sits on the fire wall... Not sure how to rip it out though? Just contorting my body into that possition under the dash gave me a cramp in my arm....not a fun place to hang out for too long! Thanks for the pedal box call! no clutch slip on the way home! never had a problem with the clutch slipping, just the funny whirring noise when foots on the clutch pedal! Im guessing its the bearing gone or pressure plate or both....dont want to fork out for a new os giken twin plate as im scared to look at the price of those....I think thats whats in the car at the moment. shit.

Any ideas on how to fix that shit? Would rather try do it myself if at all possible.....Otherwise i gotta tow truck it to the mechanic i guess? that means $$$$ Dang.

hey folks, Was out last night cruising and i kicked the clutch in third gear and heard a loud bang noise! Had to limp the car home by just jamming it into 1st then third gear...I think its the thrust bearing as the car was making a funny noise when i had my foot on the clutch? Kinda like a metal on metal rattling noise? The clutch pedal is still stuck to the floor! Its an r32 89 model... Any ideas on what the problem could be?

Hey mate, I just blew up a kkr480! On 20 psi, Now running a 560 and its overboosting also. Its hitting 23-24 pounds which is ridiculous! Not sure what to do either? Needs a re tune, im using a blitz electronic boost controller and when i turn it down it still goes way past the set 20 psi... It sucks! Good luck keep me posted on what you do...very interesting! Hey mate, I put on the kkr 560 as Ben hooked me up a pretty sweet price! It is running well now with loads of top end, also re-cored the intercooler...Just need to get the car tuned now to suit the new turbo set up! It seems the new turbo is overboosting a little bit, I used the wastegate of the old turbo so was hoping it would hold 20 psi the same as the old one? But it keeps creeping up to say 22-23-24 psi which is a bit of a worry depending on which gear its in...Hope to get it sorted soon! Hey crew, Just blew the turbo on my car, its the old hpi r32 4door drift car. Most of you would know the car? It was running a kkr 480, what would be a good upgrade similar to this size turbo? it was running 250kw at the moment on 20psi... rb24 stroker motor. Also wondering if I will have to open up the motor or not as I poured alot of metal out of the cooler and pipes! Any ideas would be great! Thanks Joey.

Very smooth ride firm without being to harsh, I got coilovers and found the shock and spring where alot smoother and less choppy ride. A good cheap upgrade over stock and sits alot lower as well! Cheers.
