  1. They're rapidly pulling them out around here as well. The ones you can see in the pic will be gone soon. More money in real estate than wine nowdays.
  2. Presuming your also in the Barossa then?
  3. Thanks Trick, Whiteline gear from SAU group buy should turn up this week. Adjustable bits and pieces hopefully will tame the beast. Looking for someone to fit bushes, alignment, etc. Any susp. places in the Northern burbs who knows GT-R's? Pain in the arse having to get rego permits from Gawler everytime I need something done. Drive down from the Barossa and return just to get permits is a shitting me. I know it'll be worth it in the long run. Cheers
  4. The car was a private sale. Looks can be deceiving. It's a 100,000+ km plus car with a paint job. Interior is not too bad, drivers seat bolsters are trashed. It's got some rust as well. It was an R grade auction car, interior is only C grade. I knew all of this before purchase and the seller didn't try and hide anything. Makes a pleasant change from some stuff I'd looked at. But it's a GT-R And it's now parked in my garage Cheers
  5. I was actually looking at an R31 Coupe to start off wth, yours looks bloody nice. It was a simple decision in the end. I really like R31's, but I've ALWAYS wanted a GT-R. That, as well as the fact it was a pretty good deal I got on the GT-R was enough to sway me. Thanks to everyone for their support and help. Hopefully I'll be on the road soon. Cheers
  6. Thanks to all. Took it out for a spin again yesterday, before the temp. rego permit ran out. Something very weird going on, tramlines like a bitch with the 18' and jap spec susp (rock hard), then the back to kicks out. Very exciting at 80kmh + Back wants to steer car. Assuming it's a combo of the above and radius bushes on front being shagged. Planning on doing these as well as the rear subframe bushes. Does the HICAS not like big ass wheels and super stiff susp? Not something that happened on test drives (of course), but was always it bit flighty on our fabulous SA roads system due to susp. Any advice welcomed on this one Cheers
  7. Thanks fellas Yep, GTS went as part of the deal. PM with the interested parties details and I'll pass them on Guy Cheers
  8. Hello to all, After much talk I finally bought myself a turbo, well 2 actually! Bought our new baby home yesterday. It's a baby for sure, because it's going to cost me a small fortune (repairs and parts for compliance) before I even get to play with it (just like a baby). It'll probably crap itself while I'm holding it (just like a baby). Fluids all over the floor, do the wrong thing as it gets older, tantrums, etc (just like a baby) But its mine and I LOVE IT (just like a baby) Cheers
  9. Cheers Doom, May not need them, I'll get back to you. Thanks for the offer. Car is not ready for Regency yet, bit of work to do before then. Cheers
  10. Also need to source standard blow off valves. Anyone feeling generous enough to loan me theirs?
  11. Spoke to someone pretty close to the organisers today. He says 100% not happening. Shame, as its always good value. Cheers
  12. Congrats on getting the car through. Sad to hear the cost of everything, especially as I'm about to to the same thing. Enjoy
  13. Hi, are the R-32 GT-R (non Brembo) rear disc still available for $195 each? Not sure if this is still current. Cheers
  14. When did your car go through? Any rules changed since then?
  15. Thanks to all, Inspection this week. Boostworx Cheers
  16. Thanks for that James. Compliance is second in line. I need to have the car looked over mechanically and structally before I purchase. Emailed Boostworx and Willall about checking car out. Still haven't heard back as yet. Any other workshops with GT-R knowledge worth trying? Cheers Geoff
  17. A big thanks and apologies in one. Sept 1898. Faark No wonder the interiors a bit rough Cheers
  18. Thanks for that info, much appreciated. I'll keep you up to date with whats going on. I might take you up on the offer of wheels. Cheers Geoff
  19. Thanks again. I'll give Mark a call. It's not that loud but I'm sure that it would still be over. I really need someone with knowledge off GT-R's to check it out. The car is not what you call spotless so I want to make sure it mechanically OK before I do anything anyway. Boostworx seem to have pretty good reputation, what are they like with GT-R's? Don't suppose you want to swap wheels for a while? It's also got a non-standard front bar - problem?
  20. Hello, Just wondering if someone can run this Vin No. through FAST for me? 6U9000BNR32001547 Looking at this car at the moment. Already in Aus, full import approval but not complied. Anyone have info on SA compliance requirement for "15 Year" cars? Cheers Geoff
  21. The car was bought on the "15 Year" rule. Not sure what bearing this has on compliance rules in SA. Anyone got a direct link to the relevant SA gov. dept? More info needed guys. Cheers
  22. Thanks for that. Do you know if the wheels have to be standard or just standard size? I will have to probably source the exhaust as well, what have you done with yours. I think you have a similar thread running as well. Cheers
  23. Hi everyone, Looking at purchasing a '89 GT-R (R-32) that has not been complied yet. It has HKS BOV's and a cat back exhaust as well as 18 inch wheels. These I'm presuming will all need to be changed for compliance? Seatbelts as well? Any suggestions on who's best in Adelaide for compliance? Good workshop to check car over. Compression test, etc as well as checking underside of car. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Cheers
  24. Thats bloody nice. And yes the owners books do mean something. Good luck with sale. Slightly out of my reach
  25. No, next car will be turbo. Possibly 2 of them, turbos that is. Doesn't make financial sense to turbo one of these. Cheers
