  1. I am about to sell my pride and joy in that of my R32 GTS-T. I am located in Castle Hill area of Sydney. The car is Black, 1993 Model, great paint job with 18 inch chrome wheels. The mods include : Bosch Fuel Pump, Coil Packs, Cold Air Intake, Turbo Smart Blow Off Valve, Injectors, 3 and a half inch exhaust system and dump pipe as well as a Apexi FC Boost controller system. The stereo is a Sony Explode Head Unit and Equalizer system. I have owned the car now for over a year and I have only done 2000 kms in it as it is always garaged and I have a brand new work car which Is what I choose to drive in. The car only has 79,000 original kms and the car is extremely reliable and always maintained to the best degree. The price I want for it is $14,500 however this is negotiable. It also comes with 12 months of Rego. Serious Buyers Only. Call me on 0439 888 299 for more information - Kieran
  2. Yeah I have a AVCR on my 32. It has done that with me before. I recommend lowering the duty until say 3rd gear up as it does help. I got the same jolt feeling you described just yesterday. I would in your situation record your current boost duties, lower it to a minimum and then go back to what you want the boost to be.
  3. Thanks for all your help everyone. I'm just going to drive the bloody thing and have a mind set that the oil pressure gauge is faulty. If it goes boom I will just chuck a RB25 in it anyway as I planned on doing next year anyway.
  4. Hi All, I thought i would come to the experts. My RB20 is coming along nicely with a APEXI AVC-R boost controller, fuel pump, coil packs, air induction and full exhaust system and I love the results. On the weekend however I put on a new BOV and I noticed my oil pressure idleing is just above the zero and when boosting wont go above 2 (which is a quarter of the maximum 8). Why is this and would it be due to the BOV? Also how can this be tested or fixed. I appreciate any help as I have not come across this before.
  5. Hi All, I recently upgraded my RB20 with coil packs, fuel pump, full exhaust system and then just put on a AVC-R boost controller. I sent the duty at 30% as my friend did to his subaru and it runs at like 16 pound on the stock turbo? I think this is too much am I right? Sometimes the car feels fine but then other times like it is a little sick and all elements are not running in correspondance? Any suggestions on this at all or thoughts?
  6. Hi All, I just added a few mods to my RB20 which includes Fuel Rail, Fuel Pump, Dump Pipe, HFC, 3 inch exhaust, Apexi AVC-R Boost Controller, Air intake and Coil Overs (Best upgrade ever). Anyway, I was told that a upgrade to my Air Flow Metre can be really worth while and people use other nissans to do this. Any thoughts on this at all I would love to know more about it and if the results are worthwhile. I appreciate it.
  7. Ha Ha, we are all very passionate about our cars it seems. I'll be at wakefield as well and hope to see most of you there. There was a mention of traction however the GTS-4 is available as well. Good to hear the fors and againsts.
  8. Hi, I have a R32 GTS-T. Mods include full exhaust system, boost controller, coil packs, air intake and soon to be fmic and apexi fc. Just a question? Is it possible to get this baby to smoke your average R33 or R34 and even stand in the shadow of a GTR? I've been told they have no bottom end but there must be a way to fix this? Any points of view out there. I just think that If I spend another $10000 or so on carbon bonnet, coil overs, bearing turbo, fmic and other items without knowing what its worth. Thanks
  9. I didn't know GTS-Ts have resistors I thought this was a GTR Thing?
  10. Hi, SAU forum readers, just 2 questions? I have a R32 GTS-T 93 model and was told today that it has 4 wheel steering once it gets to a certain speed. Well I was told all do. Is this true? Also coil packs? Are they worth investing in for more power and are they worth it for good ones? I'm not even sure how they fully work? Any help is appreciated
  11. Hey Everyone, Thanks for your help. So I guess it's a re-map for my friend. Much appreciated
  12. Hi Everyone, My friend has a R33 with a 3inch exhaust and runs 12 pound on it. He hollowed out his cat and installed a dump pipe on the weekend. Said it pulls heaps harder but at 4000-5000 it seems to hold and then kicks in again. Anyone think they know why and have any suggestions to avoid this. He has no electronic boost controller or FMIC either. any help would be appreciated.
  13. Hi, This has been bothering me. I have a R32 GTS-T with standard turbo but fuel pump, dual boost controller etc, When I'm driving and boosting the car is making a noise like leaking boost and has a spooling noise with no extra power being delivered. I have the standard BOV and thought this might be where it is leaking? Any suggestions or anyone who has had this?
  14. Hi everyone, I just hit 85,000 on my R32 GTS-T. I was wondering when the standard timing belt needs to be changed?
  15. Dear Matt, Firstly, look up Cubez on the members search. He is a expert on the R32. I would suggest the R33 High Flow as it makes a huge difference and to get a electronic boost controller as it holds boost much longer. You can just wind it up yourself and the good thing is these turbo's are cheap at $600 so it is a good risk. Just dont go over the 12 pound mark. But truth being, a dyno tune would really hit the spot and make it all worthwhile. You definitely need a fuel pump before that. I got a Walbro on mine and picked it up for only about $200. It worked wonders and is alot cheaper than a Bosch 0.40. PM me if you want more info
  16. Dude the air filter is real easy and makes a big difference. The noise of the skyline is never that crash hot I don't think personally. Truth is the WRX sounds better. You can crank it to 12 psi not a problem. Honestly, don't cheap out and get the E-Boost. It is about $500 and worth every penny. I have that theory and all my friends don't. They have all suffered from it later. Let me know how everything goes I would like to hear. Just PM me. You just need to on the air filter remove the clamp and add on new one with the air filter.
  17. Hey man had the same problem origianally. R32 GTS-T's run out of puff because of the turbo however a electronic turbo controller like a E-Boost makes a big difference. A air intake is definitely needed and the new K&N is good value and works well. I installed it on mine and had instant results. You probably need a bigger fuel pump too. I can get you a Walbro fuel pump for about $120-150 if you want brand new so PM if you want the site to order it. Also the FMIC will make a bigger difference than you think but honestly a full exhaust system on the R32 as well as a turbo upgrade is needed. Don't worry about the computer until you update your turbo and so on. I would recommend if funds are tight to get the R33 turbo as it is a High Flow and makes a great difference and holds boost heaps better. I got mine for $600 installed and it is great.
  18. My Skyline is a R32 GTS-T Hi Everyone, 2 questions. 1. I was wondering what are the benefits of getting a better plenum and is it worth the money? 2. My car seems to be unstable when driving like a boat and it feels uneasy taking corners like it is going to slides out very easily on tight bends even when taking them at slow speeds. Do I need to get coilovers and dampen it? Also my steering wheel shakes over 100km per hour? Any feedback is much appreciated.
  19. Dude awesome car must say. high mounts look awesome.
  20. Truth is it's not always that easy to tell. The best Idea is to have a drive of a few and compare the spooling of the turbo and the overall feel. Also NRMA, RACQ or whatever state your in offer a Japaneze inspection which is most worth it. You will find things such as air flow and fuel pumps make a big difference which are usually what will need replacing and automatically make a huge difference to the car and turbo in general. But R33's in general are pretty good cars.
  21. I don't think you really need to look to much into this. My R32 is the exact same however I just warm the car up for a few minutes before I drive (or drive it very slowly). This stops the problem, just as GTST said. About the fuel pump, you can pick up a Walbro fuel pump real cheap which do a great job. If you want one just PM me. You should really also get a boost gauge. They are cheap from autobarn and are good for getting accurate readings.
  22. Count me in. I'm In definitely
  23. Thanks for all your help guys that is much appreciated. I will get the 3 inch and thats the only real way to find out. I do plan on getting the R33 turbo on shortly. Gor about $600 you can't go wrong.
  24. I have a standard R32 basically just a air intake, fuel pump and manual boost controller. I'm running it at 12 psi but it seems to drop boost from 12 pretty quickly at higher revs. I was told a digital boost controller would make a pretty big difference. Any thoughts out there?
