  2. ok fellas. ive used 4 of marks controllers.. 2 holes and 2 non holes.. on a GTR S14 and GTT with NO dramas what so ever.. untill this morning when i put one on my 180sx.. only occassionally it spikes.. boost is set to 6psi.. first gear is normally stead might spike to 10psi.. 2nd gear normally spikes to 10+ and 3rd gear ive seen it spike to 15psi.. on the hhighway build boost in 5th it wont spike. it will mostly only spike after changing gears.. this has really got me.. i purchased this controller a few months back with my first shipment from mark and its been sitting on the table outside for 3 or so months so i might check the insides of it tomorrow.. had very limited issues with the standard solenoid.. it would go to 10.5 and fall to 9ish.. but seeing a 15pound spike is quite scary.. esspecially when the can is on closed loop mode lol... so ill post up what i find..

  6. workshop rates are $90 and upwards my old place was $110 per hour!.. so ur looking at around an hour labour.. less but a shop will charge an hour just cause its not worth billing .5 hour. coilpacks (splitfires) $560+ from slide.. plugs (NGK coppers) $4 each = $24 so ur looking around the 650 mark all up at a shop.. then they will give u a bullshit excuse that oh ur fuel pump is effed and ur harness has a bridge.. and tappet cover gaskets and ull walk out with a 1k bill.. i knw how they work i used to work for one. pm me if u need some help or any other details..
  7. hi mate. $75 ill install ur standard ones.. then ill install ur bilsteins or whatever u get when they come. so 2 installs for that hehe.. i could do with another tank of fuel.. ull be amazed at how much a SR20 would drink when shes bouncing around revlimiter allday..

    ok dont forget that in japan they use magical jungle juice with high octane levels even in ther prius' (man they are a hoot to drive).. so they would have a far more advanced ign timing than what we should have.. running a lower octane..
  9. pretty much sums it up. ethenol reacts with water and moisture.. it can have some side effects. with the amount of carbon deposits we all have in our engines its prob best u run a tank everyonce in a while.. i hope everyone changes ther fuel filter regularly..?

    Bad Fuel

    go to BP and complain tell them that the fuel is shot get a refund.. i got bad fuel from Caltex... once.. never again.. was in my old GTR.. after that.. it fouled my plugs.. wouldnt rev over 6k.. fixed it with new platniums .75mm and optimax... and then it revs to 9k.. lol crazy jap tuned car.. been using optimax for years now.. all good.
