  1. use LSD oils for LSD. shouldnt get a whine out of it. gonna change my oils with castrol oils at the workshop. 75w-90 should be fine for gearbox
  2. bah ill do 100kms service myself. just do all oils filters and replace P/S belt.. timing belt done 30km ago. now at 91kms.. looks like the PS belt tensioner is hiden i cant see it. might think bout doin other stuff. did a 80,000kms service on a UZJ100R landcruiser cost customer $900 spent an hour or so ripping off tappet cover and checking valve clearances. most of its labour fellas. do what u can urself

Hey, this will be my first topic. hope its in the right section. my P/S belt is on its last legs.. looked it over very frayed. ok i cant see a tensioner. u got Crank - P/S pump.. no idle tensioner. so the P/S pump has to have a tensioner. unfortunately i cant see one? is it under the airbox? hot pipe intercooler? just want to knw the quickest easiest way to get the belt off.. any help would be great guys. mark.
  5. ok.. really. not many real GTR owners like it. seriously. sure u might but i guess ur a teen that likes body kits sound systems and BOV's. i too am a teen and will be for 2 more years.. and i focus on performance.. seriously.. wtf would i buy a 25k car and rice it up when i can buy a honda VTiR and mod it exhast it and rice it to the tune of $25k? u buy the best car a GTR. and u insult it with flavourless kits and wheels. $5000 on wheels and kit or $5000 on power FC, hi mount single turbo + manifold and tune i knw waht ill do
  6. haha.. its all good brett a dnt think ther is a vspec in the gtst range. driven mates R33GTST before. like it.. it has raw power and lack of grip even with 265's on the rear. nothing compared to my gtr. just brought some platnium plugs for the GTR. only cost me $8.40 each ... SCORE. mate ur gonna run up to 20psi on the stock T25's? that correct. do u knw what that will do to them. im not even game to run 17psi on my GTiR and that was T28... uve either got balls or no brains...
  7. why. because i just got it.. and its nothing compared to my old GTiR.. it still is stock. and handles beaut. now its starting to miss up at 7000+rpm. what could that be? havent changed plugs yet only oil and filter.. still got the japanese ones.. dnt get me wrong GTR is great.. but lacks boot in the ass. think it needs mods.. first need to fix that missing problem any ideas?

  9. haha thats an understatement. basically both cars r shit. VQ engines r piss to work on. expect large labour bills. u knw subaru r japanese too. skylines r great. but ther is better out ther. wasting ur money on NA R32 and Z32. only good thing with Z32 is the AFM which u can sell for a few $$$
  10. castrol 10w-60 is the best oil. its got a great heat range and can take alot. used in in my GTiR and my GTR. when i put my FMIC on the GTiR oil temps went above 120-130 on that guage? still goes hard. such a good blend. i did an oil flush soon as i got my GTR from japan. last "logged" service was 30k ago :| getting my old filter off was piss hard.. cant even get a ratchet round it. took 30 mins.. it is a bit of a tight squeeze.. glad only have to do it every 3,000kms. what u running coppers.. whats the part number on that?

SHit did i say LX.. my bad.. i mean RX.. ahah 2.5L AWD.. very nice car. in more ways than others i would prefer the RS turbo wagon (aus delivered) than my GTR.. but 250k on clock aint appealing.. too soon to rebuild. RX liberty will flog the socks of ur garden variety commodores.. most likely last longer too.. our GX AWD wagon is at 190+ and i give it so much.. and she still flogs SS commodores.. haha V8s.. esspecially in my touge. exactly why do u want a turbo skyline.? i reckon they r overrated.. the GTR aint all that. lol

  14. also got same tyres on my GTR. r urs 225s or 275s? cant quite see.. ive got 245s alright tyre.. good in dry.. very good cornering doesnt understeer so much. in wet.. they tend to go everywher. and they r noisey! think ill buy some federals next

  19. i agree with tomek. i reckon u can get away with a turbo car easially. for example i was doin a bit of touge in the GTR on my mountain passes. brakes wer red hot and squealin so came to the bottom of a hill and intended to drift a roundabout so i dnt use the brakes too much to slow down. at that moment i looked left see a undercover cop lights in a commo that pulled over a TX3 with big FMIC. re balanced the car out and drove normally.. got out of site and launched it.. mm tyre screaching. be sneaky.. dnt go to big ass groupie meets like half the fools that head to broadwater CP every sat. U GIVE US BAD NAMES. keep away frm cops and u wont have problems. and dnt go drawing attention to urself. dnt go poping off burnouts in carparks..remember its the picky NSW P platers that ruined it for the rest of ya. dnt draw cops out u wont get caught.. get an liberty wagon
  20. uh.. insult to injury. wouldnt get a N/A R32.. ahahha if i was an unlucky NSW P plater.. ill be lookin for a nice AE86 or Liberty wagon. pref LX. same prices as a R32GTST (decent) Turbos r great. but nothing is better than response and balance.. something not many turbo cars have. but lag is cool. plant ur foot.. waiting nothing. nothing nothing.. BAM ahahah
  21. also chek ur master cylinder.. hard pedal. screwin up diaphram. it might be ur calipers but just check ot to be safe caliper recon kit for single piston cars like camry are only $50 or so.. see nissan they should have a part number for a kit.

  25. hybrid kits r the deal. nice kit value for money.. but instructions r shit!.. no info at all.. did a hybrid kit on my GTiR. that was a good sunday. so much cutting involved. in the end the turbo off hot pipe didnt seal and leaked valuable boost! ended up givin me 20kw more at the wheels.. and launches wher more fun. hybrid kits r good value for money..
