DIYs are cool. thing is. the timing of a car is extremly important. out by a tooth will make her run like a dog. wrong tension on a bolt can cause it to come loose. and worst off. if ur timing is wrong a bit more valves can hit pistons and u have a build in the making. so saving a few hundred $$$ can cost u a 5k build

check charge rate. battery. dizzy. leads. ignitor. the engine is pretty much bullet proof. the car is pretty bullet proof (apart from box) so i doubt it would be a mechanical problem. but u need to tell us more..

ok u said it was running shit.. so sounds like electrical problem. and having no spark to ignite fuel. im gonna throw up. battery/alternator/dizzy/leads. sounds like ther is not enough power to run the spark so u need to find if its prior to the dizzy.. i could have a look see.. whats this bout me in a closest.. what has josh told u lol.

im honest. but my GTiR working days are over.. i hope to never work on one again.. lol does it crank round..? starter crank over. GTiR SR are the same as every other SR but larger flowing oil pump solid lifters. its basically the RB26 of SRs. except it runs a dizzy lol. let us know its symptoms and we can pinpoint it.

yeah i get what ur saying but the majority of dodgy stuff happens between japan and brisbane on the boats and stuff. and alot of aussie dealers wind them back.. but i got proof with my unmarked interior.. just recommend that u look hard and be patient..

also the osaka dock sticker is 1 month after with 300kms after the final service july 05.. but i did import this one myself and took me months to find. i was very happy

i wouldnt say all.. if u look hard and go to the right places u too can get a genuine kms GTR like i did lol..

RACQ checks are pretty shit imo. sorry but i know alot of people who have had ther silvias and skylines done and they dont pick up the simplest problems. eg oil leak from turbo. coolant leak. cracked manifolds. sump leaks. wheel bearings. mostly they will only pick engine oil leaks, brake pads and tyres. they only do major bits... i recommend take a trusted mechanic who understands the cars. jack her up go fully over it.. one way to check kms is to look at the door service sticker. or the dock kms reading. but most of them are ripped off prior to making it into the country. also check the interior condition handbrake condition/steering wheel/pedal/seats/carpet..
