  1. Cool thanks mate.

If anyone has a product code, feel free to sling it my way.

    Hey mate!

Havent been to the garage yet but ill give you a post when i've been there and checked the product code, should be tagged on the box. Meanwhile heres a proof they exist, dont mind my artistic mod of the photo :P

  2. Just glad for your input!

No i guess it will look just to weird with the red lip :S!

None taken mate! It was an idea that got out of control i guess  I wanted to use real bolts but the glass fibre rear quarters beeing so thin made me choose to just glue them to the body. Then a mate of mine invited his friend that when he showed up proved beeing one of the best airbrush'ers in Sweden. I asked him if he could consider making bolt/pop's and then we shared ideas for a while which ended up in the final rusted pop's around the rear quarters and hood scoop ;)

Another thing i took in consideration was the fact that i didnt want a GTSt looking like a GTR-wannabe, with the quarters molded into the body

Me and some other friends sat down earlier today and disguessed what color to go with, and one of them thought that since the Jade-paint has got a small gold glow to it, same goes for the Kandy-paint, then why dont i gow with Gold lip/Black spokes OR the other way around? :)

  3. The reason your gearbox is making noises sound definetly like the synchros but i dont see how double-clutching it would make it any worse, have the same crunch in forth, works better if you double clutch it or just dont change it as fast, same goes for a mate of mine on one of his last cars, had the synchros changed=no prob'. The whole 'double-clutch' thing comes from old non-synched gearboxes BTW...

But it really cant be the reason it doesnt rev up as it should, does it feel like the car is struggling to get speed or is it just a lack of power?

Does it rev freely when in neutral/clutch pressed?

Check things like faulty Lambda sensor, AFM, CAS (Cam Angle Sensor, in front of engine) or if the turbo is blown, should give alot of smoke though.

Other things like bad compression for some reason, might be blown headgasket, still should give smoke but get a comp test done if needed :D Had a customers Celica ST205 running like crap, didnt smoke but the headgasket was blown and was actually leaking small amounts of cooling fluid from the back of the block!

Have you done the ECU-diagnostics test? Shorting the 2 wires on the top left of the grey diagnostics connector, engine light should lid up, giving you 5 long/5 short signals="All OK" otherwise it just to check in the manual what it says :P

  4. PM-R33> Thx

Heres a close-up of how the 'rusty' parts look while getting airbrushed:

The wheels where rather expensive, believe it or not, might be my bad there, so i'd prefer to keep them, although in a perfect world they would be 19" SSR Professor's or Work Meister's ;) Also getting my hands on a set of Professors or Meisters is hard when you sit in Sweden, any tips where to find them on auction, worldwide?

Heres two Photoshoped version to give a hint, im not longer all that sure about the black/black version :S:

  5. What factory EGT sensor?

The only sensor there is after the turbo is the O2 sensor, and the Cat temp warning sensor. The cat temp sensor being plugged into the cat itself.

Is it NOT a EGT sensor in the true sense as it does not have anything to do with the ECU.

All it does it flash up a dash warning light for CAT overheat.

I could be wrong i guess but as i've been told earlier the ecu change the timing if it runs to lean, this 'cause of the cat temp sensor and knock sonsors giving a to high value.

  6. Hey! Need some help deciding what to do with my wheels, they need some freshning up!

They're 19"x9.5 and 19"x8.5 TSW Thruxton with grey spokes/polished lip.

The car has got Millenium Jade paint and rusty bolts airbrushed here and there, also the enginebay and trunk is Kandy Apple red :P

    Heres how my thoughts go:

    Matte black spokes/Gloss black lip

    OR

    Black spokes/Millenium Jade lip

I dont think its worth trying to implement the Kandy Red on the wheels cause enginebay and trunk wont show when i drive around, right :geek:

    Car as it looks now:

  7. And yet some more progress, have been searching for painted boot's so much that my fingerprints are gone but the only way to really know how it looks is to do it yourself!

Heres the result, hopefully itll look good with polished alu-parts in the engine bay, and a polished fuelcell in the boot. To cover the sides of the boot ill make some CF plates to keep it as 'show' :( as possible :(

  8. as long as its neat and tidy with no wires and rubbish it will always look good

dont use too many different colored parts, pick two or three and stick to em

black and chrome always looks good

it has to match the whole look of the car so IMO i wouldnt paint to covers red

paint the covers to match the can and do everything else either chromed or black and it will look awesome

    Picking up those tips!

My plan is/was to paint the trunk and engine bay Kandy Red and having things like brake-/clutchcylinders, wipermotor etc.. painted Kandy Red also to make them 'disappear'.

The valvecovers same color as body; Millenium Jade, but now im thinking of having it Kandied too or havings them polished to keep things clean.

To brake things off the aluminium parts like CAS, alternator, powersteering gets a mirror-polish. Will use steel braded hoses for all fluids such as fuel, oils, water etc.

Im going to manufacture a mirror polished fuel cell to place in the trunk.

Thinking of having it stand on a carbon plate cut to fit on top of the spare tire-compartment. The sides in the trunk are getting carbon coverplates too. Not covering to much though since i dont want the paint to disappear so that itll only look like small color dots here and there.
