  1. i was meant to put them on the car but b4 doing so i took the springs out to check the shocks and found out the rears were dead but the fronts are still good... too lazy to go muck around anymore hence they're up for sale... i remember reading on some website that the spring rates are somewhere between 4-6 kg/mm but i'm not too sure... what i was told is that they're harder than std but not as hard as coilovers at their softest...

  2. there are 2 different assemblies... one has only the indicator and a dummy reflector while the other has the indicator and the auxiliary lamp... there are 2 obvious differences when u line them up next to each other... 1) one of them has horizontal lines on the lens while the other has vertical lines... 2) the one with the auxiliary lamp has a smaller indicator space than the one without...

  3. hey philip,

will u get a defect for that like a-pillar pods (cos they say u'll hit ur head against them)? if u won't get defected then i'm pretty interested if u can get a good price... is it made to suit an r33 dash? cos the dash in the pic is a pre-98 impreza dash...

    cheers,

    louis

a bit o.t.: what happens to the factory fitted a-piilar boost gauge in the import s15 when they get complied?

25 60% no claim 94 gtst full comp cover for $24000

famous quoted me $1400 for this. but where willing to match RAC if i caould provide the last bill, which i have lost.

yeah but i doubt rac will wanna insure if the car had a comprehensive list of mods as opposed to specialist insurers

  5. the tyre placcard will save u from a defect but that's bout it... if the dimensions of ur wheels conflict the standards set out in the adr, then technically ur car is not roadworthy and any insurance company will try to make a policy void by looking out for such stuff... a mate of mine had an e36 318i with no engine mods, just bodykit, lowered and 17s... the car got vandalised on the street and when he lodged the claim, they rejected it bcos his wheels were 8" wide... even in a claim that wasn't a result from an accident was rejected bcos the was not roadworthy... duty of disclosure states that u have to mention everything to ur best knowledge, but being ignorant or feigning ignorance is not a valid excuse to insurance companies... back to the tyre placcard issue, my r33 has the orig jap placcard on the driver's side that lists the 7.5" wheel and the locally translated one in the glove box also has that so u may be able to get ur rwc...

  6. u may get away with it as on my tyre placcard, there is a 16"x7.5" wheel as well... i believe these wheels came on something to the sound of an lsd-equipped auto? someone please clarify... nonetheless, i'm seeking to get an engineers cert on my wheels, too (9" rear, no way out)... does it cost the same to engineer other stuff at the same time? i.e. exhaust and fmic?

    cheers,

    louis
