  1. Quote by R33:"Now the heaver car will have more weight on the tyres. This means that more braking force can be applied before lock up. Therefore the heavier car is capable of more braking force before reaching its maximum which occurs just before lock up. It is because of the fact the heavier car can apply more force that it will stop quicker." Dude, i think what you are refering to is pressure....that because of the extra weight, there is more pressure per square inch of the tire's contact patch compared to the lighter car, and hence should be able to apply more force without reaching the grip limit and locking up. But i think you forgot to factor in that while there is more weight and pressure on the tires to give it an increased grip limit, there is also that extra weight which will overwhelm the grip as well. Put simply...if what u said were true.....F1 cars would weigh 10 tonnes and wear 175mm tires.... but we dont see that happening dont we?

  14. not silly at all... i guess my post was confusing... 1st gen afc is the 5 knob jobbie, 2nd gen afc is the blue screen button one also called the safc, which is the one i had but has since been sold... current one is what i'll call the 3rd gen afc or 2nd gen safc...

  16. Greetings JimX The main difference between this and a stock fuel regulator is that the apexi one is adjustable for fuel pressure. I noe that its an apexi fuel regulator because i bought it from the apexi distributor and from the instructions that came along with it. Its no longer marked because the apexi sticker fell off. However the same fuel regulator is also offered by Tomei and Nismo. You can verifiy this by searching for a pic of the fuel regulator offered by the abovementioned brands and u will realise that their shape and design are identical. (please see pic of mine in the earlier threads) sorrie guys abt the oil cooler but i've yet to get my hands on a digicam...however u r welcome to view it personally if u r in sydney...just gimme a call. theres no remote oil filter kit, the oil filter simply sits on top of the sandwich. p.s ...hi gtr boy that was me.... how r u? Thanks
  17. c yar, someone offered $50 for the blitz adaptor but my mate was not keen to separate... if u take the lot i can hook u up with the person who wants the adaptor...
  18. thanks john, apologies for the unexpected dramas though... will let u know if either my mate or i know of another unit for sale... steve and all who've pm-ed me about the cooler, very sorry for the delay, will get pics up once i get my hands on a decent digicam... i haven't counted the rows, but for a rough idea, the size lengthwise is about 1 1/3 that of a stock intercooler and heightwise about 3/4 of a stock intercooler... no i'm not getting confused here, it is an oil cooler for sale... just using a stock intercooler as a point of reference for size... it was off a z32 which has a vg block... to my knowledge, vg blocks use the same oil filter as rb blocks so the sandwich will fit... i bought it with the intention of fitting it to my skyline thinking i'll be doing some trackwork but never got down to it and i don't have my skyline anymore... sandwich definitely does not suit ca block, but i'm not sure about sr blocks... i believe the thermostat is built into the sandwich... cheers, louis
  19. S-AFC has been sold, price drop on Blitz BOV... As stated above, please ring instead of posting, especially if you want a quick answer. Cheers, Louis
