  1. you need to be careful screwing into aluminium, the chances of stripping the thread is increased, you dont want to do this! yes it will feel different, more "spongy" if you like personally i would do it up until you can see the aac valve pull all the way up onto the gasket then maybe another full turn or two, depending on thread pitch
  2. It states in the manuals the torque settings, for the AAC Valve it is 6.3 - 8.3Nm which is fairly tight, best thing is to get yourself a torque wrench so you can be sure its to manufacturing standards
  3. Just ordered 2 Vipec plug-in ecus and 5bar map sensors and expansion loom on monday, they are going for $1765, and $187 for the map sensor and $70 for expansion loom. you can use the stock knock sensors or aftermarket ones doesnt matter, but you will need a knock amplifier for either, unless you get the V88 version which has the amplifier built in. the V88 goes for about $2500~
  4. when i bought the car it already had spacers on it, 4mm only though and arnt they illegal? in NSW?
  5. I have noticed a whining noise coming from the front wheels, and admittedly only had a good look today to find that the fron wheels are rubbing badly on the upright connecting to the upper control arm. now this looks very nasty, so what are my options? i don't want to be buying new tyres every week thanks in advance, Zurlox
  6. Sorry if im commandeering the thread i have been reading around and getting some mixed views on this topic, what id like to know is, what is the raw output of a stock knock sensor, and what is the ecu looking for after the knock sensor is amplified? so just in regard to the Knock amp/filter, they are bloody expensive, has anyone rigged up one from say...a jaycar kit? any advice is much appreciated Zurlox
  7. this is the only way i know of to buy the bearings, as they fit into the existing knuckle spindle on the car (the unit behind the baffle plate), pedders quoted me 200 for each bearing, thats why i went for the ones from justjap, ended up costing 170 for both delivered you could also try getting them direct from cbc
  8. Hi mate, you can purchase the front wheel bearing kit from JustJap here http://justjap.com/store/product.php?produ...=254&page=1 it shows you whats included in the package, 1x bearing, 2x dust boot/rings, 1x split pin. more details on the installation of these can be found in this pdf i made from a guide i found on the internet - HERE also there is the assembly diagram in the gtr service manual which is pretty handy i have uploaded that section aswell - HERE on page 8 i got pedders to fit my new ones a few weeks back and they charged 130 for the pair! so try and find a better price somewhere else Hope this helps Zurlox
  9. looking at the sustec damper shocks, how much for shipping to NSW 2640? and they will fit R32 gtst? and how low are the springs? im running on 18's and they just fit under the well on the stock shockers Thanks mate
  10. would the coilovers fit a r32 gtst? also would you seperate and sell just the rear set?
  11. looking for the steering rack ends, and shockers. and do you know if it would fit the 32gtst? ta Z.
  12. Hey man If your selling the shock absorbers and or steering racks (front and hicas), Can i have pics of the them, what type, condition etc, and a price please. Thanks Zurlox
  13. Maybe not when the wheel bearings sound like an angle grinder dissecting a cat
  14. yeah, my thoughts now are that i will get the critical components replaced, and the shockers can wait a bit, although they are leaking a little bit of oil, they will be good for a bit longer till i can source replacements at a price im willing to pay
  15. Also, whats involved in replacing the wheel bearings? is it something that requires a press, or can i do it in the garage?
  16. Hey all, Took my beautiful R32 down to pedders last night for a 28point suspension check, after 2 hours they concluded that the front L&R wheel bearing was shot - $200 each, Front Shocks leak oil need replacing - $360 a pair, Rear Shocks are badly worn - $496 a pair, L&R Upper-Inner bush worn - $140, L&R L/H rack end worn - ~$100. Plus labor it totaled to $2056 for standard replacement items! So my question to you is, should i go for a brand new coilover kit worth $1600, or should i stick with standard? I dont need the shocks to be adjustable, but a street package would be a nice option, im just not savy with the different types/options etc. budget is an issue as i need to replace all the busted up parts as well. Now i can also get from justjap the wheel bearings for $75 a piece and i want to source the other items to try and lower the total price a bit in order to opt for a better suspension package. Any thoughts would be appreciated Thanks, Zurlox
  17. http://justjap.com/store/product.php?produ...=273&page=2 I have one fitted to my R32, nice note, good looking, and is fairly quiet
  18. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Fu...mps-t20800.html From second post "an R32/33 GTR or Z32 TT fuel pump, fits straight in and good for 260 rwkw" once you pull the pump cradle out you'll see what your up against try looking through this topic - http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Bo...tr-t111401.html
  19. hey mate, interested in the intake pipe, but wanted to know where it then made the pod sit? at the moment my pod sits low pointing almost vertical with the stock pipe :S and whats the cost for postage to 2640? ta, Zurlox
  20. i have fixed the problem!! i changed all the fuel hoses to high pressure hoses, and got a new fuel filter in as well as a fuel pressure gauge. i then modded the pump 12v feed from the topic found here http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Fu...57#entry4439057 and when i turned the ignition on the pump was only providing 10psi on the gauge, so i swapped the pump out with my original, and BAM, straight up to 45psi, she was humming like a beauty!! when the bosch pump arrives ill swap it in, and that will cover me for awhile, hopefully never to go back to it, now that i know everything that side is fine.
