  1. Sinbin the guys that made GTR are fairly similar as they got the licence for the FIA GT after they did a mod for f1 2002

the cars are hard to handle on this when you first play it. but you get used to it after a while, especially with a steering wheel.

  2. I have been playing GTR for around 2 years now. Its one of the nost realistic sims around - even get a motec suit for your computer to set your car up properly :D i had to order a copy from germany so i don't get english on all the screens.

My comp gets stuck on the windows loading screen sometimes can be stuck for upto 20+ mins and restarting doesn't help. Been like this for a long time when i had faulty ram in and have formatted two times scince

  3. FEAR was the only FPS that i have played for a while - now have a copy of Oblivion.

I usually stick with the sim racing games. Computer is a bit slow now and having boot up troubles that won't go away even with a format :D

  4. sorry...

yeah but its only on imports you usually get informed if you need to get a roadworthy when you get the identity inspection done. Hope this is clearer. It sounds like there was a stuff up with Dan and he wasn't notified.

My mate down there said it's all about making extra money

  5. I'm not sure about the steering wheel size.

from what i hear Dan has sorted it out and it now just needs an identity inspection and not a full roadworthy (is this right Dan?) it was a mix up apparently with rego.

From what i found out at the reigstra office when you get a Import from interstate and have it go through an identity inspection they some times select you for a roadworthy inspection, you won't need to if you were the registred owner interstate.

  6. Saw a white 32 today on south rd at St Marys had an aftermarket hood with bonnet catches, looked and sounded nice.

the "Bond" aston martin is a convertable and was a light green. we get lots of nice cars into our chrysler yard - we had one customer with a 2004 turbo 911. couldn't believe he let me drive it (not out on the roads though :P ) not bad the first Turbo car i drove

  7. got our first XR5 Turbo in to day!

doesn't look to bad - nice interior with recaro's. haven't been allowed to drive it yet though.

the salesmen keep on trying to tell me how much better it would be than my car (they don't like imports) it's got 166Kw at the engine, weighs 1400kg and is front wheel drive. not to mention its $35, 00 plus all the on road stuff so more like $40, 000, will have to take it for a drive hopefully tomorrow, then we'll see if i'm impressed

  8. this isn't much help as the said it could be any number of things!

some of their possible suggestions were

    -wrong payment

    -cheque bounced

    -defect issue

did you buy your car here in SA with registration or did you import it your self or buy it interstate?

it didn't help that i couldn't help them with any info about your car as they asked me your no plate and full name.

  9. i know a few people in the registra office as i have to work with them every day i ll ask about files being frozen and some of the reasons why they freeze them. hope i can help it would suck not being able to register your car.

  10. we had one of its British rivals in at work the other day mmmmmm.... Aston Martin DB9 licence plates "BOND" (the guys actual surname)

noticed it doesn't have plates on the front - ILLEGAL! i suppose he can afford the fine.

saw a black 33 with a GTR wing and alloys didn't see the front in all the traffic.

  11. the 2006 Australian GT Eligibility list has been released the 34GTR is still able to be run unlike the Supra and RX-7 as they were both cut from the series. The GTR is the only car that is being allowed to run in 4WD however it will be hit hard with power as turbo cars are being raped to slow them down look at the NSX gets a new turbo motor and wins a round then gets RPM and HP cut to "even it out" and isn't competative any more 9.2 seconds off pole today at Bathurst. The GTR is also the most affordable car on the list so i am surprised that people complaining about budget aren't going for the cheaper options over the porsches.
