why will you be running an AFM with the ems? don't ems have a map sensor?

id reccomend going the auto, i own both a worked r32 gtr and a vl turbo street/race car and i tell you theres no better feeling than dropping the transbrake at 20psi, short shifting straight to top gear and stepping the whole street. i do admit the gtr is more fun through the twisty stuff but nothing beats top gear skids

im not sure what rpms to expect with the 30 bottom end, maybe 8500? not sure about 900hp, boostn's setup is alot more serious than mine and its making 915 with a much bigger turbo. ill be happy with 650. -

no vls have run a 9 on a 4spd jatco, only the 3speeds. im aiming to break my brothers record of 10.1 @ 133 with the 4spd. im using the gt42 because once ive run the 9 i want then im going to throw in a glide, 9" and some tubs and get serious but for now i just want something that i can cruise on the street and have a bit of fun with. Im aiming for 500rwhp on pump fuel for the street, hoping for somewhere around 650+ race tune and c16. -
Hey guys, I have most of the parts together and ready for my engine although I need to know what spec cams I should be running for best spool time + peak power. My setup is going into a VL street/strip car, mid nines is the goal. Currently I've got rb26 head (would I get away with a minor port job or should i go big with this?) 1000hp plain bearing GARRETT GT42 with .91 rear 1000cc sard injectors bosch 044 pump adjustable cam gears etm exhaust manifold, 4" dump pipe etc GTR-LINK ecu (will be changed for a motec or autronic but I just want to get the car running now) RB30 bottom end with CP forgies, spool rods etc. Gearbox is a jatco 4spd with all the fruit, rated to hold 550rwkw. full manual reverse pattern valve body, 4000 tce stall, transbrake etc. any help with this would be appreciated as I'm pretty stuck on which cams to use at the moment. I'm aiming for around 500rwhp on pump fuel with under 25psi, does this sound achievable with the above mentioned setup? cheers

G'day, it's come time to sell the GTR. Tens of thousands have been poured into this car. Mods as follows $13,000 in reciepts for rebuild Engine only has 1,500kms on it Brand new nissan r33 gtr crank Eagle forged rods CP forged pistons N1 oil and water pumps Everything has been machined etc Apexi power FC ecu with hand controller 3.5" stainless system new extreme button clutch nismo fuel reg blitz pod filters blits bov's (not yet installed) It made 311awhp (232awkw) at Silverwater automotive on 14psi boost pressure Very fast on the street. It has white nismo gauges, nismo dash (320kmph speedo, 10,000rpm tacho) High quality sound system Nismo steering wheel 18" shadow rims with 255 rubber on all 4s Bilstien adjustable suspension. Theres probably alot i have forgotten. One of the neatest gtrs ive seen, no dings, scratches, interior is near perfect etc etc. Mature owner 40 years old. Selling due to needing a family car. This car is an awesome base for a big horsepower GTR or a very reliable street car. The bottom end is built to hold alot of horsepower.

is that on a 26/30? I dont mind too much about lag, as long as i see some posetive pressure by 4,000rpm im happy I may swap the rear housing for a .91 im pretty sure they come in???

yeah i just wanted to know, what size cams i should be using and how far to go with the head, also it looks like ill be using the t04z with 1.00 rear so I want to know how far i have to go with the head to make 450-500rwhp comfortably on pump fuel

G'day guys. Just wondering who on here is running a 26/30 in thier car, what bottom end and bolt ons you have and what power you are producing. Just curious because I'm currently building one for my vl street/drag car, I'm looking for mid 9s. I'm also undecided on which turbo to use, my choices are a 1000hp plain bearing ta45 76wheel and .91 rear ot a 1.00 rear t04z. Also, I'm unsure on how far to go with the head, springs, valves etc and also cam specs. I want something that is going to run the times at the track, whilst not being too laggy for street use. I have a very tough jatco auto behind her which is going to sap the power a bit but it will make up for it with times. So far my setup consists of... 26 head and standard plenum cp forged pistons forged rods nitrided crank grub screwed o-ringed etc rochester 1000cc injectors eXtm custom exhaust manifold turbosmart 45mm gate 3.5" from turbo back I'm also undecided on an ECU, can anyone help me there? With this setup and say the 1.00 t04z would it be unrealistic to expect 450-500rwhp on around 24psi and pump fuel with a good head and set of cams? What setup are you guys using on the 26/30 and what sourt of power is it producing? cheers brad

If I buy CP forgies that come in 9.1 comp ratio it should drop to the perfect comp ratio once the head is on yeah? also, do i need to run the oil squirters? thanks brad
