  1. I've just had my first go at wraping, I have an R34 which had faded carbon decals, and I got a PM35 Wagon that I've done a few parts on aswell. Pretty easy to do if you get the good stuff, tight corners etc not a problem, just be methodical with it. And take the parts off.

  2. That's the wrong size Darren - looks close to the 350Z ones, but the Stagea ones are wider. Some of your Kiwi 'bros' have worked out it's a Renault Koleos size, looks like a perfect fit to me.

Damn it, they have told me this model fits RVCC26 anyone know this?
  3. I've been customising and building cars since ages ago, This was my first go at doing wrap vinyl, it will be better as there are bits I can notice that aren't good enuff and I will redo soon.

I removed all the parts to be wrapped, and used a hair dryer, as the heat gun was far too serious.

I will wrap the roof as I intend to put a roof rack on as well.

The wrap comes in carbon white, silver, black, charcoal, red, yellow, gold I think they have colours covered, and then there are normal colours and even change colour stuff.

I put it on because I had ordered the car with a single DIN for a NZ stereo and the facia was grey and did not match the brushed silver alloy of the

  4. I have done a bit of wrapping of the centre console, door pulls and rear upper tail lights. Install DRL's, LED parklights and swapped the Transmission tiptronic shift pattern to forward down, backward up a gear. Installed Nismo Springs lowered about 30mm.

  5. We run a couple of RB's on E85, pros and cons as above, we use aftermarket ECU LINK, fuel consumption is just under a thrid more, use an ethanol specific oil, GULF or similar and change it every 5000kms, we change oil after every 2nd event. You will need to keep a check on your fuel pump sock filter as they can gum up.

  6. I have same car PM 06 in Wellywood, Haven't seen any for sale since I was lucky and got some Nismo springs off trademe $250 from a NM went about 30mm lower, a guy had them on his wag down south, said they were too hard, they are about 20% firmer than standard, he had 20's on his thats why it was hard. FYI the Nismo's have ten coils and are thicker than the stock 7 colis.

  7. Bugger, I don't have a small white square connector plug on my loom, the unit has the socket on the back next to the antenna and main connectors.

Did you just solder your RCA to the circuit board?

I did get a wire and relay onto the cont1 pin, I'll attack it again this coming weekend.

    Thanks for the help.

Has anyone tried retuning the reciever, I do get a marginal black and white scrolling picture?

  8. kia ora Sonny, Im keen to get a camera going on my PM35 aswell, are you able to give a detailed explanation of what you have done,, I can't make out where your pictures are taken.

You could PM me the details if you wish.

    Cheers

  9. I see a few people have access to the Nissan FAST or similar, can someone de-code my VIN

I want to know if I have LSD?

    CBA PM35

    TLJARENNM35EDAM-LGA

    K23G

    VQ35(DE) 3498

    RE5RO5A RC33

    PLANT A M

the second line in the VIN I can't tell what the character is looks like a 4b combined together?

    thanks in advance

  10. Thanks for the reply, we get them (LED's) cheap here (NZ) CBF to pull it apart to check,

I've also noticed at night you can't see a thing on the floor front or rear needs some lighting on the base of the front seat and or under dash.

And I hate that if I drop something beside the centre console, I can't get my hand in there to get it out, gotta carry a wire clothes hanger to rescue my sh!t

  11. Appologies if this has been posted before, I did search.

Does anyone know what bulbs are in the PM35 dash cluster, centre clock gauge, door pull handles and centre console, I am wanting to change them all to blue LED's

    Cheers

  12. I ran this engine in my Cefiro Drift car for two seasons plus specialty events, the only problem was my final drive gearing was a bit too high for some tracks, I was using 4.3:1 locked diff.

  13. Pretty good results guys, this is one of our drift cars built on a limited budget, survived two seasons in D1NZ plus specialty events, before it dropped compression on number one cylinder, we replaced the entire engine with another StageA RB25DE with around 70,00kms (nicely run in)and back to banging the limiter. $300 for the engine, cheap as chips and easy to replace, I would not go to another rebuilt engine unless it's a VK56.

    It's all in the tuning.

  14. Welcome Darren. Nice vids btw.

Don't worry, you'll get plenty of tech help here (& on itsnotavolvo.com.au) & a small amount of ribbing occassionally, as you've seen. It's all in fun & (mostly) everyone on here are good blokes with heaps of knowledge between them. Being mainly family guys &, ermm, responsible types, you will never hardly ever hear us talk about driving illegally. It's what sets us apart from the others :)

Thanks for the reply. yep I'm mostly responsible, a bit hard when you have performance cars, but hey that's what the tracks for.

If you want to race cars, race a racecar

    I love DIY aswell
