  2. Jetdat - I do apologise for the delay in confirming but I have had an unexpected cashflow problem hope to rectify tomorrow! If not then I'll be a sad little camper...
  3. Out of interest, what are the CFM capacities of the two cheaper cats?
  4. I thought I may have the same problem... it turns out that my regulator is fine but the plastic guide clip is stuffed! I'm going to make a replacement out of aluminium so it doesn't perish again

    Qld Importers

You can use others (J-Spec, Prestige, Mark Hocking etc) and the car is shipped to QLD... the way I see it, unless you're buying the car from a yard (and view it in person) then it doesn't matter where anyone is as you do the purchase via phone/email Just my $0.02
  6. I have an R34, but stock with cat-back exhaust I was getting 420-600 depending on driving style, with boost up I'm getting 360-500 (each off just under 50L)
  7. Try and read at least the previous post before asking such a question...
  8. Manual Gearbox? How many k's? Where are you located?
  9. I guess I'll come check it out...
  10. Well, my guess is that 3/4 up to +1bar is 10.5 psi and it's definitely above that Thanks for all the advice, I shall investigate an aftermarket boost gauge. Shame they're a pain in the ass... can't just switch out the stock-o
  11. Ebay has them for up to $100, try looking around some Nissan forums eg. nissansilvia.com
  12. Yep, stock gauge, hence in the first post I noted that it mightn't be accurate - you think this is likely? Is it the case that the stock gauge is fine for stock levels but less accurate when upping the boost?
  13. The plug connects to the consult port - in the R34 it's under the dash near the bonnet release. I have the software courtesy of a mate, I believe he got it from the oz 300 forums I have used it, another mate has used it for constant analysis after burning his own rom chip (for track fuel mappings etc). It's quite good for live and logged data
  14. What you want is a usb->consult cable and the conzult software, runs on any windows PC. Great for diagnostics and simulation, does contain not to be toyed with if you don't know what the ramifications are though... Google nissan consult conzult
  15. I'm trying to run 10psi, it's fully unwound and I have stock everything except cat-back exhaust... nothing obvious is restricting it. If I unwind it any more it will fall out of the thread!
  16. Interesting, it's spiking to just over 12 then dropping slightly but staying high. I may try winding it in slightly to see if this is the problem. Will try it after work today Thank you.

  20. Hi all, I have purchased a Turbotech boost controller, whacked it in... have a query which I posted in the monster thread but I think it would be better off here. Any help would be much appreciated! Has anyone else had issues with a boost spike to over 12psi even with the screw barely tightened? Could this be caused by the ball bearing not being seated correctly? ***************************************************************************** Hi mrgilly, Boost spike with a gated controller such as the Turbotech is unlikely to be caused by the controller in itself. keep in mind that there are many factors relating to the usage of boost and it differs from car to car. Boost spike most definately will not be cause by a ball bearing not seating nicely. In fact, if the ball is not seating tightly it will be hard to get high boost levels as it wont hold back the pressure very well. Boost spiking tends to be related to other car components and it is exaggerated differently between different controllers. advice that I have been given is that spike is very often related to modifications done willy nilly without expert computer and dyno assistance in the planning. ***************************************************************************** Thanks for that. The only mod on my r34 otherwise is a cat-back exhaust... Are there any other common causes to this i.e. stock parts needing replacement etc? Is it likely my stock boost gauge is just cactus? Cheers
  21. Are you able to give me the measurement for the cheap R34 FMIC? Is it 80mm thick?
  22. Sorry, I have searched to no avail so far
  23. Do you have more details regarding the cat?
  24. I'm currently downloading it from the JDM site, you must sign up and make 20 posts on their forum to download... I guess a few people could share the same account... just an idea
