  2. evo's are good cars but still not my type of car! i drive them and i can see why they're fast but they still don't tickle my fancy. i like to stick to rear wheel driven cars with a bit of grunt. but corolla sportivos aren't bad cars, that would be my choice anyway

  3. yeah the cops said this has been happening to a few workshops! but at ours they've jacked a few things from our owned cars while left outside behind the big gates like sound system and so on but this is the first time they got inside the shop and they only seem to target performance cars

    insurance is covering the tools and and workshop belongings but only up to 5k with customers cars

  4. i lost over 5k in parts on Sunday night when someone broke into the workshop!

    spool I beam rods

    apexi air filter

    hks manifold

    acl race bearing kits

    all my gaskets including the thicker head gasket

    2540 turbo

    arp head studs

    basically everything that was going into the build got jacked so if anyone see's some of these parts for sale give me a heads up because it'll be a bit sus when someone is selling all these parts but also the tools were stolen like all the snap on stuff! torque wrenches etc

    as far as i can see it still looks in ok condition! i brought it off another member here on the forum (Matty31) i think a while ago for my application for a biggish turbo but now i'm not going biggish

  6. do what ever you want! doesn't matter what everyone else thinks

    but if you want more power you can try stroking it? maybe use a rb30 bottom end? bore it out or try some cams with more duration and lift? a computer? there are things you can do but at the end of the day your hp to $ ratio is gonna suck

  8. shouldve got a set that are base height adjustable. run as low as you want without having a crazy uncaptive spring.

    but yeah, run it a little high, bout the height of heslo's car would be ideal, low cars sucks.

    yeah that's why i love my progressive spring rate

  9. 7 psi i think i read was the max u could do on the stock internals.

    but the learning experience in doing a DE+T would be good!

    go thicker gasket to run more boost? it'll be safer as well

    but i quite liked your first intial idea of going for the tomei 2.8 kit! it could've really been a real weapon with the right cams

  10. Damo, you have just demostrated a lack of knowledge of both myself and dan's car. Obviously you know nothing about our cars and what 300rwkw is like with our setup. My car is driven most days and has not seen a dyno in months apart from it's last tune. I think your small penis is blocking your memory mate, If you dont recall i have experience all kinds of turbo's with all types of setups, from stock power, to 200rwkw, to 260rwkw and now 300rwkw. It's ok...your just another Y-Generation punk you wants everything everyone else has right now when both dan and myself worked very hard to acomplish what we have today and when you can't get it or can't afford it, you bag them out to justify your lack of satisfaction in your own car. I would like to meet up with you sometime so you can say to both Dan and myself that our car's are only dyno queens and not suitable for the road. I would also like to take you for a drive through the hills and show you just how subtle or how aggressive you can be with 300+rwkw. It's obvious you haven't experienced it before. So before you go jumping at other people and bagging their pride and joy, just think that i've been in the game and had about 7-8 years behind the wheel of over 200+rwkw cars and done everything myself.

    i've experienced 300kw through the hills in a supra and it's managable! however, i know from just a few corners i cannot drive the car to it's limits! which is why Dan calls me a mouse for not cracking the 300kw mark :yes: so right now i'm aiming for just a few extra kws but for the amount i'm spending i can go for a similar set up to Dan's. i'm just keeping head room atm for the time i feel i can handle 300kw then i'll go for it.

  11. my car was breathing better than his with the decat, straight through exhaust. but it seems right normally there's a difference of 5-20kw between neo and non neo rb25! but the difference was powerband, mine boosts quicker than his but ran out of puff at the higher rev range while his car ate mine at that point, it felt alot more punchy at top end

    but i think the extra bit of torque and power comes from more duration and lift from the cams! i'm not sure how vvt works but i think the cams twist? like how v tech kicks in! i could be wrong but that's my guess
