Yeah when I rang Nissan, they quoted me $2200 ! anyway, I have sourced a set - I will be using the shaft from one of them, and I have no use for anything else.....so essentially I have 2 & 1/2 throttle bodies.....if anyone needs spare parts or wants to buy them....$100 CHeers Warren

Does anyone out there have either One, or a complete set of throttle bodies to suit an R33 GTR ?.......an am busy rebuilding mine, and the rear throttle body shaft was seized in the bearing.....I did my best to get it out with damaging it, but alas the shaft is now bent ! So essentially I am after a shaft to replace it....If anyone can help.....PLEASE get back to me asap.....My engine is almost finished being built, and I dont want to hold it up with such a trivial matter ! haha Thanks all !

Thanks guys for all your replys.....let me start by saying that I am an ex mecahnic by trade, so I could actually do it myself. My main problem is manily time - as I have been off the tools for around 10 years, I'd be extremely cautious in pulling it all apart, then any head issues will take time, then reassembly.....it will probably end up takeing a couple of months, which Im sure you can appreciate, it not desirable. WIth regards to the CO test - yes, that will definately happen before I continue with the job, however the writing is on the wall, because the car idles roughly, spits traces of water out the exhaust, and consumes a lot of water from the radiator - no external leaks apparent....so its HOPEFULLY just the head gasket, but as previously suggested by some of you guys, there could be a number of other causes....PLease all keep you fingers crossed for me ! Hey all, Well, I toook my R33 GTR for a drive today, and it started running a little rough, then I noticed it was getting pretty hot. Turned for home immediately, and let it cool down. When it was cool I checked the water (only checked it 2 weeks ago and it was fine)...It took about 5 litres !. No water leaks evident, so it had to be going somewhere....checked the dipstick but no apparent signs of water in there - Opened the Rocker cover Oil filler Cap and there is mayonaise present...>DAMN !!!!! OK, so Im up for a head gasket.....Can anyone who is out there let me know anything I may need to be aware of ?..anything at all, including stuff like how much it cost to get done by someone else, how much it cost you when you did it yourself, things I will need to be wary of if I do it myself, availability of parts & gaskets & the best place to buy from.....anything at all ! My R33 GT-R is fitted with an HKS GD Pro Twin Plate CLutch.....It hasnt been in long apparently (In the process of finding out install date and Mileage at install), but I think its around 2500k'ms old. Anyway....I am looking at replacing it with a Single Plate clutch to make it nicer to drive....dont get me wrong the HKS works a treat, but is better suited to race & track....My GTR has 400HP at the wheels, but I am fairly kind to the car and dont need this Clutch. Would anyone be interested in Buying it ?....It retails for around $2500 bucks, plus installation. I Guess I would take $1000 bucks for it. Anyway, please let me know if you are interested. Its still in the car, and I will only change it out with a solid commitment from someone..... Cheers Woza

I am looking for an original equipment R33 GTR Gearknob in good condition......I currently have a RAZO knob on my car and I hate it.....I will swap it for a good original knob. So if anyone outthere is interested, or even knows where I can find one, please let me know ! Cheers

So GTRGeoff.....I take it you are not a fan of the V-Spec ? to be honest I would like some guidance as to whether or not I should get a V-Spec or a normal GTR. From your response it sounds like I shouldnt ? Any other opinions etc out there ?

Can anyone out there please tell me how to tell the difference between a standard R33 GTR and a V-Spec Model. I know the obvious one - the V-Spec has an Active LSD withe a couple of wires coming out of it, but what else is there that I should look for ? I am in the market for a GTR, and am looing for a V-Spec in particular, but want it to be the real deal. Is there not a way you can tell from the Chassis number or something like that ? I have a 96 R33 S2 GTS-T fitted with tein coilovers.......I am currently looking at buying an R33 GTR VSpec, which is prettyu much stock standard. Will my Coilovers swap over with the stock GTR suspension, or will I need to upgrade the GTR with specific coilovers ?....I am hoping that I can swap themn over, then sell my GTS-T with the stock suspension in it, and the GTR will then have the coilover Teins Any help would be appreciated ! I Have only had my 96 S2 R33 for a few months, and its now due for a birthday.......whats the best Oil to use ? Also, I was wondering if anyone has a spare factory Cruise COntrol system for the R33...has anyone fitted one of these at all ? I look forward to your replies...any help/advice would be very much appreciated ! Woza

Id like to hear from anyone who has fitted a Nismo 320kph Instrument cluster to their R33 GTS-T. I have one and would just like to know if there is anything I have to do whilst fitting.......do I need to get it calibrated etc. I have a series 2 R33 GTS-T........ ANY advice would bevery much appreciated !
