  1. Cam gears help a lot to produce that curve. Have a look at the thread I started on NS about playing with the cam gears. http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/index.p...howtopic=318617
  2. Here's mine from Saturday, Just need to get a stronger actuator for some more gate pressure and then 18psi and ~230kw (touchwood). 1.8 litre FTW
  3. The episode is on u tube as well. Well the bit i could make out from the snow was anyway.
  4. I have a mate who has a brand new (meaning not been on a driven car) 400R front bar that he is selling. It was trial fitted by the previous owner but he has never fitted it as he can't be stuffed getting it painted. PM me if you want his number.
  5. Just got home from meeting up with the cruise after I finished work (11:30). Good to meet some new people, and have a bit of a strap through the hills in the process. There were only a few left on the cruise by the time I met up with them since apparently people can't read cruise sheets. My excuse for leading people astray was that I didn't have a cruise sheet Anyhow Cheers to all involved; Oh and by the way happy birthday Kahli
  6. I'd only have to dob myself in very occasionally. I wouldn't bother if they where only going say 80km/h, but there is one bloke that regularly go through the top of second and half way through third (In a soarer) before backing off. He'd have to be hitting at least 150.
  7. The question is how quickly did you get to 50? my street seems to be a race track, I'm almost at the stage now where i'm going to start dobbing in hoons myself.
  8. Here they are;
  9. i lol'd at that one too. Can't get the printer to work.......F*#K it i'll just photocopy the screen........ROFLMAO
  10. Anyone had a day at work that just did your head in? This bloke had one of those day's;
  11. I spoke to him last friday and have never had any real problem getting hold of him.
  12. Give Jeff (speedlab) a call, he can certainly do them. Jeff; 0434637357
  13. 9 years - 3 deferred = 6 years 6 years part time = 3 years full time and I'm doing the last year full time to get it finished. You now have to enrol on line which makes it alto easier. My first year at uni was the last year where you had to enrol at campus central, but yes it was a bit of a head f*#k.
  14. Just get them slotted. People think that cross drilling is to aid in cooling but they are used to release the the gas that is built up between the pad and the rotor under hard braking. This gas reduced the pressure between the pad and rotor and there fore reduced the braking force. Slots do the same thing in venting the gas build up but they also reduce the glazing of pad by scraping the surface of the pad.
  15. Hey Ryan, Pm me your number and i'll let you know when i'm going on a hill strap next. If anyone else wants to go them send me your number as well. Dale
  16. Civil Engineering at Mawson Lakes. Been doing it part time for 9 years (deferred 3 years). Finishing next year.
  17. I think you'll find that the T25 has a smaller wheel (definitely a smaller inducer) so you won't be able to fit the T28 housing unless you build up some weld to machine out to fit the small wheel (which isn't worth it). If you manage to get it to fit without doing this the housing to wheel clearance will be so big you'll be lucky to produce any boost. What are you looking for with swapping over the housing? are you looking for more flow because that's why you fit bigger wheels.
  18. Will you guy's listen to yourselves; That cruise was posted up on SAU as well so by your thought process it must have been an SAU cruise as well. The actual fact about that cruise was that is was a cruise for the opening of a new workshop, and it was one of their customers cars that caused the accident......and it was a riced up R34 SKYLINE..... So it probably is more associated with SAU than NS because it was posted on both sites but was caused by a skyline.
  19. I had written a sentence about how on hills cruises the people who can drive have to take it easy because the inexperienced drivers try to keep up and get themselves in trouble, but I deleted it as it's a topic for another discussion not this one.
  20. I was in the first row the lights on ANZAC's and all he did was rev it about in first and then hit the limiter in second. I think i'll be giving the cruises a miss if that's what gets you banned. There was no drifting or burn-outs committed at that intersection so if that's what this is all about then is a bit stupid. I didn't fully read the cruise sheet until I got home (lost the clutch at windies and drove back to Campbelltown through the hills), but if I had've know that the cruise was going back through the city after just getting to the hills I would have left the cruise and gone through the hills anyway. I see cruises that cruise around the city and spend most of their time in 60km/h zones as a bit "poseresk". After all, we all spend larger amounts of money on making our cars more powerful and handle better so we can do what; cruise around at 60 on straight flat roads. If I didn't work in hospitality and work most Friday and Saturday nights then I would run semi regular cruises through the hills, after living in Campbelltown for 2 years I know some ripper roads that I have never seen on any cruises and would love to show people, but at a moderate pace.
  21. The down side of a 1200kg pressure plate. I should have fitted a new one when I had the engine out, you can see where it has broken that it's been broken for a while now but some how it managed to still operate. Well it's 50:50 whether I'm going to have to pull the box out. There's a slight chance that I can get the new pivot point back in thought the release fork hole but getting the yoke back on the thrust bearing will be damn near impossible. We'll find out Tuesday when I have a crack at it. It's going back on the dyno Saturday to finish off the tune so it has to be fixed by then.
  22. So who was it that message me to find out where we were heading?
  23. The cruise had left we where at Windies at about that time which is where my clutch slave cylinder dies so i had to drive from Windies point to Campbelltown through the hills with no clutch. I was actually quite fun as you have to keep as much momentum through the corners as you can, Especially since i only have 1.8 litres so not much off boost torque. EDIT!! I Just had another look, it was the slave cylinder that leaked the fluid but it wasn't the root of the problem; Anyone see anything wrong in these pictures? Now the question is does anyone know if the Nismo pivot points are any stronger than the regular ones? Because if they are 3 times the price because they are brand name I won't be using one.
  24. Hey steve are you going on the cruise? I have an exam until 5pm but might catch up with you all after that, If steve isn't going can some one else SMS me there number so i ahve someone to contact. Thanks Dale 0439848276
