  1. Depends on your goals. Stock turbo? If so just remove the panel under the front guard behind the stock cooler. After extra acceleration? Unless you want to track race on a regular basis save your money and don't buy a front mount till you do something with your stock turbo , like high flow it.
  2. 13.4 is a 'can do' with some important mods, you won't get the stockie going like that un-fortunately cause of the exhaust if nothing else. My 205's , even tho simex, are way under sized for road rubber let alone the drags. Didn't do a thing with the s-afc II except watch the pretty blue screen for 'knocking'. I only installed it the night before and since the instructions are all in jap i was not prepared to touch the A/F settings, I'll leave it for the dyno some time in the next month. Note: * that I did a bunch of 13.5's and a 13.6 that night, it's no fluke. * Simex (read cheap'o) 205's, no octane booster , stock ecu , stock intercooler, 10psi.
  3. I reckon it would take corners sideways pretty well?

Works auto, You got an R33 'whale' doing the same time as you now ( & one only a tenth away) with stock turbo. We can't have that! Time to outrun the whale's before the fat bastards make outlandish claims of superiority again.

I'm copping the disbelief on the skylines downunder forum about the time's we did. They seem unable to believe that a standard turbo can produce a mid 13 in a 'whale'. Then again they are mostly newzealanders.

I have an s-afc now perhaps I too will be in 12's in the future? Then again maybe not.
  11. Marlows if it is just and oil change and basics, if its for warranty and/or you don't want to do it yourself. They fix the price before the service, mine cost me $80 for oil change (mobile 1) and new filter for warranty. Just tell them you don't need plugs and get the quote minus the plug cost. Every now and then get the diff and gearbox oil done (10/15k). Unless you are tuning an aftermarket ecu or fitting performance gear avoid the performance tuners, you will pay through the nose and get less service.
  12. Na, I kept forgeting, was too excited to start the thing before staging. It records the highest points reached on monitor mode though and I used that for knock ( 0 ) and rev ( 6800rpm ).

No. I got one 2.1 60ft and one 2.2 the rest were all 2.4s and much worse. And as usual the 2.1 I stuffed up. Well I guess I do pretty good with only cheap'o 205's on the back.

Track wasn't that great IMHO. I'd say it has more to do with people getting the hang of things. There were quite a number of guys I spoke to who were miles away from their PB that night. Gts-vspec : how many 2.4sec + 60ft times do you need to run before you say the track was not very good!(If it was I wouldn't have had as many almost 3 second 60ft times),
  15. go to takakaira.com And then you can work it out by making a purchase and not finalising it. It's a good idea to do this rather than ask me because the exchange rates change all the time, I might say one thing and then because the rate has dropped you might pay $50 more.
  16. jmp, Champion effort mate! Makit hardware just got a whole lot more toluene in!
  17. Probably $80 in freight

13.4 was my best for the night. With a bunch of 13.5's following. A pretty good effort for my second trip down the plex. I did take about 100kgs of work gear out of the boot (thanks Miko for looking after it), but there was more weight in my back seat than my last trip down and more fuel, so I needed the help. The elusive 2.1 60ft was reached again on a run where I stuffed up, namely on the change to second. More practice and I'll get it one day. So the new stock ecu/stock cooler/stock turbo title is MINE!

What about a custom red vinyl roof and mission brown paint? then we'd see who was laughing!
  20. yeah I didn't (much). I can read a few characters ( thanks to some japanese many years ago) but, put together I have no idea what they mean any more.
  21. no not for tonight, for next week when i do a high timing map for the other storage point in the S-afc.
  22. yep taka's. They take no time to get it to you. mine was like three days max! from memory it was about $550 after conversion to AUS.
  23. Can you read Japanese? If you can that would be great!
  24. Ok I know I told everyone that Makit Hardware in balcatta rd next to Marlows had Diggers brand toluene but when I turned up this morning for some they had run out ! Apparently someone went in and bought the lot! Who has been greedy guts? They will have some more later this afternoon BTW.
  25. The weird thing is the Jap manual has 3 different setting reccomendations for Hi and Low maps, that they provide a graph for to show the effect that each has on the A/F ratio across the rpm. The same reccomendations are made for the RB25det Neo, which has its own page, although the throttle Hi/Lo % is different. This is different between the series I the series II and the Neo R34 RB25DET, but the map stays the same.
