I managed to get my car started after how many attempts (see thread 'R32 GTR starting problem'). still didnt know why it wouldnt start previously. i let it idle for a bit and noticed a really strong fuel smell from the exhaust. i let it idle for a bit and warm up, gave it a few revs and noticed it was blowing some fuel smoke. There was also a noticeably louder ticking noise. i brought it down the road and took it for a quick lap and i could feel the power kicking in and out. I pressure checked the fuel line and its OK. so is the fuel pump. i kinda have it summed down to either being the following:
>Crank Angle Sensor
>Gummy injectors(?)
>The ECU
>Spark Plugs
>The coil packs/Power Transistor or something electronially anyway, seeing that the car wasnt starting a few days ago.
I turned the car off, only to have it not start on me again just a few minutes later! The Exhaust Temp light is also flashing and i was told that it also doubles as a 'check engine' light. Would anyone have any ideas as to whats goin on? Has anyone ever had the same problem before? This is really ticking me off now, and im startin to lose the Skyline spirit. i think i should have stuck to my 180sx........
