  1. lol. pretty much. id need to own half the middle east if i wanted to daily it...
  2. uuuugh. itunes just decided to purge 80gb of music from my ipod. now for the tedious task of reloading all that music from about 12,000 different sources (3 hd's, and a couple hundred cd's...)
  3. its the same old thread as every other rotang thread. "rotors suck, why?" cue jokes about busted seals and the rspca. argument about why everything else a superior engine and that rotors sound like bad gay sex. finish with something about an ls1.
  4. on the topic if rotories, id love to have one of these; with a 20b twin turbo itd rival both my old celsior and the 200 for fuel consumption, but itd be a great cruiser.
  5. told her that. she looked at me like id just asked her the square root of 16 billion. theyre pretty average on fuel. lowest ive seen the consumption for one in town/suburbia (where she and most people will use it) was about 10l/100km, highest was in the 20's... as for the rebuilding engines every 100,000km, very true for the older design engines (fd and older), more so when theyre boosted and modded, but not so true for the new peripheral port engines they use in the rx8, service life is a lot more generous. ... but its also a lot less exciting.
  6. i was trying to lead her towards a dc2r or an nc mx5. had her pretty well sold on the 'R, but then her bf came along and f**ked all that. sigh.
  7. haha, cheers dude.
  8. oh f**k did i lol! ugh, that pic made me forget what i was gonna post. remembered now. was having a chat to a friend of mine about an hour ago. shes been looking at buying a new car for a while now, her only criteria are it has to look good, and be pretty easy on fuel. after she had a chat to her bf last night (hes one of those types that "knows everything" about cars, but barely knows how to take a wheel off) shes decided on an rx8. i tell while an rx8 does satisfy the looking good condition (lets face it, mazda rotory's have always been housed in very attractive cars), its no where near being easy on fuel. her reply to this was her boyfriend said "nah, its only a 1.3 2 cylinder engine, it'll be great on fuel." and now despite my advice, shes convinced that the '8 will be good on fuel... ... so if anyones been thinking about buying an rx8, i might know one that'll be for going cheap soon.
  9. that looked so sweet. would make a killer daily.
  10. i use them. i love them. great tyre, havent let me down yet. sure theyre not in the same league as r888's, but for a 3rd of the price, what have you got to lose?
  11. through adelaide and blackwood tyrepower, theyre about $600 a pop rrp in lukes sizes (265/35/18).
  12. yeah, starting to get that... ... trade ya?
  13. no worries, gimme a yell when you want the other 2. and cheers for the help with the brakes... again. lol. now i just need to talk to david about borrowing his seat...
  14. so ive been trying to figure out why your username is so damn familiar. then after going for a blat with luke in his R this arvo, we both noticed your car. then i remembered, "oh yeah, he lives on my street."
  15. already running -2.5 all round. i want less -camber if anything. 235's all round could work. but im not lowering it more. low enough as it is. srs. exhaust scrapes and front wheels scrub as it is.
  16. caliper covers or did you lash out and buy brembos?
  17. ... too much?
  18. think so, yes. also, too aggressive? 18x10 +12. yes, the same size and style wheels luke has. im emulating.
  19. he got defected for no front bar. cop was right to defect him. the stock bov if complete is an easy pass and wont cause him any troubles at regency.
  20. lets face it jake, youll take what you can get.
  21. lukes mate glenn has a couple decent photos of the track day. ill grab a disc off him tomorrow and drop it in with mine in the coming week.
  22. *shrug* meh, an hour or so is easy. its when they live in different states that it gets a bit iffy. example, one of my ex's live in noarlunga, not exactly easy to find the time, but we worked it out and it last a solid 6 months til it just burned out, distance didnt have anything to do with it. another lived in sydney. that was a head f**k. finding the time was like winning the lotto. that ended up lasting a little longer (~18 months, saw each other about a dozen times, each for a week or so), but we werent faithful. i knew it and she knew it, we just didnt talk about it.
  23. if this question is in regards to bus girl, im going to stab you. it doesnt make it hard, but it does make it somewhat more difficult than if they lived say, 5 minutes away.
  24. another 'if i win the lotto' car; corvette. 6.2l. supercharged. 640HP. 'nough said? uber f**king cool for a hyundai. available with a 2L turbo 4 or a 3.8L 6.
