Im looking for a Injector resistor box aswell anyone got one forsale? Im got redtop RB20 but silvertop ECU so its runin rich as bcoz of different impendance if i put a resistor box in will that solve my probs? I got low impendance injectors with high impendance ECU? Thanks Damo!!

Hey NewKleer thanks alot for your help, yeh i wouldnt have check engine light coz i did a engine conversion into another car, ive found the wires: CLK= pin 31 TX= pin 22 RX= pin 21 12V IGN= pin 45 ground= make up new one Does that sound all right? just need the consult plug from either R32 or N14 pulsar. IM after set of RB20DET silvertop injectors? R32 AAC valve? Consult plug with bit of wire left on so i can join into my ECU? Need them ASAP. Thanks!

Sorry for late reply, so all i need to do is wiring up a consult plug to CLK, RX, TX, ground and ign 12v from pinout. Whats the check wire??? I wana give this a try, where could i get a consult plug from??? Thanks alot for your help!!!

I need some info on the difference from RB20DET redtop injectors and Silvertop injectors? Think the problem with it running rich is the ECU is telling the ijectors to pump to much fuel in. Now i have Redtop injectors with a i guess silvertop ECU Coz putn a RB25 ECU in stopd it running rich. The RB25 had a less ohm rated injector pulse or sumthnig from ECU But Silvertop RB20 must have a high pulse or sumthnig so its making my injectors pump 2 much. So my ECU could b stuff or it could be just the redtop injectors dont work with silvertop ECU? Ne info on Redtop injectors compared to silvertop would great. Thanks Damo!!!

Hey, Yeh im still running 0.8s. Everythnig seems ok tho vac hoses, cooler pipes ect? cant seem to see anything crackered, ripped, cant feel or hear any leaks, it accelerates now, goes better then b4 atfer doing valve timing, dunno why they woulda been out so much? hopfuly my Dyno shop will be able to help me out with it 2moro?

Hey, I check my Valve timing today and there’s alignment marks on the cams and back cover and the inlet cam was 2 teeth out and exhaust 1 tooth out? Is this a problem? I reset the cams so both alignment marks lined up with the alignment marks on back cover. This made car run better and less black smoke but still rich, drove better but and let me boost more but still missing on boost, changed coils so don’t thing they r causing it? What do you people think? Thanks Damo!!!

Hey , Ive just done a RB20 conversion in my VL and its running rich as pumpin black smoke out idleing all the time, i cleaned my O2 sensor with degreaser and put it bak it and no smoke and run great for good 5 mins but the startd running ruff and pumping out smoke. I tryd washing it agian but didnt do nething. Also on boost at 3500-4000 i start miss fired/ backfiring but i rekn thats a coil problem? So i was wondering if any1 in Adelaide would have spare coils and a ECU i could borrow to see if mine i stuffed? il pay you for letting me borrow the stuff, money or beers whateva u want. Dont no whatelse to do? Need to find out whats going on with car b4 weekend. Thanks Damo!!!

dont even turn the screw on ECU just flashs all the time. It doesnt do diffferent flashs just keeps flashing non stop smae speed same flash if u no what i mean?

I cant get the codes or anythnig just keeps flashing red light as same pass? I dont have a consult connection coz ive only used a engine loom? Cars running like crap, rich as blowning black smoke, backfires n doesnt wanna rev over 3500 but if u baby it over 3500 it sorta goes betta? It will cost heaps 4 me to give it 2 a dynoshop 2 fix, what do you think i should do????

When I got my car running or just ignition on theres a ref l.e.d on my computer just keeps flashing and doesn’t stop, is this normal or not? What might be causing it? How do you run the self diagnosis on the RB20 ECU? My cars running heapz rich and miss' at 3500-4000, coils dont seem to be crackd tho, but I havent had a good look yet? Any ideas, Im going for a dyno tune soon just wantd 2 get it running bet betta b4 i take it there? Thanks Damo!!!

hey mate yeh sorry abou tthe pic i found it on another site? The problem i have is ive installed a RB20det into a VL and only used the engine wiring loom, how would i go wiring the consult plug into the ECU wiring loom?

Yeh but i dont have the engine in a R32 so my fuse box is in engine bay? Is there a seprate loom that goes to fuse box? Ive got RB20DET engine with R32 Engine loom and ecu? Can you spot where the plug could/should be from this crapy pic? Thanks Damo

How hard will it be to make the cable to hook up your laptop? Would any body have a parts list? Ive installed a RB20 into another car with only the Engine wiring loom will i find the Consult conneter on the ECU wiring loom? if not how to you hard wire 1 in? Thanks Damo!!!

Thanks alot guys. Ive been thinking AFM. Im looking for another one but dont wanna buy a 2nd hand 1 agian coz dont no if thats stuffed or not? Can you test the AFM , CAS to see if they are stuffed? When i start car i have the red led flashing non stop, I no theres problems but just cant find em and whatd it running bit betta b4 i get it tuned props? Any ideas, not realy to sure on how to self dignos it? How do u do it coz write on comps in jap? Also the idel goes up n down slightly and nearly stalls hwne you stab off throttle on idel, when you disconnect the ACC vavle the idel doesnt change like the RB30 does? Could this be stuffing engine up aswel Thanks Damo!!!

Hi my RB20DET is running very rich, black smoke, missing firing slow revving when driving goes okish, but tryn to put foot init wont rev over 2500 much heapz of backfiring. on boost it pops n u hear bov goin off with out letn off small back fires? How can I find out if AFM, O2 sensor ECT is stuffd? What else could course this problem? Near the end of my drive it startd going betta stil backfiring but bit more power but still smoking? White smokes turbo smoke tho, coz with the other turbo it neva white smoked, just major black rick smoke?

The engines prbly not tuned very good at mo, tryn to get it finished b4 gettn a good tune. When you rev it smoke tunes black then starts white back on idle?

Hi i have a RB20DET and i have just changed my turbo and as soon as i start the car it seems like theres white smoke coming out and it doesnt go away after driving ect? Also have oil in the turbo intake where airfilter is its all coverd in oil??? Ive neva driving a RB20DET b4 but it feels so gutless comes onto boost but doesnt do nethnig? Just put a RB20DET into a VL. ALso i have a custom 4in dump to 3in to cat, Would the 4in b to big, or shouldnt this be a problem? How hard should the RB20 got, how noticeable should it been on boost?
