    Money Changer

Thanks for the suggestion M. It's actually worth a couple of thousand AUD . That's why i would rather have a currency exchange instead of keeping them. If it was worth about AUD$100, i'll definitely keep them. Will try the Swanston St joint and see if they will give me decent rates. Thanks guys.

    Money Changer

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I'm actually changing a foreign currency back into Australian dollars. Would it be wise to change them back or just keep them for now?

    Money Changer

Hi guys, I am looking for a money changer to change some foreign currencies. I'm aware that a few of you travel a fair bit for business/work overseas. Can anybody recommend me a money changer with decent rates? Or will i just be better off going to the bank directly? Prefer places not too far from the city please. Thanks
  4. I guess the topic should not be Tommy Kaira R34 gtr then. I do agree that the wing is quite ugly however, this is still not a genuine Tommy Kaira car.
  5. ONLY $200?? Man, that's alot of money already. You should be contented with that . Maybe use that money for a new air filter
  6. Wishing all the VICTORIAN SAU Chinese forum members a Happy and Prosperous Chinese New Year
  7. Thanks for answering my question. So this is an early 1996 model as i believe the series 1 R33 gtr starts from 1995? And series 2 starts in 1996 too. Nice clean car though, am actually looking for one for my cousin .
  8. Just a quick question, i believe that a 1996 R33 GTR comes with a different steering wheel and also a passenger air bag? Correct me if i'm wrong there.
  9. Was cruising in the rain along Footscray Road just now during lunch hour. Saw this white R33 gtst with green P plates beating a red light through the junction. The lights were red even before he crossed the white line on the near side. Really disappointed with some of the younger skyline drivers. An accident is just waiting to happen with that sort of driving attitude.
  10. Maybe the police should start taking pictures of these hoons with their cars and posting them on the newspapers or online so they will feel embarrassed for their actions. However, i'm sure there's some privacy law that this can't be done..
  11. Item: 60mm Dual A-Pillar Gauge Pods Condition: New Colour: Black Location: Melbourne CBD Price: $20 Item is similar to the one in this picture. Comments: I was cleaning up my old car stock and came across this. The item is suitable for R33 GTRs and maybe the GTSTs too. I prefer a local buyer so we can trial fit onto the car.
  12. Going to miss this car Matt. Brings back memories of those days when you took me for a spin in it. Moving on to Euro? The engine, interior, exterior of the car has been taken care of by the best products available. Will no doubt be a good buy for any potential buyer.
  13. Correct me if i'm wrong, but i think if you spend just a couple of hundred dollars more than what you pay for an exedy or whatever organic twin plate clutch, you can/should get a Nismo Coppermix Twin plate clutch. It has a stock clutch pedal feel and it makes your car very drivable whilst being able to hold whatever power you might have in future if you get bored of your current power again. As a daily driver, you wouldn't want to be stuck in a jam with a heavy twin plate clutch.
  14. I owned skylines and evos before as well. I had an Evo 9 which had 240kw at all 4 wheels. As a daily driver, it is quite a 'raw' car if you know what i mean. The interior is all plastics and in terms of worksmanship, i think an R34 interior is way better. Turning circle for the evo is a bitch. So if you want to do a U-turn in the city, be prepared to take up the whole road. IMO, the evo is not good as a daily driver although many people do use them as their daily. As a weekend/track car, go for the evo. With minimal mods, it will be flying around the track.
  15. True to that Matt. A friend of mine has a '03 M3. His SMG is not engaging properly in 4th gear. Apparently, it is something to do with the SMG hydraulics. The unit itself is gonna cost him about $2k + labour. If you are choosing between the E36 and E46, i'd choose the latter. Simple reason is the fact that it is a newer car and if you want to use it as a daily, you would want something that won't break down on you. If you want to super charge the car, factor in costs involve for a cooler, bigger brakes, change your diffs, bigger injectors..as i said before, be prepared to spend much more than modifying a Jap import.. IMO, i'll get an airbox, exhaust and a tune and it'll be smick
  16. No point of you spending $40-$50k to buy an M3 with 100,000kms+ and it's 8 years or older. These are the M3s that will cause you more headaches down the road. I wouldn't buy an M3 if i only have $40-$50k to spend.. Another thing you must realise is that, modifying a Euro is more expensive than modifying the jap cars. An exhaust for my VW R36 cost $3k just from the cat-back. So you can imagine how much you'll be paying for a BMW..If you want to have a smick modified M3, budget another $10k-20k on top of the price of the car. My 2c.
  17. Totally agree. West Footscray to be exact. At the back of the shop to be even more exact. As everybody had said, if you want a good job, be prepared to spend more money. If you are willing to pay little for an average job, be prepared for disappointments when you get your car back. Micolour seems to be a place everyone recommends on SAU. You can also try Gals Panels at tullamarine OR if you can come up with more cash and if you want a perfect job, ring up File Finish http://www.filefinish.com.au/ . They do aston martins, bmws and lots of euro cars but i've seen gtrs in the shop before as well. It's entirely up to how deep your pocket is.
  18. Hmm..weren't you selling your car on the forums? I hope you find your car quick! No offence but if you were selling your car on carsales as well, getting insurance to cover for the stolen car is going to be a little tricky as they will suspect foul play there. Happened to a friend of mine who was selling his car for a few months and he reported his car got stolen. The insurance company had people investigating him from head to toe before he finally got his money back. Everything from phone records to internet ads will be checked. Hope you'll find your car soon!

    My New Car!

Nice car. Am actually thinking of changing to this from my VW R36. How's the power like on the A4?
  20. Yeah chicks dig small little white dogs! Too bad you didn't PM me earlier before that guy who played me out. Shame on him seriously if he is reading this.
  21. Haha! So sweet of you Gerald... Anyway, the supposedly good samaritan from the forums PLAYED ME OUT!!.. Everything was pretty much confirmed until yesterday when he texted me to tell me he decided to charge me $100 a week for his services! On top of that i have to provide food and everything.. So in total it will cost me about $1000 for him to take care of my dog. Fair enough people might say nobody does things for free now. I was actually thinking of giving him a couple of hundred dollars in the first place. The dog hotel i've looked up quoted me $1,200ish for the duration and they'll provide medication, food and grooming every fortnight. I replied and negotiated a lesser amount and heard nothing from him again. Ain't going to come out with his name or nick name here but i'm really disappointed at how this turned out, it actually tells you about the character of this individual. Not sure if in the future should anyone actually have any business trading on the forums with this person. Anyway i have found a friend of mine who can take care of my dog . Thanks all again for your attention and kind offers!
  22. Many thanks to everyone that PM'ed me. I have found someone who kindly offered to look after my dog while i'm away. Thanks also to Michelle who offered some interstate help . Once again i have to say how fortunate i am to be part of the SAU community. Thanks all!
  23. I'd recommend you to call up National Windscreens. O'Brien did a terrible job on my windscreen replacement. 2 weeks after replacing my windscreen, the rear view mirror FELL OFF. Don't think i need to explain more. National Windscreens will come to your house to replace the windscreen just like O'Briens.
