  1. i dont think u will get a warning you'll either get told to go epa for test or nothing.. but i doubt it will be nothing. Almost any place can tuck ur exhaust i went to flexifit in hoppers crossing but yeh try another shop it can always go higher :)

yeh itll be the breather filter thats got ya stuffed..

epa wont do u for the hole in the chassis the cops will do u for that.

I got a warning, telling me to put part back to standard (Cooler or airbox), maybe because it was my first EPA, who knows, they were probably swamped with cars to test.

  2. I'm surprised about them taking photographs of engine bays unless it's for evidence of offence which EPA is not.

I just worked traffic car shift tonight and very surprised at how well everyone was behaving. Only gave out 10 fines with the worst offender an unlicensed driver doing 40+km/h over speed limit but she was running late to her shift at the Brothel.

The police officer who took the photo of my engine bay told me that the picture is for the EPA, if the EPA see something in the pic that they want to see in person, they will send me a letter to go to Macleod.

  3. It sure does, if there were visible modifications in your engine bay, (Top mount turbo, boost controller etc) you will be called in, if it was just a Pod filter and you have a cooler, you will most likely get a letter from the EPA warning you to just put it back to standard.

If you do get done for heaps of modifications and you bring it in all converted back to standard, they will tell you this is not the same car, they circle everything they expect to see from the photo the police took of your engine bay.

    Good luck anyway.

  4. btw, does anyone know the legislation surrounding pillar mounted gauges?

    Interested to find it.

i had two gauge holder got pulled over they told me its a defect if the gauge is above the steering wheel hieght.. having said that the guy let me go and just said make sure i move them

It's silly to target gauge pillars when a high % of cars out there today have Navigators stuck onto windscreens and cops don't do nothing about them.

  5. That police officer Megan, is she allowed to push the car down to check the suspension? I would hate for someone to do that to my car, i wouldn't even do that.

Imagine you had a show car respray on your car and just washed it and some police officer believes they are suspension testing experts and does that to your car.

By the way, i noticed the XR seats when she gets out of the car but jumps in a commodore? anyone else notice that?

  6. Hi guys,

I had an interesting experience earlier in the week, when I was pulled over as part of a "random check".

My girlfriend was driving the car at the time, he breath tested her and checked her licence etc. All good. When he found out it was my car he stated asking me what modifications had been done etc, I replied and told him that for the most part it was pretty stock.

My car looks very stock from the outside, no rims or bodykits etc, it hardly ever gets any attention. However, it does have an exhaust and a front mount which are visible externally. He asks me to pop the bonnet, which I did. The officer then noted the pod filter and boost controller in the engine bay.

In all fairness, the officer was a pretty good bloke, he knew what he was looking for and went about his business in a pretty professional manner. At the end of the day I was in the wrong for having those modifications. The officer didn't defect me or anything, however, he did tell me that I should expect a letter in the mail from the EPA in the future. Naturally, the officer was doing his job, and I obviously deserve this.

However, reflecting back on the experience, i'm curious to know under what circumstances an officer can look under the hood of your car. I've been told that the officer must have "reasonable suspicion" that there is something illegal going on, but looking back, I'm hard pressed to know what suspicions could have been formed in the officer's head, particularly given that my car looks so stock.

Obviously the common sense approach is to comply with the officer's request and be polite etc, however, at the same time, i think it is important to know your rights. So, my question is:

Under what circumstances an officer can look under the hood of your car?

    Thanks guys, happy motoring.

If they took a picture of your engine bay, you will 100% receive a letter from the EPA, the EPA will either give you a warning to put it back to it's original state (airbox) or in an extreme case, they will want to see the car in person (Macleod).

  7. I messaged the seller to find out if it comes with a hand controller, sadly it does not, it clearly states in the add what is for sale,

This listing is for one Brand New APEXi Power FC ECU for the Nissan ECR33 Skyline, with RB25DET engine.

ECU only, people will buy the product and will have no basis to complain after when the item does not arrive with a hand controller as the add does not state it does, it has happened to me before, the picture is used by others on ebay selling power fc's.

$1,300 for a brand new ECU is normal price, add hand controller price $300-$400 and the price sounds normal $1,600-$1,700.

  9. 1: There is a country for Albanians, it is called 'Albania' there is no such thing as 'Kosovans' Kosovans aren't a race, a culture or a nation state.. Kosovo, or the idea of Kosovo being a country is a fiction that ignorant and misguided are easily fooled by... Example = Palestine. It is a convenient fiction of political prostitution and left-wing media that grabs headlines and gets blatantly ill-informed people talking... It is good publicity and little else...

2: Well the goat lovers, Egyptian Mamlukes/Ayyubid Caiphate of Cairo and Safavid Persia pretty much split the power of the M.E. between them for the bulk of the late middle ages (1200's to the 1500's), as you've said. Now the British under Gen. Allenby conquered Palestine, Syria and Mesopotamia/Al Jazirah (modern Iraq) by the end of WWI. After that, the M.E (minus Syria, which was French) was administered by 'protectorates' under the banner of the British Empire. T. E. Lawrence (Lawrence of Arabia) advised the British that they should establish an 'Arab Federation', covering the lionshare of Syria, Iraq, Jordan Lebanon and Egypt.. Had this 'Arab Federation' had been established, then there would've been plenty of room for establishing a 'home for the Jews in Palestine' without greatly displacing or dinenfranchising Arabs.

The boarders that were setup by firstly the Ottomans, and largely retained by the British were merely for administerial, they were not established along important matters of religion, ethnicity, culture or relevent geography...

There is a very good reason why Catholic Croats and Othodox Serbs resent Bosnia. It might have to do with the resistance against the Ottomans, and basically allowing the goat lovers a clear path to lay siege to Vienna on two occasions.. Whilst the Greeks, Serbs, Croats and Bulgarians constantly thwarted The land of goat sphincter rings efforts, the Bosians basically tuck tailed, converted to Islam and reaped the benefits of being lap-dogs of the Ottoman Sultan.. Not something to be at all proud of really... Not only that, the Bosnians and Albanians regularly served in the armies of the Ottomans due to their swift conversion.. Another cause for resentment, you may argue that 'it was a long time ago', but the implications in Balkans impact us to this very day, which is why it upsets a great many people..

I hate the Russians, but I'm mighty chuffed they are sticking with Serbia with this one.. I'll be happy to see them roll the T72's into Pristina tbh...

Russia is always against everything the West hatches up, wouldn't be suprised if Serbia now ditches their EU ambition's and join's Russia and Co, they're already half way there.

  10. During the population exchange that occured after the Graeco/The land of goat sphincter rings war of 1921/22, Christian goat lovers were not the only people to be force into mainland Greece, there were some 1.5 million Ionian and Pontine Greeks that were still within Anatolia by the time the war had finished... The fact there were Greeks living outsied of Greece is what constantly drove the Greeks into conflict with the Ottoman Empire prior to WWI, it was the western powers that realised it was this motivation of Greece to 'liberate all Greeks living beyond Greek territory' that prevented a long lasting peace between the Greek and The land of goat sphincter rings peoples. That is why they had the population exchange, failure to do this with Poles, Germans, Hungarians and Russians in eastern Europe after WWI was one of the major reasons that WWII started, which there were upward of 4 million 'Volksdeutsche' living outside of Germany. Time and time again, history has proven that the 'liberation' of fellow bretheren has been enough of a 'casus belli' for a nation to declare war upon another...

As for the Macedonian Greeks... They used near identical alphabet in classical times, were as now, Macedonians used Slavic Cyrillic whilst Greeks use the 'Modern' Greek alphabet. Macedonians in classical times spoke a 'semi-vulgar' form of ancient Greek, compared to Macedonians now who speak a Slavic language, in Ancient times the Macedonians used Greek for the names of their people, their cities and for geophraphical reference. By the 4th century the whole of Macedonia was mostly Atticised (Attica being the city of Athens and the surrounding region). Many 'proper' Greeks saw the Macedonians as barbarians, however Macedonians saw themselves as 'unquestionably' Hellenic, for many centuries the Kings of Macedonia considered themselves of Hellenic decent.

First thing's first, no chance 1.5 million pontic greek's in the sphincter of the universe, they were a byzantine population who were forced in the population exchanges from the sphincter of the universe.

The German historian who was present during Greece's first creation as a nation and after the early years in the creation of Greece proved that the ancient Greek races had totally vanished from the lands where they had once dwelled. The historian also proves that these people underwent a natural extermination and end of the 10th century, natural extermination was a result of nomadic peoples who migrated southwards into what is present day Greece inhabited by Slavs, Albanians, Vlachs, Jews, Roma and Greek speaking Byzantine populations that had moved there from Asia Minor.

Regarding the topic of todays language you call modern Greek (Koine), that language is a taught language that only a small number of people spoke during the 18th century, it is a taught language as opposed to the Macedonian language which is a peoples language. The modern Greek language is what the Byzantine administration taught its new populations throught the Orthodox church.

Marco are you Greek? are you aware that in Greece, goat lovers, Macedonians, Gypsies, Albanians etc have Greek surnames and are systematically declared as Greeks who are denied their basic human rights in regards to self determination of their identity? This has been going on in Agean Macedonia since 1913 and during the reign of Metaxas reached a new high where everything was renamed in stages, not just surnames and names but also cities, villages, rivers, mountains and so on (the nation building policy).
