Hi, (Car- R33 rb25det s2 running gear) I have recently acquired a VG30 BB 450hp turbo. I want to put this on my standard rb25det, mainly because of the fuel consumption, it always been on boost with the auto when im driving. I know this turbo will bolt straight up, though my questions are 1. I want to run stock boost, what is the stock boost on this turbo, I dont know what wastegate/actuator is on it? 2. If running for eg 10psi, will I run into any problems with the ecu like fuel cut, boost cut etc.? 3. What power level can I expect with front mount intercooler, exhaust with split dump and cold air induction. ? 4. By reading posts within the forum, i think im going to run rich, which will inturn defeat the purpose of going the bigger (laggier) turbo as my fuel economy wont be good. I plan on getting a SAFC be it the 1st one or second. Will this fix these issues.? 5. Are there any high priority procautionaries I should be taking with this bigger turbo? Overall my plan is to put this bigger turbo on, and been on a budget I am only after the necessary things to run it. I already have a front mount intercooler and exhaust. I will eventually buy a safc and get it tuned though in the mean time, what I want to know will it be safe to drive. I thank you in advance for your replys Cheers

Hi, Off the lights a highly powered gtr would beat a bike. Why? my bf says its to hard to launch a bike off the line unless you are really experienced. The average rider would not risk it in launching the bike off the line as it could overturn. And a gtr dial in 7000rpm and he's gone... Different story if its a rolling start on a highway or something. Im pretty sure a hayabusa and a 9sec gtr rolling along the highway the hayabusa would get it or r1 or zx12r and so on. My father in laws hayabusa kills the powerr to weight ratio of a 900hp gtr if it was say 1300kgs. Just my 2c , oh and my bf's.

With the new m7 far west is a great option and the city is easily accessible in 1 hour and if your looking for something just a little quieter the parramatta area, its great. just look up www.realestate.com.au look in sydneys west (outer i think) You could get a 10-20yr old 600sqm 3-4bedroom house for aorund $300,000. cheers

Hi, I would also like to know this, and with what ecu they are running and what mods they have done to the auto. Are you running this much power, is this the reason for the question. Id say it would be a high 11 sec car if it was set up correctly with a hi-stall converter and decent tyres and suspension. Sorry I was of no help, its just I have an auto r33 rb25det in build. Last week was pretty packed with cars, and it was awesome to see a few runs later that night until someone yelled cops and whoppee dee doo everyone is gone, not sure if there were cops anyway..... and i can tell u im not sure but it was likely to be over 300 cars... This meet up will be awesome to see i might be down there then wouldnt mind seeing the lines....and all other kinds...
