  1. Well, it doesn't look as though people really did get suckered into it. Read the bidding history: User ID: No bids have been placed.
  2. Well, I'm glad it wasn't too bad for you. For a tough judge, you're extremely lucky you still have your licence! But yeah, if I'm driving behind someone going 40 on my way to work, I'll wave at you
  3. But if you allow the people trying to enter the roundabout priority, then every 2 or three seconds all of the cars in the roundabout would be forced to stop. This would definitely cause far more accidents than making people wait an extra 10 seconds to get into it. The roundabout around the Arc de Triomphe in Paris is my favorite. They don't even have any lanes drawn in!
  4. I saw a girl with a bumper-sticker version of this picture quite a while back. Still makes me giggle:
  5. You can't tell us all this and not have gotten pictures
  6. Hahaha that is awesome, for sure!
  7. Over which sea? Cars in Europe are quite different from those in North America. I'm going to assume European though, since North Americans dont' have any small cars
  8. Wow, nice! Hope it affects more than just queensland though
  9. As much as this is true in theory, in reality the chances of anybody in the justice system going against a cops word and taking yours (especially if you're young and male) is extremely slim. It's a fault of our justice system, and it's simply how it works. A good lawyer does have an ok chance, but I still wouldn't bet on it.
  10. Well the point of condoning street racing is that it's not only illegal but it's dangerous. One wrong turn and you could swerve into the car of the young mother with 2 kids in the back, or hit the man trying to cross the street at the crosswalk. There's a reason street racing is illegal, and it should be condoned.
  11. At $406 I'd definitely read the fine print closely. You want to make sure you actually are adequately covered!
  12. I saw one being advertised a few days ago in the local paper for about $2200, though I think that's quite steep, and I wouldn't go that high myself.
  13. No problems for me either, downloading on Firefox. I have had the odd file just not download, and give me a 1kb file too. I just cancel and re-download and it normally works fine afterwards. EDIT: And thanks very much for the video, it's really good!
  14. Plus I guess there's always the stereotypes, kids would be more likely to get in trouble with a turbo car since it'd be seen as rebelious and irresponsible.
  15. Lots of my friends simply have the car under their parents names, since it is really expensive for young people, especially young men, to get insurance. Then again, some are loaded, too!
  16. Yeah, this is what I wonder too. How is someone who's so obviously a terrible driver still allowed on the streets? The chances of him killing someone some day are huge!
  17. Well you guys can argue over whether it's accurate or not, but nonetheless the video was entertaining!
  18. Worse than any road in Australia is France and Italy. It's completely insane there, people drive down alleys at 80km/hr with barely any space on either side of their cars.
  19. Heh, that incentive for school thing is a good idea! Though the forum does seem kinda split on this topic.
  20. Yikes! Not being from Sydney I can't help you as far as recommending places, but do you know anything about how/who broke it?
  21. I know many people whose parents bought them a new car on their 16th birthdays, since they could get their license. Personally, I would never do this as my kids could drive my car, or earn their own. I wanted to know if I was alone in this though.
  22. You never know, he might enjoy that too! :
  23. Just a suggestion, but the way you seem so worried about the state of your car, unless you know exactly what you're doing, it might not be a good idea to try something so risky on your own car. Well, that's just me at least. I don't trust myself to do important things I've never done. Gotta practice it all first.
  24. A carwash will do good to it, as the extra power from the water will probably get rid of it.
