awesome, going to go with this method. you would be crazy to go external if this is so simple.

anybody else doing this mod? im going to give it ago just wondering if there are any others out there who went with this method.

i have this head at my place right now. it was starved of oil.. has some nasty grooves and the caps for the cams are far worse. imo cams are rooted too ima again

takes only a small peice ..even smaller then the holes in the mesh to fark up turbo, score a bore, whateva not sayin it did was just a thought for a possible buyer thats why i said its POSSIBLE....i should know i had a rb25 turbo destroyed becuase something got through the mesh even with an air filter., and like the seller said his air filter was up the road.... .....do a search you will find my thred on it...... im done with this thread good luck to the seller

have a look at the intake from what i can see its like a bell mouth than AFM i cant see any filter....ive seen air boxes crushed in accdents and plastic enterd the intake (after the filter)... ...i dont realy care buy the motor only sugested it to help out........

sorry to add ths but if the engine was running when the damage occured its quite possible it has ingested some plastic/metal ......looking at the engine bay pics.....just a thought....

yeah its suxs.... i got a list of maybes to cross off exhaust is 1st bov leak 2nd boost leak else where. doing exhaust today then dyno run it see what changes....

hi fastrotor so you had no gains....dam...did you dyno it to check results or could you notice no gains driving around...i guess untill you have 0 back pressure still going to be a problem

hey thought i might post up the results of the back pressure test with the boost gauge on the dump pipe... i have 5-6 psi back pressure..it really suprised me how much! will post the result after i fix the restricting cat......

might like to add that ive seen cars sitting for a shorter period that had rusted cams ...something to consider...
