I still love the look of these: https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/details/2002-Peugeot-406-Auto/SSE-AD-5719711?pageSource=details&id=SSE-AD-5719711
Always held their price compared to other french cars.Probably as they still one of the most elegant designs to date

My reading had the 1st gen new mini were ok as using such an old design
2ng gen on bmw had to work out fwd layout and it took some effort
mil Peugeot 78k on it just out of warranty and everything in breaking. Turbo went the other day
she is replacing prior to next service as it just too expensive. Prob going a Toyota this time

I looked at one of those kits for Katie’s mazda3
there are are a whole bunch of bad reviews (well for the 3s anyhow assuming kit is similar)
on on a side note in a Kia opioid currently so vip it has a quilted leather head liner stumped comfy back seat as well

So my mate a few years ago was sales at vw
he he said those two charges 1.4s they were replacing under warranty at his dealer at one a week only due to the slow supply of new ones arriving
so yeah there are still horror cases out there

after the run my parents had with their VW, 2 gear boxes and 1 engine replaced in 6 months, just not going near anything with a VW badge on it.

Polo is a golf..well in my eyes.
Fiesta eco just saw are 5 door only.. from previous experience I fit in the 3 door but not the 5 door.(that was the previous generation tho)
work and home car is safe, it's the whole carparks that I need to use now and then. -
So I like forced induction as they easier to play with, I don't want a stock car, never had one never plan to.
they also give me the great fuel economy on freeway then lots of go in corners.
(Think i used to get 6's/100km from the S14 when dailing it then still came to the track and had a blast)
Been driving a NA for way too long and even one that has what 180kw just does not feel the same as a turbo rush, and with a 4L and 4 speed gear box..fuel economy is....average.
so small zippy manual forced induction under 10K and not a golf.

So to translate
the 3 suggestions are
Fiesta st
golf r
fiat 124
all of which are past what I am looking to spend plus I only fit in one
better results than I expected on here
-
too slow and too...yeah
add 10 k on budget and I can get na G3 Sti or a 135i
but got better things to spend my bonus on
-
but golf......i'll take the wrx over one any day.
-
no way in hell am I driving a golf
-

Personally, any money dropped on a mini/BMW/audi I would have to be prepared to lose 50% of purchase price. That applies to new or secondhand lol
Considering I have never sold a car...I assume everything I buy is 100% lost.

So jumping back on the FWD topic.
From friends experiences, I would not touch anything french.Golfs...well are for golf drivers.
I did look at a HSV VRX, however put off by the whole HSVness of it.
XR5's every one I looked at does not have Cruise.
Same for EP3 civic the only honda I would own.
Fiesta St is out of the range I want to spend if I'm going that high I will go some more and get a BMW 135i
The only one that I would seriously contemplate is the R53 Mini Cooper S always liked them.

Not touching a 75 Crown.
I'm working on a seller for a early 70's Jap car as it is for weekends,Will be slow but it's factory pink so that makes up for it.
100% original, manual, 1 owner, genuine Barn Find.

honestly it was my first though as well, only as I know 34's have gone up too much.
however I need to be able to leave it at train stations/airport parking.
and we all know how long that lasts.

So thoughts on a cheap daily
the ute is just using too much fuel and is impossible to park inner city
im thinking 10k but needs to be a bit fun
so turbo manual and not fwd
but it still has to have cruise as my commute to work does involve 100km of freeway
cannot be thief bait else would have got an r or s chassis
im leaning towards a g4 liberty gt or a g3 wrx
what are some other thoughts
(sorry to ask car question)

hey I may look pregnant...
actually I'm doing an opposite pregnancy..the belly has been slowly shrinking rather than growing. -

Wow thats insane, a pack a day smoker = $16,000 a year
I guess this is why people don't smoke much these days? not the whole 'unhealthy' thing, more the cost?
yeah and it seems to be working.
the few friends I have who still smoke are also the ones on the lowest income.
All are trying to give up, so the idea works but I was still shocked.
2018 AGM & 2019 SAU-VIC Committee Elections
in Victoria
Posted
we do have a committee that includes that, we try and have Merch, Events, general plus a Motorsport committee
However being that this is a SAUVic thing and that Prank is not an SAUVic member he would not be eligible for this role.
All nominations have to be Current SAUVic financial members.
