  1. half cage can be egnineers not a full cage they changed that a few years ago. tyres 2 inches bigger(wider or higher) ok. fuel system is ok I think brakes have to be engineered engine swap for a engine that was avalbiel in that car. eg no RB25 in a S-Chassis no ECU mods unless you do full EPA tests.
  2. was probally blocked due to it being worried about all your vulnerable systems.
  3. actually a number of our products have insurance on them. but still curious as to how they got his details.
  4. till work gave me a free subscription for home usage I used the free ones as well. nothing wrong with them that's for sure. but like all AV the important thing is how often you update them. I had mine set to check updates every 6 hours. default was every day at 2 am and my PC was usually off then so I could fall behind.
  5. nah they are criminals with class. Carders are the lowest of low as no skill, buy some credit card numbers online, code onto a blank card buy shit. any idiot can do it. phishers for bank details next lowest as it it take is some-one to click a dodgy link in an email. there is a definite rank of computer criminals.
  6. yeah ignore the risk thing. basically it does not accept competitor AV and tries to sell you ours. (hey we gotta get paid somehow) but the scan works well as a secondary check if your not sure.
  7. easy enough to get around CVV if you feel like it they just code your number onto a blank card and use it in the country that still accepts signatures. AU is better now it is all swipe and pin but most places in the world are not like that. remember most fraudulent transactions happen OS not AU as then harder to prosecute. ie don't shit in your own backyard.
  8. hmm if they got your netbank details they can see your credit card number...this should be locked as well. keep an eye out for dodgy transactions on this as it will now be up for sale from a Russian site. as soon as your main account fixed I would get these changed as well. else 6 months later going through this shit again
  9. yeah they will lock your accounts, you will need to go into bank with ID to get cash now. oh and expect all new account details as well, so any Direct deposits/payments will all need to be changed.
  10. there are but you need a business account to do it, (basically faking a Direct debit auth from) so it's basically unworkable for fraudsters. in the case of not having ability to create sub accounts. they will do the paypal authorization against your main account and hope that you don't spot the few cents transaction they do to authorize the account then slam it out ASAP and try and get the cash out prior to you noticing. this will then get transferred to a 3rd party account. this is the sucker that is going to get reamed by this. this is a "innocent" read stupid person who has replied to one of those posters on a power pole saying make money fast working from home. they claim to be a imported that has not got a business account in AU yet. what your job is to take in payments from our suppliers, keep 10% then forward the rest to our corporate HQ via western union, so the money goes overseas and cannot be traced. thus the audit trail ends at some-one who did not commit the fraud and was used as a third party. if it is the mortgage broker then you could run into an issue. as you freely gave the details up to the mortgage broker (ie by entering the details on their computer) you have technically indemnified the bank. you would then need to chase up the mortgage broker for compensation. that also said in 99.9% of cases the banks just deal with it internally anyhow as it easier for them and they allocate certain $$ for this anyhow.
  11. if they could not open a new account they would have just gutted your main one as fast as they could..seen it plenty of times so they still would have got the cash. SO lets say it turns out that the key logger is on your computer as your Antivius was not up to date or not installed.. who should pay for this the bank or the end user? I would recommend running a online scan of your system as some software now patches the antivirus stuff if it is not upto date to add itself as safe. https://security.symantec.com/nss/getnss.aspx?
  12. so for club reg. it's basically same as normal reg now. Full RWC on rego. Enginners certs for any modifications. if there are modifications you will be issued with a M plate stating you ahve modifications (cop bait in itself) The club in question must photograph the car when it is regoed. If the club at any point thinks modifications have been made to the car they are to report that to vic roads who will ask you to get it checked. you can still be EPA'ed and defected on the new club rego, basically people were abusing the system and regoing unsafe cars on club rego as some clubs would take $$ for a club rego and ruined it for every-one.
  13. so this is dependent on how they got access to your account. eg making it simple if you gave a friend the login as you weree away from a computer and they did the dodgy, that's not the banks fault is it. they will do an investigatoiona nd work this out, don;t expect the cash back in a day or 2 it usually takes a couple weeks. re "hacking" a bank it does not happen. what happens is that they get access to your account usually by you logging into the bank from an un secured computer eg a communal pc at a internet cafe/work site that some-onme has put a trojan on. or more commonly your PC has been compromised (first thing is to run a good scan on that) this is why banks are moving to things like One Time Passowrds for banking log in: eg https://vip.symantec.com/ SO it's something you know, eg your password plus something you have (a phone with an app on it) thus 2 factor authentication rather than a simple password or more more important accounts (or dealing with governments) something like PKI using Hardware tokens: http://www.symantec.com/managed-pki-service/ https://www.verisign.com.au/gatekeeper/overview/ So the more of this that happens..the more work I get. And welcome to what I do for a living. Securing this sort of thing so it does not happen.
  14. do you discount his rent if your missus stays over?
  15. so he was in a small country town...drive a R32 and he would have no business. your "demo" car always had to be a ford or holden. he built up a honda city turbo for the wife that he would go out and wreck the locals in their V8's tho.,
  16. You mean like: only thing was the guy was a ex gibson motorsport mechanic..so some of the bits came from the race cars...just to make it faster.
  17. no no huge surprise that what I use for a work shoe..
  18. I don;t get why ppl play games when they could be living a life? want to shoot things join the army join a gun club go bush and find a deer want to race something go out on the track. do something that has a consequence at the end not a reset button.
  19. $500 gets you a lot of car when you don;t want to think about rego. want some turbo charged Euro fun http://www.carpoint.com.au/all-cars/private/details.aspx?R=SSE-AD-163018&Cr=4 maybe do it in some bogan style. http://www.carpoint.com.au/all-cars/private/details.aspx?R=SSE-AD-3278450&Cr=1 but for yourself...I think look long and hard in NSW for a lancer with a evo body kit or a droid body kit with as much autobarn blight as your can find..... then enjoy killing it. (ie find a car some-one advertising as an ex autosalon show car..)
  20. Dude your missus paying rent other ways.....just enjoy it. if you kick housemate out for her to move in then discuss rent (well do so b4) till then is it work pissing her off for a couple hundred a month?
  21. dremels sell out at bunnings.
  22. not ridiculous, just completely insensitive and rude.
  23. 10ish years ago but nothing current try and avoid networking where possible, that and databases
  24. now if only there were a system that would allow you to 100% confirm your identity online. maybe a trusted 3rd party that could confirm your details Face to Face then allow you to be issued with a cryptography secure key. just think of the benefits.
