  1. I meant to mean blocked off from any possible outside air....but cheers I will have a look at how to feed piping from the vent through to the bay but from memoery I could really see a passage..might rip of the whole bar to inspect closer...
  2. I recently installed dual pod filters replacing the standard air box... I noticed that the original airbox had a little air scoop to feed air in so I was just curious if anyone knew how to create a more direct air passage to the Pod filters... On a friends r33 I noticed he had an air scoop thing coming from the top of the radiater towards his air box. So is there some sought of part you can get similiar for an r32.... Reason for my concern is the the area where the pods are is fairly blocked off.... cheers
  3. I just recently got my car fasted and it came up with the model as being a gtr.17 I was told normally it will come up as GTR or GTR/V. Does anyone have a clue what type a model this could be???????? my vin is 6U9000BNR32306103

  7. yea i checked back there, but my headunit unfortunatly doesnt have a fuse back there.=[ i was really hoping it was that pulled it apart.
  8. oh sorry its an aftermarket headunit. i check all the fuses under the steering wheel and the engine bay all seem fine. ill test the power coming out of the cables when i get home. thanks alot for the info
  9. as the topic states my headunit turned on. it hasnt worked ever since my alternater died on me whilst driving. i took out the head unit to check the fuses in the back but there wernt any? so if anyone could help on where to look next it would be much appreciated. thanks in advance.

  12. Thanks for your responses... I;m actually not fussed about the spoooling noise....I just assumed that that noise was being generated through the air intake. And seeing as though I could not hear much I was worried that the cooler was not working optimally... The reason I was under the assumption that the spooling noise was generated from the cooler is because it sounds like air being sucked in....so apologies for my silly asssumption. cheers.
  13. My car is a 32 gtr...I have the stock intercooler still and have added apexi pod filters But for some reason i'm not sure if the cooler is working effectively or not. The reason I ask is because I cannot hear much spooling. Is there a way of checking if the cooler is working right or get it cleaned or something... Cheers

  17. Turns out I was just being a paranoid prickk. Since my first post, I have added a Nismo Catbck exhaust, purchased from this Forum. Took the car to the workshop to knock out any doubts or fears and the results were 185kw @ 9psi. Apparently that is pretty normal for a stock setup. Now I can concentrate on mods
  18. I am selling my r32gtr. I searched patiently to find this car. It was sold to me as a VSPEC but I dont think it is. A change of circumstance means that I can still afford to run and maintain the car but will not have enough anticipated funds to modify the car to what I originally intended. I am happy to keep and run the car stock standard but at the right price would prefer to sell and get a bike. This car is very smooth and drives very well. The only addition i have made is put a Nismo Catback ehaust on. Also has brembo brakes and 17" ssr evolution dish wheels Car has new head deck and 4 new pioneer 6" speakers.   19. thanks for all inputs... I hope it is a timing issue and I also suspect it to be a fuel issue. I dont want to touch the timing as I dont really know what i'm doing... Gonna book in for a dyno and get the timing looked at Once again, It doesnt bother me if it's not zippy because I intended on slowly building it up anyway. At the time of purchase I had a workshop check it. compression test it and they also sais the car drove well.. The compression was (i cant remember exact) around 160 with only 5 psi diffence between all cylinders.. The only faults they could point were some minor leaks in the engine which should have been fixed for the RWC.. It's just disappointing because I thought I had something I could start fresh on.... However all may just be well,, wait till the dyno results and someone a bit more GTR knowledge to look at it.
  20. thats a fair comment... Becuase the engine sounds and feels fine, or very good. And there feels to be a lot of potential with minor mods...but I thought I would feel a lot more torque with a stock set up, thats all.
  21. I just brought a stock standard r32 gtr. (and I mean stock standard ) I'm not sure how powerfull or restrictive they are with the stock parts, but I swear I felt a lot more kick in my old car ( old car = r32 gtst, fmic, exhaust, r33 turbo, hks opod filter ) Does this sound right?? I do feel that there is power, but I dont feel much pull. I heard that a stock gtr is supposed to be quick. In first gear it lags unitl about 3000 rpm, then a small kick, then at about 5000rpm it kind of levels out The revs continue to climb but only at a steady pace. The same thing happens in second. By third gear it feels quick but thats because it's already been an eternity and i'm already going over 1ookm. The engine sounds fine but just sounds lioke it's working very hard after 5000rpm for not much gain. ALL I'M REALLY CONCERNED ABOUT IS THAT HAVE I BLOWN A TURBO(S) OR IS THE STOCK SET UP VERY RESTRICTIVE. It doesnt bother me if it's not quick, but I just need to know if it's as quick as it can be for the current set up. Does anyone have any insight.
