    R33 Diff Problems

the motorkhana was for the msct at archers manour ,as for shiming the diff i have looked at the thread in sau drive line and transmissions ,the thing being i am still only fixing up an old lsd with aims of doing lots more motorkhanas and other events and dont want to be having to shim it up on a regular basis ,so i would like to maybe find something a bit stronger but still qiute drivable on the road not something that will spin me around as soon as it rains
  6. ok guys its brain picking time ,today i competed in a motorkhana and the old girl was only spining both rear wheels every now and then,so can anybody give me some ideas as to why?and what to do to fix the problem ,as in fix tha standard r33gtst diff or what other options there are ,and what kind of price range for any upgrades
  7. can any one give any information on how to set up a vernier cam gear on an rb25det, I know it can only go on the exhaust side,so any information would be a great help.

  14. like i said before just make it ,i am in the process of making mine now , two flanges ,a piece of three inch stainless ,and will make the tin work to go round it ,problem solved :sorcerer:
  15. if you need something for the track and other things just make an adapter pipe to go where the cat would go , its only two flanges and a bit of pipe welded together :sorcerer:
  16. ah hello thats why i am asking questions , power or performance gains as in the same you would get from velosity stacks on carbs eg different lenghts ,sizes to what the air flow into the turbo would go through
  17. hey peoples if i make a bell mouth and fit it to the front of my turbo inlet and run a bigger pipe to feed it will it give me any gains to power? the turbo is a standard rb 25 one
  18. when you go to give the nut a tap with a hammer try and use some thing like a copper hammer it should not damage the nut but still give a decent hit . if you do end up needing a nut you need to know thread dia and thread pitch ,eg ,1,1.25,1.5, 1.75 you will need to get hold of a thread pitch gauge to measure the thread, when you do get it all free and moving use a good anti seize to stop it from happening again , any way best of luck.
  19. if all else fails you will have to take the strut out disasemble it and split the nut off the thread, check the dia of the thread before you do !!! it shoold be a generic metric thread size and you should be able to buy a new one from any half decent bearing store
  20. if you hit around the nut with a hammer it should help free the nut its an old trick on tight threads , no heat required
  21. blackwoods they are all around australia they are industrial sales for just about any thing you need
  22. i should have said heat as only a last resort and only to wram them up to help draw any lubricant in to free the nut, a small amout of heat will expand the nut and heat transfer should be minimal
  23. you should be able to buy multi fit c spanners from places like blackwoods
