ah k, thanks alot man ill do the cam gears aswell. theres a kit i found off one of the shops like just jap auto imports, has a gates timing best kit that has quote Kit Contents: - Gates Racing Silicon Timing Belt - Genuine NSK Idler Bearing - Genuine NSK Adjuster Bearing - Camshaft Seals (2 Pcs) - Crankshaft Seal (1 Pcs) for $329, no mention of bolts but im sure thats easy to get. thanks for reply mate.

Hey guys, ive got this r32 gtr. the water pump has a massive hole in it which im gunna have to get replaced. probably get an n1 upgrade but while im at it what else should i get done while the mechanic has most of the front off to do this? any suggestions would be great, he suggested timing belt and bearings i think that go with it. I dont no the location of the oil pump would that be easy to change too or it that a completely seperate job?

I have the same problem with an r32 gtr. But i can actualy hear whats draining the battery. Its located inside the boot somewere. It keeps sounding like something is trying to engage. For instance the hicas or attessa? or maybe even fuel pump. when the battery is low and cant engage properly it just keeps "knocking" sound for about 10 seconds. But when i jump start it turn the key to on position u can hear it engage properly. any idea's? its more to the very back for the car in the middle, below the rear lights.

Yeah the custom heatshield idea sounds much better, thanks ill do some research into that

I wanted to do a little project on my skyline with relocating the turbo to some where hidden, and just have a few questions like, Is there any room besides the right side of the engine that could fit the stock turbo and the pipes bending into it? Would i have to buy a new manifold to attach piping? Estimated cost of custom piping and bends and labour of installing it some where else? Would i need any other parts to make it work or is it just adding the pipes and bends? I'd be grateful for any feed back on my questions and no negative comments please cause i already have thought about all the negative shit about this operation. Ta.

Yes its legal because the importer i got it from deals with p platers all the time and they do what i had to do, and they cant book you or anything because it isnt turbo'd even if its registered as one. Plus i got it back and even though im really happy i have the car but sooo much power has gone.. the exhaust sounds really bad because the turbo "buffs", takes the shitty piston/manifold noise out and now it doesnt have it, when u start getting to high rpm (not even real high rpm like past 3k+ revs) just sounds like a lancer with a cannon on the back. I was just wondering if anyone new what i could do so it sounds good again?

How dissapointing... My brand new r33 gts-t baby just imported from japan, straight into the shop to get its turbo taken out and replaced with a non turbo manifold just so i can drive it on my P's. . Though i did get to drive it on my L's as a turbo for a few drives and i can see why people love turbos so much. Although the reason why im doing all this is so when i get off my P's i can wack it all back in without much money. Just to let u guys no what such a gay feeling it is to feel your fast baby turned into a fat baby... slow I should be getting my car back this weekend hopefully it hasnt turned too slow. yer there are heaps of different opinions here and what i have been told. Their either really good or really bad, [reliable]. With things breaking and stuff. But my dad if he is buying somethink he always spends the extra to get the better which in this case probably the tegra type R sounds the best buy. Sporty, 2 door, nice looking shape, Fast etc but then i gotta pay dad back half of what the car was bought for. Anyone owned a tuned vtech engine and loved to go hard let us no if u had many problems? and the life span before anouther thing went wrong? Also how much that set u back with cash to fix the prob

32 line, yeah i see ure point. But i just love the shape of the r32. The type R looks very nice i was just looking around on car sales. Bit expensive but im sure dad would spend the extra. lol. Hey, i live in nsw. The new turbo law really shat on me hard core. So when i finaly get my license i wanted a r32 gts-t. I have a few questions. Is there a way around that law? Also cause i cant get a turbo, i still wanted a nice looking car but when i wanna go fast if i can. Thats when i started looking into the vtech in honda's cause i would be able to use them, a properly turned vtech can run a 13-14's. Is a gts any fast? How does a vtech actualy work? gts or a honda vtech? (probably prelude or integra) Even though u guys are nissan fans (so am i) i am just wondering

You can do alot to a car besides turbo surely. i went threw there suggestions on what to do and they only said about 5 things. Wouldnt there be like transmission, gear box, engine bay, port polish e.t.c im just learning of grand tourismo lol. i might be mistaken

I really like skylines thats why im probably guna get 1. Later on ill probably do a engine swop.

If i got a non turbo skyline r33 and later on when i got my full license put a turbo in it would it around the same speed as the other turbo'd skylines?

Is their anyways to by pass the turbo law for p plates?

yeah true after looking threw the link u gave me to anouther part of the site. But there isnt a clear list of things to do and their price range. If any one can be bothered to retype a list of suggestions and their price range that would be great.

Pointers - i mean a list of things i could do to make its acceleration quiker and their avarage price. So i would no what i would do 1st. I also saw a non turbo r32 are they slower then non turbo r33?

Hey, im 15 years old. I live in nsw. The new p plate laws killed my self esteam with car enthusiasm. Can a non turbo r33 93,94 model skyline could be made to go fast without turbo and if so any good pointers on how? I no im a bit young but its not that far off my L's. I always have been told skylines are useless without turbo's but it really want to make that not true.
