  1. I have fitted AP Racing discs and calipers to my stagea as the existing r34GTr ones struggled when I put 2860-5 turbos on .

Used a set for a skyline and everything fitted no problem . My hubs use 14mm bolts so everything was just bolt on except I had to grind off one small bit as it fouled the AP brackets

    Discs and calipers on

Wheels on (18 inch) and yes I know there are only two wheel nuts on :)

  2. Finally found and fitted a limited slip diff for a series one stagea.

To celerbrate went to a historic racing event at Brooklands

After a bit (well a lot actually ) of chatting up one of the marshalls  and yes it was a her . I was allowed to drive onto one of the no go areas and take this pic

  3. I think my swaybar bushes are stuffed on the front.

Something rattles when I go over bumps.

Does anyone know if R33 GTR have the same ones?

I have fitted whiteline swaybars to both front and rear and used the ones designated to fit a 33GTR

Front ones fit perfectly and the rears fit but the "bend" in the rear sway bar appears to be very close to the mounting to the body and looks like it may damage the bushes. This may be because the rear track on the stagea is wider.

However two years on they are still functioning fine and bushes look exactly as they dd when we fitted them

Car is a series one RS Four

  4. Yeah that could be right but I'am still passing email on with Uk club and seeing they have a few numbers as well that want this too

they should'nt have any problems from there end

    Keep ya updated

As chairman of the UK owners club I have been co ordinating this in the uk as unlike in oz stagea owners in the UK are spread across 4 forums.

We too have been running this one master list for theUK for about 15 months and this fact is on the original thread here as we wanted to keep everyone updated

People in the UK have ordered them. We were up to 16 but time has eroded interest plus some dont have the car now .So we are probably around 12.

Because we are on the list already we have of course already received the recent email direct ( a few times)

In fact to confirm the current uk numbers I posted new threads on all 4 Uk forums about the manuals saying they are now available with all the relevant details plus a bit about postage to the UK .

It was entitled STAGEA WORKSHOP MANUALS NOW AVAILABLE. I have also exchanged emails yesterday and today with the company about a one off bulk shipment to the uk once they are printed.

So unfortunately MasterJ you have confused everyone over here by posting your long thread the day after the I put this updated new thread in all the stagea sections .

I do appreciate you mean well but things are under control over here .You would have seen this if you had bothered to read our stagea section before you posted in it as its the most recent thread.

So far we have 3 confirmed in well under 24 hours

  5. BLO has to be THE best colour released for R32's.

I had a shitload of BLO pics but cant find them.

If you manage to find one (most were v specs) buy it.

    This is BLO .

    22122007199.jpg

I imported into the UK from Japan because of the colour about 18 months ago . It belonged to a family of a contact I have out there so I know a lot of the history . Car has done 65.000 miles and was standard apart from some bolt on mods.

I have spent the last year turning it back to factory spec and it should be on the road by the end of this month,

Having done some research the reason most were V specs is that the colour was special order only so most who ordered it and waited chose a V spec.

Unfortunately this isnt but I just love the colour . Not sure it will look better with the standard wheels though.

There is a thread about the car in the projects section on this site http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Re...in-t309264.html

it is hopefully going to be fetured in one of the UK mags so I will be able to post much better some pics when its done

PS A mate in the Uk has a TH1 car next meet we are at I will get a pic of them side by side

  6. yea i saw that it was only for the 26

i was thinking that it should be similar because it is a 4wd 25

hm... i guess no one uses nismo mounts in their stagea

I have them in my stagea.

It does have an rb26 but I am sure the mounts are the same as RB25 because the car had the original stagea ones before they were changed

  7. Can make 300kw (400hp) from an RB25 no problem so RB26 not needed for that power level!

Agreed I would not change a 25 for a 26 for that power. I didnt say you need a 26 I said it was easier

Sure you can get there with a 25 but if you have a 26 induction, exhaust , ecu and a boost controller and you are easily there ( mine made 420)

  8. didn't realise it was your site

seems like there is a bif of info on there

needs some bits and pieces about the rs4s's :(

Because of age the RS Four S has only been available in the uk recently so there not much info on this model over here yet.

  9. Hi Darrin,

for my money, it'd be a RB30 bottom end with whatever head you felt like: you wouldn't have too much trouble reaching your power goal with any of them, yes?

You're more than welcome to take mine for a spin and see what you think: I find the 26 a bit lacking in low end: if we were to have the time again, I would have opted for a 3L.

Depends what type of power/drive you want

If you want 400bhp Id go stage 1 RB26 with a power Fc any more an RB30 is may be better

I went down the forged Rb26 route but I had the engine in the car already and I wanted 500hp atw With 2860-5s there isnt much lag ( 470ish ft lbs at 4500rpm with virtually no drop untill 6500) .

plus it sounds insane over 7500rpm on high boost :(

Despite this if I had to do it again I probably would go RB 30 though a gearbox may be needed if you do too many drags

Apologies but everything is hp not KW in the UK

  10. The series one version of the Stagea was first produced in October 1966 until late 1998

    LOLZ!

1966 never seen one that old.

Thanks for what I think are meant to be positive comments. It is/was my first attempt at a website so there were always bound to be mistakes. In fact almost all the info that was wrong came from wikipedia .

Will be getting an update soon .

  11. Nismo did a digital display similar to the R34GTR for a stagea. Even had WGNC34 on the box and fitting instructions.

It is in the Nismo catalogue but I have only ever seen one advertised ever ( was in Japan a few years ago and I am still kicking myself for not buying it)

I will try to find some pics,

  12. Bear in mind RSFOURUK that most of the world uses km/hr not miles/hour. But it still looks a bit quick to me.

    Yes sorry about that

The 260RS was supposed to do 0-60mph (100kmph is 62,5mph) in 6 seconds so 5.65 would be a fair bit quicker.

  13. So mine is:

    Model: S2 RS4S

Mods: Turbo back exhaust, constant high boost mode

Power: 137 awkw (from prev owner, was running 7psi but is now running 10)

->0-100 Time: 5.65 as read from the ecutalk (with a quite a bit of clutch slip)

    Cheers, Tom

    O-100 in 5.65 - I should check your reading

  15. To answer a few questions

Its just a case of making sure everybody knows you want stock bits . A thread like this one on GTRoc forum in the UK has helped a lot.

Theres lots of bits lying around as people take them off to upgrade. The cost is usually not too bad (being a mate of the guy with the shocks helped)

The shocks and seats came from the same place - a loft . One of the guys I know GTRoc in the UK had ordered them and never fitted them. He was building a mint 32 but sold the car and bought the gold top secret 33.

Same with the wheels got pmd by someone who lived 30 minutes drive away.

The colour BLO was a special order only colour for 32GTRs so is probably the rarest facory colour. Its translated as greyish blue pearl. It a full pealescent and looks different in different light. Its a bit weird and goes from lilac to steel blue but seems to stay the same colour all over

3 more pics taken on the same day as the first one

Ive now got virtually all the bits including the exhaust :O

Came off of a freshh import and the guy knew I wanted one from the forum.

It was virtually new and as they are so hard to get I treatd it to some TLC.

It was bead blasted and then ali sprayed. Looked silly in white so sprayed it with some VHT exhaust paint from a custom motorbike shop. They do all colours including chrome and metallic Black.

    IMG_0011.jpggtrex.jpg

    IMG_0010.jpg

Now all I have to do is find time to fit all the bits. I will probably take some days off and do it all in one go ; hopefully in the next month.

  16. Yeah, but is it a series one RS-Four with RB26 fitted later on, or a factory series 1 Autech 260RS?

If it's a genuine Autech, I'd say it should already have full R33 GTR running gear (including R33 GTR suspension, diffs, drive-shafts, etc.) so the parts from the RS-Four *might not* fit. I'm not sure if the RS-Four and 260RS/GTR diff housings would be the same, so who knows if parts would be interchangeable.

sorry I can see my first post did not make things clear.

In an ealier life it was a series one RS four auto .

It has been converted to manual with a Tomei RB26 engine running just over 500bhp at the wheels. (which is why I want an LSD)

Although extensively moddified it still has the RS Four drivetrain with std dif. Ive wanted a LSD for some time but I cant use a gtr/autech diff without a major amount of work.

Altough rare Ive finally found an auto series one car with the factory LSD option so it should physically fit without a problem. (hopefully)

My question was does any one know what other work/problems I will need to sort.

  17. I have just got hold of a Series 1 stagea with a factory LSD fitted

Thinking it would be much more use in my rb26 manual stag than in an auto one so would be grateful of some help/comments

I am assumng it will be worthwhile as cost is not an issue as have the donor car so can swop any/all bits -All Ive got to worry about is actually swopping the diffs

Will I need to swop the front diffs as well ( different ratios ?)

What other work will be involved

  18. Thought I would post some details of my 1991 32 GTR which I am restoring to the original factory spec. If Ive posted in the wrong section please feel free to move it

I imported it direct from Japan with full history . It has 103.000Km on the clock which I am sure is genuine as I know the Japanese family it came from.

It is in one of the rarest GTR colours - BLO which was a special order only so putting it back to stock just seemed the right thing to do . ( plus it will save me a fortune as I wont be able to mod it :) ) I know it wont be anywhere near as fast as a modded car but I already have a pretty quick stagea so thats not a problem.

The car is in extremely good condition and seems to have virtually no rust . At first glance it appeared to be close to standard but when I made a detailed list I realised it needed quite a few parts especially inside the car

I have found pretty much everything including a close to mint interior and set of standard wheels which will go on when I fit my favourite find - a set of brand new GTR suspension units still in the Nissan boxes !! .

    05062007464.jpg

The only thing I need is a stock exhaust system which has been a nightmare to find as I am in the uk .

I have a GTS one which fits but have been told the GTR system was 3 inch wheras this is 2.5. If Anyone knows better please let me know.

    A pic of the car

    22122007199.jpg

Lastly I have been told the strut brace is stock but thought it was originally red ?. Again if anyone can confirm I would be grateful.
