Marco, for you, i will look into it. I have a few other events in the planning stages at the moment so i will put it on the list. We can definately do something later in the year. Might see if Blacksun is prepared to put their trophy up for grabs on this event as it is a "Karting Event". Mike and Nige, let me know what you think.

Marco, if you would like us to run one of these events, i would be happy to look into it for you. Looks like fun!
  4. Ill come down for a looksee. If i am your support crew, should i wear that Lyrca outfit again?
  5. I know you are not allowed anything with GTR in it as Nissan has set of copyright restrictions or something like that. Mike has battled with them over this and its not possible for him to get what he wants. Mike, shed some further light on this?
  6. Sell it an buy a GTR
  7. Try Autoworx, C-red, Japparts, KYP and others that i cant think of right now. Surely one of those guys will have a window and hopefully some time to fit it for you. Good luck!
  8. Its been talked about and SAUWA will have a drag night in the future
  9. Maybe next year we should car trailer it up?
  10. Been once before. Not a bad small show if you wanna make a weekend away of it.
  11. Drags at barbagallo was years ago. It was on the main straight and ran reverse direction and it was not 1/4 mile. It was "1/8th mile Blue Light Drags" Was a completely fail from day one. Has to be 8 or 9 years ago now. ahhhhhh memories
  12. LOL I know exactly what you mean! If you find the Sparco dealer locally or even within Australia let me know as there is a footrest that i want to order.
  13. Wow! Old thread lol Id still be ringing he mentioned shops.

Feel free to come out and try it at the next event
  15. The list of restricted vehicles does not include Honda Type R Vtec models. Now i have had the opportunity to give "onthehunt's" type r civic for a few laps on a race track, it would still b e quite easy for an inexperienced driver to do some serious damage
  16. P plate drivers will be allowed to drive turbo diesels if its work realated and that type of vehicle is required....or its the only family vehicle available at the time.....hence the loop holes that have been found in NSW

If you prefer a day event, we can run one. Keep in mind though it may offer more grip during the day, so Team RamRod will be harder to catch
  18. So lets saying im a P Plater and driving a car that i have just got a loan from the bank of $10k for. I get picked up doing something silly and they sell the car under the new laws. Who now pays the balance? The car is basically the banks property. Ill stop paying the loan, they cant repossess the car as i dont have it. Bank will lose alot of money and just accpet this? Is that not the same as buying a car thats encumbered? Sure i can buy it but if the balance is not paid, the bank has the right to repossess the car as the property is theirs? Am i wrong?
  19. Your first sentence should have sealed this argument dude. Spend a copuple of years becoming a good road driver....then worry about the performance car and track racing.
  20. Everyone of your agruments has been said by several P platers who have promptly ploughed into a pole etc. I think the first few years on the road you need to concentrate on driving and learning how the roads work and predicting traffic etc instead of concentrating on looking good with your doof doof blaring while drag racing every other putz at the traffic lights. For a plater (and 3 quarters of the car club community) to say "im going to do my racing at the track" doesnt mean much to me at all. I race at a lot of events per year and hardly ever see a P plater. The NoLimits club attendance numbers are around 20-25 entrants. Why? they can accomadate to around 50. So where are all these people who will do their racing on the track? The real deal is as soon as people hear $150 entry fee, plus a race license at $80 they feel its way to expensive and not going to do it.......yet i bet you have no probelms spending $1000 on FMIC, or $5000 on doof doof, of $3000 on da rimz etc etc. Im not having a go at you or anything like that...just voicing my opinion.
  21. P Plate restrictions are already in place in other states. Personally i support the idea. Young guys need to get experience on the road before driving performance cars. If you have a good look at the rules in other states, you will easily find loop holes all throught so even if it does happen here, it wont change to much, just makes people do a few extra things to be able to drive a performance car.
  22. Yeah they get very busy at time. Last time i spoke to them they were just on a month booked in advance.....best to keep that in mind to.
  23. Sorry instead of saying Ant is the best, maybe i should have said he is the preffered tuner for the big builds.
  24. I would call them or drop in and see them. Let them know what the car is and what it has etc and see if you find someone who seems very knowledgeable and that you are comfortable with. Ant at Xspeed is probably the "best" around but you may be able to find someone closer to home. Good Luck
  25. Even here you will get guys say this guy or that guy. Try the consolidated workshop thread and ring a few tuning companies....go with who you feel comfortable with. Tenagah Xspeed Allstart Garage TopRacing West Racing Hyperdrive Cypher Just to name a few that will be mentioned if this thread doesnt get closed in the next hour or so
