  1. Goldwave is your saviour.
  2. They are not the best boxes anyway. The tiptronic is better than what you have, but go manual for sure. Much better.
  3. I drove a fairly worn one (same clutch exactly) in a 200SX and it was really OK to drive. Didnt serge like a twin plate or anything. Might be different when they are new though.
  4. Try steal wool. The one with the soap "built in". Make it nice and wet and keep it that way. Clean the windows with this and you will notice a big difference, especially on the front. The water will "bead" off it better.
  5. SAFC2's are available on a lot of forums in the for sale section (like this one, or nissansilvia.com or boostcruising.com etc.) The Neo's are a lot more expensive and have a Vtec controller which is useless on our cars. They do look nice with their colour screen and graphics though ;-)
  6. You can jack it up from the suspension connection points on the chassis. They are tuff enough! But yes, use jack stands too!
  7. Want to sell the Pioneer system separately? Can swap for stock CD system + cash. Let me know via PM.
  8. Believe me, your one off killing of one of Australia's native animals is nothing at all compared to the number that are killed by semis ever day. Definately hit it. At worst you will need a new front bumper, bonnet and windscreen.
  9. And measurements too please!
  10. Thanks guys. I guess its not worth it with out a corresponding cam.
  11. Bump. Still for sale.
  12. I have a brand new adjustable Cam gear that I was going to put on my previous car, but I now have a R34 GTT. The question I have is, the car is basically stock and will shortly be getting the timing belt changed. I want to know if it is worth putting my adjustable cam gear on while the belt is off. Should I be installing my one cam gear on the exhaust or the intake (I have heard you only need the exhaust) or should I be buying another one and doing both? What sort of advantages would there be to having an adjustable cam in the future if I had a turbo upgrade, exhaust, SAFC, and FMIC? Or should I sell it and forget the whole thing?
  13. If you need a stock 1998 GTT Manual testbed in Sydney, let me know via PM
  14. A SAFC is a piggy back computer that you can get for about $250 (check Ebay). It can really help out with fuel control on imports like Skylines as it can be tuned to run the car leaner and therefore more economical. The tune can cost around $300 or so at a place like Hitman near Penrith. Well worth the investment .... after you get your O2 sensor checked out! How are you plugs too? A lot of general maintenance things like this can help.
  15. Can I suggest a SAFC and a dyno tune?
  16. Are they adjustable shocks? Pillows?
  17. The traction control button also disengages the hicas when you turn it off. Thats what I have been told anyway.
  18. If it came like that from Japan, try it out on all 3 settings but leave the other controller alone. See the difference. It looks more like the other controller is for boost though.
  19. Added home hi-fi speakers to my first car. Sat them behind the front seats (it was a celica TA22). Beat the single speaker in the dash though!
  20. I would try and sell your car privately. I got offered a stupidly low price for my old car and ended up selling it for 5 grand more privately than they were willing to give me! Give it time and advertise it for a good price (not a silly price) and it will sell.
  21. Buy a VL etc and learn to drive first. Save up the cash and put it into a better import in a few years when you can drive a turbo. You will have at least had a powerful-ish rearwheel drive to start off with.
  22. How can I tell which R34 rotors I have without taking off the rims and measuring them? Is it dependant on the year model?
  23. PM sent Also how about the GTT25 badges at the back. I will take them too.
  24. What is it that makes R34s so heavy? What can be done to reduce the weight without having to buy carbon panels etc? I am thinking a GTR bonnet, removing the rear seats (meh...), stripping the boot and removing the spare tyre (meh again...) I am wanting to get it down by as much as 100kgs if possible.
