  2. I have a set. Check out my for sale link in my signature.
  3. I will probably use the standard rods if rebuilding. Interested in the turbos but dont want to pay more than $2500 as I can get new ball bearing turbos for that much.
  4. Not sure of the offset, I need to measure them tonight, but they fit a R32 GTR with no problems and have a bit of dish as shown in the pics. They are 17x9 all round. Also the lips are polished (though need a bit of TLC but dont have any gutter rash) and the centers are factory painted silver. So you could get them resprayed in a different colour if you like and still have nice polished lips.
  5. BUT my argument is that for $3000 "change over" I will have a newer-ish engine without the blown ring. The cost of rebuilding could be as much as $10000 at the end of the day. While the engine is out I would spend a bit more and put on an N1 oil pump and new turbos. Then sell off the old R33 turbos and the old R32 engine and turbos (possibly in pieces). This could mean I could have a R33 engine with N1 turbos and N1 oil pump for less than $5000 total price (drive in drive out). To me that sounds better than $10000 block and head setup. Any other comments?
  6. Bump, still on the lookout people.
  7. Thanks for the advice guys. Now I have to find a quality R33 engine I guess. What about the turbos? Are they the same on the R32 and R33 (oh and yes I have a GTR already with a RB26 just to confirm)
  8. Sorry guys, the GTR is currently at the mechanic with the rims on it. I was ment to pic it up yesterday but will be getting it either tonight or tomorrow night
  9. I have a front passenger indicator. See my signature for the link.
  10. Acutally I have a R32! I was after a newer engine, but if you have a rebuilt R32 engine I am still very interested! Tell me more! Price? Components? Do you have recipts etc? What does it include? Why was it rebuilt? When was it rebuilt? I am willing to pay around 6-7000 for a basic rebuilt engine. But it really depends on what has been done to it. Will pay more for quality components! For a standard R33 engine around $4000-$5000 with a written leak test and compression test.
  11. Opps! Please put this in the General Maintenance thread Mods!
  12. OK I know I have been posting a lot lately but this is a different topic. I am considering swapping in a RB26 from a R33 and then selling off my semi-stuffed (low comp in one cylinder) engine to make the whole thing easier and cheaper. Is it worth it though? I know they both have ceramic turbos, and are close to the same power output, but obviously the R33 is newer than my old engine anyway. What other advantages do R33 Rb26s have over, say rebuilding the R32 engine I have? I am not after a hardcore car, just about 220kw at the wheels. Bryce
  13. Hmmm I am in the same boat. Cant decide if I should find a second hand engine or rebuild the current one.
  14. We baught it but decided we wanted a larger sink. As shown in pics, it is totally made of plastic, meaning no rust or dent issues. Very light too. $100 ONO. Bunnings has these for $220 Call Bryce on 0416275449 or [email protected] or PM
  15. After a rebuild of the bottom end. I either want a full engine that has just been rebuilt, or bottom end parts including: - Forged pistons (87mm) - Gasket kit - Metal Head Gasket - Oil restrictor - N1 oil pump - Rod bolts - Timing belt - N1 or other turbos (not standard R32 or R33). Also if you have a reconditioned head I would be interested in it too or a swap with mine (1993 GTR) PM me or call 0416275449 or email [email protected]
  16. street racing is bad.. mkay. The cold start issue sounds like my problem. Get a compression test.
  17. OK we did a full wet test too and it is definately a bottom end problem. The compression picks up when it is hot though. Runs very ruff when cold, but when its warm it seems fine. Oh well I guess I will start looking for rebuilt engines and/or parts. Anyone in Sydney who can help out please let me know. Also I am joining the NSW club right now. :-)
