  1. the box steel y joint would make things easier but im not sure how i would go about making the flap seal yet be free moving. il get hold of some new throttle bodies n hav a play i threw away a hole pile a few weeks ago so kikin me self nw
  2. i hav thought of using a flap as described by PLYNX but thought it would be a little more difficult 2 make. i was planning on using 2 throttle bodies but wasnt sure if it would leak under the pressure. i dont like the blow through method as the supercharger has 2 suck throught the turbo at low revs causing a restriction and at heigh revs it has 2 blow through the supercharger causing yet more restriction just thought my method would eliminate this. a dicharger is the name given 2 a system where a supercharger and turbo is ran on the same engine or at least thats what the european car companies call it
  3. K heres the problem I want 2 build a dicharged rb30 but the conventional method of running the turbo directly through the supercharger doesn’t appeal 2 me. What I wanted 2 du was run a y joint with 2 non return valves with a clutched sc14 supercharger geared to cut out by 4000rpm and a turbo that should hit full boost at 3500rpm and carry on up 2 redline Hopefully the diagram helps clarify my description basically the way I c it is that at low revs the supercharger (sc) will be producing about 10 psi which will produce a back pressure against valve2 as the turbo wont be blowing much air if any it will therefore seal it off. As the revs increase and the turbo spools the pressure equalises on ether side of the valve then eventually opening it as it increases. As we get a little higher up in the revs the turbo will over take the supercharger and therefore closing valve 1 then at 4000rpm the sc will completely disconnect using the electronic clutch they come with from factory Now the question I have is how would you advise I make these valves that can handle 20 psi without leaking
  4. is that safe with the fuel so close to the battory im putting a fibrglass cover between the 2 battories i have in the boot and the old lpg bottle i turned into a surge tank by braising a few fittings on it well c how it goes what u using 4 a pick up pump
  5. johan 18 hav me hands in a bit of everythn was a boat builder for a bit so know me fibr glass n worked on my cars n dads motorhoms for a while now so know a bit bot steel work n wiring also currently workin at hire company as a mechanic repairing and rebuilding engines aswell as a bit of fabrication of new framework and parts
  6. are that size spacers legal n are they alloy or something stronger
  7. its a 20 crank and cons in a 25 block a 26 crank only gives a rb21
  8. that is mint how did u du the fuel flap n are they gtr front qarters
  9. there quite nice what u do about the rims to make them fill the guards
  10. the 24 is built with a 25 block and pistons with 2litre cons and crank this givves the engine a very revvy nature like the 20 but the tourque of the 25 24 s only came in single cam factory and were only sold in the US so its going 2 be a complete custom build i havent mounted the intercooler yet it just mesh at the mo
  11. yea its fiberglass its home made out of timber moulds nothing was bought n i did all the work and im going to stick with that theme not 2 bad 4 an 18 year old. i have a bonnet ready and waitin 4 me 2 put some time into n get it ready. i also want 2 have a 1 off car im also going to the extent of building an rb24det as they are very rare
  12. thanks i l have a look at that the intercooler hole will prob stay the same but i can quite easily modify the side vents with some coving anyway heres some pictures of the rear
  13. i just started on my r32 wide body skyline just want 2 know what u think of it and maby some advice i will b flairing the front aswell but not made the flairing tool yet i havent found any rims yet as i need an offset of 130mm as it is 3 inch wider on each side il stick some more pics up 2mo
  14. so as the air flow increases does the ignition advance or dellay also would it work if i were to confuse the ecu telling it that there is a set ammount (not chanjing) of air entering the engine throught out the rev range (i know hot 2)
  15. iv tried looking for patrol parts but cant find any i thought they were single cams which would mean the manifold wouldnt fit a twin cam head also this means that the dizzy has nothing to attache to as the single cams dizzy is recessed into the head and runs of the cam shaft the reason for the conversion is for the revs but also the sound (iv heard that a carby rb sounds insane) and i also enjoy a challenge regarding the maf sensor i didnt think it affected the ignition. what does it do?
