  1. I got my auto on my old R33 gts-t modded, to shift hard, they told me they put in a larger pump and different valves to allow for harder shifts or something along those lines, it was a long time ago. and they also put a switch where I could make it change hard or normal, just increases pump pressure. It cost 2k though, but it stopped slipping and worked well. The car was putting out 270kwaw.
  2. I am in the process of pulling my motor out, got the last two bolts to do and they are the two on the top of the bellhousing of the gearbox. I had a little go but to no avail, has anybody got any tips on the best way to approach these bolts. A 14mm socket is hard to get on and swing and I am having problems getting a ringspanner on the bolts from the top, cause when I turn the spanner slides up and off for some reason. Some people take the gearbox out with the motor, if it comes to that then I will, but I have heard of many not having to do that. thanks.
  3. If you can find anybody who wants everything else I only need the bare motor. Would be interested at a revised price minus those things,if there is anyone out there???
  4. Are they the standard GTR seats or different ones. No offence its just a bit hard to tell I guess with all the leather.
  5. I know that $ comparison is self explanatory but I was more concerned with taxes and postage that everybody else was emplying and with exactly what rate a credit card company will actually exchange at. Vinnie can you find out if he gets stung with any extra costs/taxes, through customs or anything once his super charger comes in.
  6. Has anybody purchased car parts etc eg. turbs, manifolds anything go fast for the U.S with the current strength of the aussie dollar, and how has it faired cost wise. I know people like to get bits from Japan but the U.S also make great off the shelf bolt on parts also for Japanese sports cars. Anybody got experiences they can share??
  7. My engine needs to come out of the GTR and I have a mate who is a mechanic who will do it for me, but has never pulled an RB engine out of a skyline before or any Japanese performance car. His main thing is 4WD's eg. Toyota patrols, hilux's etc. So asked me to try find out if there is anything special that needs to be known before he gets started. I am helping him of course but I will have limited duties due to knowing and doing very little mechanics in my time. Is it too big a task for the inexperienced?? etc your input would be much appreciated before getting stuck into it.

    Tiny Turbos?

I have Power Enterprise Turbo's on my car that are IHI, and when the mechanic saw them told me they wouldn't be much better then stock turbs or maybe similar to N1 turbos, but after a good tune, our jaws dropped from the power the tiny twins produced. Mind you , not from such tiny amounts of boost the R35 is using but non the less, they were very impressive, and at least a couple years old now. I rated IHI after having these turbs.
  9. Would seem a bit pointless if it wasn't fully registered if that was the case. I know if I had the cash, saw the add gave them a ring to be told I can't drive it on the road, I would be shattered.
  10. I am not sure if its been brought up here or in any other posts as this thread is getting to long to read every post but I saw in Unique Cars today a car dealership in West Melbourne is advertising the GTR R35 for sale, labelled New and arriving soon. They would have to be selling this thing registered surely.
  11. I am thinking the R35 might not effect the R34 prices a great deal. To me the appeal of most japanese sports cars is there tuning potential and how affordable it is to get a 5-600hp car. I figure the tuning potential for the R34 is going to keep it in high demand, because I reckon the cost of fixing or replacing or strengthening a R35 DSG box would be pretty scary, compared to the R34 and everything else in general compared to the R34 in terms of tuning. My guess is my dream to owning one is a fair way off yet.
  12. I dont get it, are some of you guys actually saying that, now that they can possibly afford an R34 GTR, they are not sure they want one because, now everybody can afford it and they dont have that wow factor of rarity. I'm confused. You dont want something once it becomes attainable.
  13. I better go order 10 for myself right now in Oz, that profit might just about cover a freebie.
  14. Steve apart from the obvious power advantage and DSG, is there anything else you are impressed with the most about the R35 compared to the 34??
