i checked sensor sw and everything showed up fine.. car doesnt hunt on idle at all.. no dash lights.. i have stock injectors.. havent checked afm or leaking piping or dodgy aac valve.. car has no pickup at all even wen its floored on 2nd/3rd gear.. boost doesnt build as quickly either.. put my hks kansai modified ecu back on to check if something had crapped out in the meantime but car went hard.. so i figured it was perhaps base map etc.. was wondering whether its possible to lock values via software like datalogit which isnt cleared with the normal ecu reset..

hey paul just wondering how suitable the base map is PFC for R32 GTR.. initially i failed to turn off the ignition after resetting the ecu and car sounded like a WRX and drove like a Lada.. so i reset the ecu again only this time turn ign on/off and did the learning procedure.. still same result.. my only guess is that base map is unsuitable for my car which is close to stock.. i have read on the forum that base maps typically provide lot more power/response through the band unlike stock restricted ecu.. anyone else have similar result?

how can i find out the gearbox oil level and whats a good oil for it.. heard good things bout redline however expensive.. also how often should the oil be changed?

ah nice one.. could definately be the culprit and very unassuming..

i dont have any relocation kit.. the leaking oil was engine oil.. isn't the power steering oil different? does make sense that one of the belts might be splashing the oil around.. not a lot of it had leaked onto the ground..

hi guys, my car is leaking engine oil from driver side of the engine bay.. initially thought it was oil filter but no sign of leak there.. not power-steering since oil is different.. are there oil lines on the drivers side.. how can i find out if the oil pump has crapped out.. will it squirt oil if it does die.. tried finding a split hose but couldnt.. seems to leak once car is under-load.. oil pressure stays aroung 1/4 mark as always.. wot else should i be looking for?? seals etc? oil seems to spray.. was all over the battery portion along the middle and just past the struts(?)..

umm i guess only way to find out is to turn it ON and see if it makes a difference.. was reading PFC hand controller manual for RX7 and instructions for resetting of PFC via controller said selecting YES followed by Ignition switch OFF -> ON.. i didnt do the final step wen resetting my ecu as i was following ur guide and i think it didnt list it.. i hope i wasn't running the car with the previous map still on it as it was tuned for 370kw+..

hey paul, thanks for the reply.. wen i resetted the pfc initially, O2 feedback sensor was ON, however there was another setting below it, O2 sensor reg which i assume is a regulator etc.. this was OFF by default and i was wondering if that could be the cause of my weird zorst tone.. car doesnt hunt on idle but clearly lacks power.. do u think i need to reset the ecu again and have the O2 sensor reg. turned ON and then have the car re-learn over 30mins? sensor status on the hand controller shows all clear and working..

hi guys, i have read the PFC faq.. for all RB26 owners.. wondering if you have set the O2 sensor reg. (on or off).. this is below the O2 feedback setting which i have also turned on.. initially it was off and after 30 mins of ecu learning.. it sounded like wrx with its zorst note.. on a side note, car is currently leaking oil from driver side somewhere so further testing on hold atm.. any pointers on where to look.. check oil filter and no sign of oil there.. perhaps a tear in one of the pipes on that side that leaks under load.. cheers nesh
