Hey guys, My sisters R33 GTS-T's clutch is slipping very badly. The only way I can drive it is to slowly increase rpms. If I try to go quik, the engine just revs up and the car goes no where.
The clutch is a heavy duty triple plate something something (cant remember the rest). Ive driven the car when the clutch was good and it felt like it was either on or off it was that good. The strange thing is, that it doesnt smell or anything but it does shake a little.
So you think its def a bad clutch? or something else.

Id get it checked for previous accidents asap. This happened to my brothers r32 after he smashed it into a traffic light pole.

I cant see them just impounding his car. My mate was cought doing 140 in a 70 he lost his licence for 6 months and got a 1000 fine.

My brother has an auto 300zx and bought an awesome aftermarket rad but it was for a manual. He bought an oil cooler and connected the hoses to that instead and bolted the cooler at the front. Works alright.

Measure the current draw through each fuse. That will at least narrow it down a bit.
I think ill do that ey. I tested the current draw at the battery and it said 170mA but I could have had it on the wrong settings and it was 1.7A lol

Nah its not the the light its previously been removed for what ever reason. I cant see any lights. Ill keep prodding around untill I can find something. I think im going to have to take it to the auto leccy to suss it out but they charge an arm and a leg

Hey guys, I have my sisters R33 GTS-T here and the damn battery is always flat in the morning. I thought it might be a buggered battery so I installed the one from my Z and that ended up going flat in just one night too.
I jumped the car and tested the voltage across the terminals and it was only 13V and when revving the car it actually droppe to 12.8V. OK, dead alt. Ill get another one but it doesnt explain why its making a freshly charged battery dead over night
I checked how much current its pulling when the car is off and its 170mA. Would that be enough to drain a bettery over night?

Bumping this thread. I now have 2 of these boxes. The original one and an extra one that is complete. Its a little crunchy though. Offer me something!

My brother bought an unreg VL with custom blue plates. We got the car registered and gave them the paper for the plate and then they tell us that "it can only be given to family members" WTF ?

Sounds like i should of taken the VL down to midland instead. I went to East Perth and i only passed it on the 4th time because they kept "finding" new shit wrong at each inspection.
There is this guy their ( i call him Himal) because he is an inspection Nazi ) and he wont pass anything. I saw him fail a few brand new cars ffs.

Where would i begin to get info on how to import a car from NZ ? Am i allowed to import a car that is already made in aus ? ( New Zealand had a v6 and aus only got the 4 ) Im planning to import a 89 mitsubishi v3000 so i can tranfer the engine over to my 89 magna elante. I just hope everything is a direct swap over.

Bought a car and got this gearbox for free. It has a broken output shaft and previous owner told me that there is nothing wrong with this box but the shaft. I cannot believe that if the output shaft is snapped the internals of the box are undamaged.
Im planning to open it up and inspect it and hopefully fix anything thats broken. Problem is, i have never opened up a gearbox before. Is there something that might go ping and hit me in the head or something ?
Also, anyone got an image with an exploded view of one ?
Also one last question. will an R32/33 gearbox just bolt straight in a VL commodore chassis ? like mounts all in the same spot ?

Im selling an RB20DET 5 speed gearbox. I dont know the condition of the box internally but the output shaft is broken. I got the gearbox as an extra when i bought my car so ive never had it tested before.
If anyone wants pics i can take some tommorow because its to dark atm.
I dont know how much these go for tbo so umm.. $200 ?

The guage in my Magna was broken and I knew it was time to get fuel when the car would start cutting out going around corners lol.
